Congratulations Jane!

Good Morning!
Well we had a lovely day yesterday strawberry picking, we picked plenty and ate one or two too ;-)
Anyway, as promised here is the card I made for Jane, the lucky winner of the prize draw I was running, a new one starts on Sunday, more details HERE. This card was inspired by the CPS sketch this week, a great one I think I will use again and again!
Base is Not Quite Navy, a colour I have really started to love of late ;-) with Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze, I "discovered" this combo when I ordered some card this month. These three were together in the delivery and I decided to make my next card using them!
I used Seam Binding ribbon in Baja Breeze (In THIS share) to make another double bow,
I stitched round the Crumb Cake layer attaching the Vellum Card stock sentiment from the Level 2 hostess set Something to Celebrate, you can earn this for FREE, ask me how sarah-janerae@sky.com . I also added some Basic Rhinestones to finish this bit off,
The fireworks stamp is from the often overlooked set New Years Celebration, it also has a Champagne Bottle and Glasses amongst others too ;-)
I also stitched and stamped inside
and a final side view showing off the Square Lattice Embossed layer too,
I really hope Jane likes her prize and this card and also that it arrives before she see's this post! ha ha!
Thanks for stopping by today, I will be back tomorrow with my Simply Stampin' Challenge card, do stop by if you get a chance.

Another Graduation Card

Hello,
I was asked to make a Graduation card for a girl again this week, the hard part was that it was for the same girl as before! eek! Isn't that the hardest?? making more than 1 card for the same person is just the toughest. Anyway after looking round for some inspiration I found a template to make this Mortar Board card, I have changed it around a bit to suit what stamps I had and used a Rich Razzleberry colour scheme but all the measurements are the same,
Sentiment is from Live Your Dream, I thought it was very appropriate for graduation, glasses are from New Years Celebration which I coloured using a blender pen and Champagne Shimmer paint, I die cut a photo turn to keep the card closed and a simple Congratulations is inside,
and just a side view for you, Isn't the ribbon tassel great? I just unpicked and frayed some spotty Razzleberry Ribbon,

Well that's today's card for you, I have Zack's sports day this afternoon but I will be back tomorrow with Teachers cards and gifts before I go to Zoe's sports day,
Thanks for stopping by,

Graduation Card for a Girl

Good Morning,
First up, to keep you updated I have no roof left on my old garage, sooo exciting and it is still outside, not to say there is no dust already mind ;-)
So, onto the card for today, a friend asked me to make 2 Graduation cards, one for her neice who is graduating from uni soon. Now, unfortunately I don't have any graduation stamps at all so I went with the very versatile New Years Celebration,
Colour combo is Kraft and Cameo Coral, ((loving the coral))
Paper on the bottom half is from Pink Flamingo, edged using the spiral punch, Graduate is stamped using the Just Perfect alpha,
yummy brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit,
Champagne and bubbles are topped in Crystal Effects,
The inside is finished with a little of the same dsp, sentiment is an old hostess set from last year, perfect sentiment tho right?

Well, thats it for today, they are taking down the garage walls today, weather permitting I suppose, excting times round our way right now,
Thanks for stopping by, I really love that you do and Stampin' hugs to you all,

40 today!

Happy birthday Rich!
Yes, it's our good friend Rich's birthday today and you know what that means don't you?? Yup, a dreaded card for a man! lol! Unusually the idea for this one came to me straight away.
I knew I wanted to use the champagne bottle from New Years Celebration as what is better for a special birthday that champers? ;0)
Colours used were So Saffron (retired paper) Night of navy background card which was stamped with matching ink using the fireworks stamp from the set and Old Olive DSP, I have also given you a special sneak peek, can you see what it is?? yes, on the bottle I have coloured the labels using fab new White Shimmer Paint, oooo, I love it already!
Star Punch (which is on offer this month, see top post) used on the front and in photo below, inside, Congrats stamp is from Say it with Scallops, Old Olive ribbon stapled to DS paper, small circle punch outs covered in Crystal Effects to make faux brads.
Now for his birthday he is getting an I-Pod (amongst lots of {40} other things) so we got him an I-Tunes voucher,
Here is the little pocket/card I made to hold it,
and here it is open.
Now, I have seen a few of this shape gift card holders around but I made this one up today as I was going, if you would like the measurements then please email me.
That's it for today, I am going to Reading tomorrow for a Stampin' Up! training day, I am so looking forward to it, not least to meet up with all the other SU! demos but also as these events are always so inspiring, then Sunday I am off to the Ideal Home Exhibition, it's gonna be a fun weekend!
I'll be back Monday with all the goss, make sure you pop by,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Dads Birthday

