Harry S's Birthday and an update

Hello this morning,
How's ya doin'? I have a class tomorrow morning so better get this posted now so I can tidy around first thing ;-)
Today's card is the other Harry's card I mentioned the other day, this one uses the excellent papers Celebrations, they are sooo great for boys cards and as so many of us struggle with those then that can only be a good thing, these truly make it easy.
So, back to this card then,
I made a banner with Harry's name on it, Shelli showed us this idea at convention using the Modern Label Punch and I used the Just Perfect Alpha wrapped it around Silver Cord and sprayed it with Shimmer Paint spray,

Here I cut out the arrows and layered them on black card and cut them out again to point to number 6 (I like to add their age as I didn't once for Zack and that's all he kept saying all his birthday, won't make that mistake again!!)
finally a bad picture of the inside ;-)

And before I sign off I would just like to mention that the Satin Ribbons AND In Colour Ribbons are all here and cut up ready to go, email me if you would like to purchase some, most details at the top of my blog.
Thanks for looking today and I promise now I have finished most of the painting at home to try to be a better blog visitor to you all xx,
Hugs,

Gumballs!

Hello,
I have a cute little card today that would be fabulous for birthdays for boys and girls alike, just jiggle the colours around! I have used Kraft, Tempting Turquoise and Real Red for the most part of this card and just look at that cute gumball machine from the Every Little Bit set...

Sentiment is from Crazy for Cupcakes, perfect with this stamp don't you think?

and a close up showing more Crystal effects, I think I need to add another bottle of this fab stuff to my next order, I have used gallons on my swaps!

O.K. that's all from me today,
Have a great day,
Hugs,

Pink Passion Milk Carton

Hello,
Bit of a quick post from me today, I made this for my sister the other day to give to her friend filled with choccies for her birthday, as the title says this one is made with Pink Passion card with Tempting Turquoise mat and tab,

background is made with the Good Friend stamp set, one I haven't used for a long time, I had forgotten how much I like it. Mini paper clip on the tab from the Clips Assortment tied with Satin Ribbon and Silver Cord,

and a quick close up of the image, I know it is a retired SAB set but it is just so perfect, Well done if you managed get your hands on a set :-) Love the little Tiny Tag Punch (mini catty) for sentiments,

I coloured the cake with blender pens and a mixture of ink pads and marker pens, If you would like to learn how then why not come to one of my monthly classes or even host a workshop? email me for more details or to place an order sarah-janerae@sky.com
Thanks for looking today,

2 Cards from me today

Hello,
I know I have been a bad blogger again and I am sorry, but I have been really busy, I promise! Hubby has spent a couple of days in hospital with kidney stones again (stressful to say the least, for all concerned) and I have also been Very Busy getting ready for Saturdays Craft show.
So anyway to make up for it I have 2 cards to share with you today!
First up is a very simple card, this is another one for my mum, she gave it to my elderly Aunt. It uses the lovely DSP from the sweet pea paper stack, It is so pretty it really needed very little added to make a lovely card,
sentiment from oval all,
I added lashings of crystal effects to the butterfly to highlight it,
and another blurry inside picture, not sure why the inside ones are like this lately?!
anyway, you get the idea ;-)
Now, the second card for you today is a bit different from what I usually make... but I do like it,
It uses Bella Toile with the scallop edge punch, some yummy Red Satin ribbon (great for nice big, lush bows)
and finally an arty angle showing the layers. Buttons along the bottom and sentiment again from Oval All.
Well, that's all from me today, I hope you like what I have shared with you today and thanks for bearing with me this week, please do leave a comment of you have time :-)
Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Milk Carton in Melon

Good Morning,
I trust you are all well, I must apologise for lack of posts again this week but DH has been in hospital, he is home now and (hopefully) on the mend so normal service should resume presently :-)
I made a new Milk Carton last week after seeing one in this colour made by my lovely friend Nicky. Thanks for the inspiration hun x
It uses the yummy new Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry card stocks and Inks, they are lovely together aren't they? Contact me for info on getting a little of all the new colours in my SHARE, only 3 left, hurry!
Please see side bar for my step-by-step tutorial on how you can make this carton,
I stamped the box before scoring with matching Ink using the spotty heart from the I {heart} Hearts set,
This tab is not glued so as not to spoil the box when removing any contents. I made it using the Tab Punch and scrap of ribbon, the cute clip holding it all together is accessorised with yummy tags made using Tiny Tags stamps and matching punch tied on with Silver thread,
The large heart is made using the full heart punch and the spotty one was cut out by hand and inked all over with Versamark, I then used Heat and Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds to make it gorgeous and sparkly,
Finally I must share this with you. The day I made this Milk Carton Zoe was going dancing, she went up to get changed and came down in this! Totally her own choice but I thought she just matched my Carton perfectly? What do you think??
{{P.S. Don't mind the garden behind, it is very much a work in progress at the moment, may even get some work done out there this weekend...}}
Well, that's all today, have a great Thursday and here's to the sun shining again today,
Hugs S.J. xxx

Medallion Thank-You's

Hello to you all,
I have a set of note cards I made to share with you today, I made these for the lady who hosted the charity ladies day I went to on Friday. It went well and I made a £10 for the charity selling the tree chocs I showed to you which all adds up doesn't it? I also bought a couple of raffle tickets, and guess what?? I won! a lovely thick rug in beautiful browns too, it's lovely, I am saving it though 'till I get my extension done next summer :0) (I will be getting a craft room, YAY!) anyways, onto the gift set...

Now I have to give credit to Monica and Marlene for inspiration for these cards. As you know I love the medallion stamp already but hadn't thought about using it with craft white ink, that is until I saw Monica's note cards. And the lovely black edge is inspired by the Shoe Box Swap we made when we went to Oxford for our Jems weekend. I loved it so decided to re-create it on these, so Thank-You to both you lovely ladies **mwah**
This is the box I made to keep them in, I used a lovely brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware set (1 last share left, see side bar for details on how to get your inky hands on a taster) Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations,
And finally here is the whole set together, I inked up the medallion stamp with Basic Grey ink, stamped it off then stamped it on the corner of the envelope to get the faded look, all supplies SU! and available through me. I hope you like :0)
I'm off to town today with hubby to hit the Christmas present list, back tomorrow, with SU! does home work!!
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
