Animal Expedition DSP Kangaroo

Hello there and happy Saturday,
Todays card uses the Animal Expedition DSP and the Animal Friends dies that work both with the stamp set but also the paper :-)
Love how cute this Kangaroo and Koala are together. To make the image stand out from the heavily patterned paper I added a little vellum circle behind them...
I decided to team it with the "Subtle" embossing folder which turns any regular card into textured card. Gotta love that!
Add a little sequin trim and twine and top with a sentiment to balance out the image :-)
Plus this DSP is included in the 4 for 3 offer this month only!
I love how quickly these cards can come together with the papers and matching dies!
Thanks for looking today!

Animal Outing with a FREE Ombre Frames Tutorial

Hello and welcome to another challenge week with Inspire. Create. Challenges.
This week it's a theme challenge (challenge #21) and it should be one most of us can follow fairly easily as it's simply "Kids."
As this can be interpreted in so many ways, I'm sure you will make something in the next fortnight that you could use to join us and we'd love if you shared it with us at the challenge :-)
So, this challenge was perfect for me this week as it was our grandson's birthday a couple of week's ago so I saved this card to share, ready for this challenge and I even did a super quick photo tutorial too! I used the Animal Outing stamp set (again) with the number dies (so sad they retired) and my blends to make this DL sized card...
This Rhino is sooo cute! I wanted to make the two panels pop some more so I added a little frame. I then used my blends to make the ombre effect and as I made the second frame I made a little photo tutorial for you too...
I used the stitched and regular square framelits and light and dark pool party pens, although I'm sure it would work in just about any colour you wanted :-)
Any questions please do ask.
I added a strip of embossed card across the centre using the Petal Burst folder, wrapped in (retired) pool party twine.
And a few sequins always make any card just a little more special!
So, that's my "Kids" card for you today! I was super happy with the end result and so was our grandson, well for a few minutes anyway, until he went back to his Duplo ;-) Love him x
To see what the rest of the super clever DT have come up with do visit the Inspire. Create blog HERE! I'm sure you'll be amazed at their brilliant ideas! And we'd LOVE it if you shared your creations there too :-)
Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be back soon with another make.

Rhino Card with Tufted Embossing Folder

Hello there and Happy Sunday!
Today's card uses the very lovely Animal Expedition DSP teamed with the Animal Friends dies which (happily) fit the images on one of the sheets of this paper as well as the stamps, of course! I've teamed the die cut image with the new tufted embossing folder and I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle ;-)  Let's see...
Loving the tufted embossing folder for simple textured backgrounds...
I love how simply die cutting these DSP images are so handy for a card in a hurry.
Add a vellum stitch edge circle, silver thread and a tiny strip of glimmer paper.
I'm loving this layout for cards at the moment so I really hope you are too because there's more where this came from, lol!
Well, thanks for looking today, I'll be back tomorrow with another new card.

'A Little Wild' Lion by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
I'm back with another "A Little Wild" card! This time I've used the little lion to make another peek-a-boo card, notice the little loop of twine under the lion?
I teamed him with some paper from the wood textures pad for a rustic look, lets see shall we?
I die cut a circle from the paper using the stitched edge framelits (have you noticed how much I adore these??) and added a little **Halloween Night bakers twine** around the bottom before adhering it flat then popped the circle up on dimensionals.
**At the time of writing this post this twine is still available on the clearance rack for just £2.20 - and thats for two spools!! Go, go, go!!!**
I die cut the stamped and coloured lion from shimmer card using the matching framelits. I then die cut a second, plain layer so I could add the loop of twine between the layers to keep it hidden. Stamp the sentiment and we are good to go!
How super cute are these little guys?!
And before I go I just wanted to share a full shot of the lion (I trimmed the tag topper away) with it's front and back. I am hoping to make a spinner card with this guy soon...
OK, that's all from me for now. Are you a fan of "A Little Wild" now too?