Hello,
Have you got any snow yet?? we had a good flurry yesterday but nothing laid :0( here's hoping soon, but maybe next week as we are going to Essex on Sunday for the day to visit friends and do the Christmas thing, I am so looking forward to it! Anyways, I am going to do the tutorial today for the couple of lovely peeps who asked for the measurements of yesterdays milk carton, I may even get it posted today??
For now though I have a card I made for my dad, it was his birthday on the 10th of Dec but I have been hoping he may have had it before I posted here, but no not yet! I sent it in plenty of time too, but in Spain apparently there has been 2 bank Holidays this last week! I hope that's all it is, delayed, as his birthday present and Christmas presents for him and his partner, Shirley, were all in there!!! eeeek!!
Anyways, I made this one loosely based on the new years card we made at convention, stamps used were New Years Celebration, Occasional Greetings and Yummy, Glossy Accents all over the bottle. Basic Grey Card base with Night of Navy and Bashful Blue card accents.
Well, I hope you like and I really hope it gets to him!!! soon would be nice too (but anytime would do!!)
Hopefully back later,
Keep Warm, Sarah-Jane xxx

WOW! WOW! and WOW! again

Good morning to you all today,
I have had the most fantastical (made up word) weekend in Germany at the very first EUROPEAN CONVENTION in Bad Homburg near Frankfurt!!!! I met some amazingly friendly, generous and gorgeous ladies and I have Loads of photos to share with you, don't worry though, I won't show you all 111 today tho! lol!!

The first photo is when we queuing up for registration ~ L-R Nicci, Jules, Karin (my roomie for the first 2 nights *waves*)and Jeannette (my roomie for the last night *waves*) and on the right Bekka and Stevie
I spent lots of time with Jules my SU! mum who was a winner in so many ways, not least as she came 2nd in Demo of the year!!!!!! she also won lots of other awards too,
Well Done Jules :0) **mwah** really proud of you xxx

L-R Jeannette, Jules, Bekka, Natalie, Kim and Nicci.
Thanks to all the ladies I spent time with this weekend, I hope you all had as fab a time as I did and look forward to seeing you next year..................................

..............................IN LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wowee, how exciting is that!!???!!!!
and how would you like to be there to join in all the fun?? Why not sign up as a demo with me?and don't forget SU have got a special offer on for a few more days only (you've only got 'till Friday) to receive a special 10% off the already brilliant value starter kit, and not forgetting my offer to add to this is an extra free set of your choice up to the value of £25, only if you sign with me, for more details follow the link in the side bar or email me and I will be more than happy to help you :0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost finished for today; Guess what? I won a prize this weekend!!!!! on a fab little thing called "Prize Patrol" and *look* what I won!!!! a fantastic stamp set called Winter Post which is a Shelly signature collection set I have had my eye on for a very long while, Shelly did a fab demo with this set and I will be having a little play with this after she inspired us all with her projects,
and here are three of the 4 projects we did on Saturday morning on the make and take part of our convention, using the sets we all had for FREE if you attend!! still thinking about signing up??? drop me a line... you really won't regret it...
Stamp sets used were "Circle Circus" ( I have been soooo excited about getting this set and was really looking forward to playing with it finally) and also a little set from the beginning of the catalogue which, I think, could be easily over looked as it is called "New Years Celebrations" but, look again as it soo versatile, it could be used for so many things - 18th, 21st, 50th.. well, all the milestone birthdays, you get the idea, or how about weddings? anniversaries? or just the fab fireworks can be used as a subtle background? Great set, if you want to look at it more closely see page 16 or if you need it now let me know ;0)
Right I have waffled enough for one day! I will share some more piccies with you tomorrow of the gala evening and some of the fabby 100 of so wonderful swaps I received from English, French and German demos **waves** to all you swappers out there, you are all fantastic xxxx,
Big hugs to everyone, Sarah-Jane xxxxxxx
