Anyone for Anya? sketch

Hello everyone!
So sorry I am late with this post I made this card last night and was going to post first thing, well, straight after I had been to do the weekly shop as we didn't have a thing in!... but my friend popped in just for a little while and ended up staying most of today (shhh!) I mean I was very busy with housework *ahem* all day ;0)
Anyway I used this sketch from the brill challenge blog Anyone for Anya? and I have to say I loved it too! I think it's a keeper,

Right so this is the card I made using the sketch and the lovely Miss Anya stamps, I coloured her in ages ago with these papers in mind but I have only just got round to using her,

Papers are Spiced Cider which in the photo look a bit pale but IRL they are Really Rust and Old Olive-a lovely combo

Ribbon is Kraft coloured Taffeta and button is from the Earth Elements pack, dew drop from stash, Image coloured with pro-markers,

Scraps used up on the inside,

And finally a dimensional shot ;0)
I hope you likey,

A Card, A Reminder and New Catty Details :0)

Morning all,
Well it's a really lovely day here but I do have a card to share with you before we go into the garden and get on with some much needed to be done jobs!
I used a Kraft base and lovely Rose Red DSP for this card,
Images are from All in the Family Accessories set stamped in Rose Red and Pale Plum, I added a bit of colour from the ink pad with a blender pen and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter with the NEW 2 way glue pen (available on Friday from the NEW catty!)
Circles are in matching card, Sentiment on front is from Sincere Salutations,
I even decorated the inside :0)
Here is the side view, not sure if you can tell but I only used dimensionals for the middle circle so it would stand out the most.
-------------------------------
Now for the Reminder! As you probably know the new Catalogue is out on Thursday, so that means that the Last Chance list is finishing on Wednesday! If there is anything you need from the list then please let me know asap as after Wednesday night that will be it, gone forever :0(
-------------------------------
Now, if you also need (and trust me, you do!) a new catalogue then it will be available to you from Thursday. If you would like to be one of the first people to get your sticky mitts on one then I can send it to you from Wednesday and hopefully it will be with you (Royal Mail allowing) on Thursday!! How exciting, I have such a long wish list already, it is truly fab ;0)
The cost will be just £3.50 + £1 p+p. email me for details sarah-janerae@sky.com
Well, that's all folks!
Hope you have a lovely rest of the weekend and hope you will pop back tomorrow for another little card I have to share with you,

Teddy Birthday

Hello all,
Quite a quick post this afternoon I'm afraid, I want to share with you another card I made the other day using All in the Family Accessories set.

I stamped the little teddy and balloons then added a bit of colour to them with a blender pen,
Papers are the lovely Summer Picnic, Grab 'em while you can!! as they are on the Last Chance List and they are great for men's/boys cards,
Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations,
Last of all "Thank-You" to everyone who came to my Open House today, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and a special thanks to Nicky for helping and Get Well Soon to Elaine ((Hug))
Right, must dash, I hope you like him :0)

Lollipop, Lollipop...

Morning,
Just thought I would take a leaf out of Emmas book and start today's post with a sing song :0) plus my kids love that Dell ad! well, I have made a couple of lollipop cards (well that's what I'm calling them, not sure if that is correct??) O.K. so lots of piccies today, you have been warned! rofl!
First up is a card made using "Good Friend" in Regal Rose and Brocade Blue.

I stamped the 'flower' heads and then cut them out but to finish I inked the edges using a sponge ('cause I didn't want the white edge to show),

Stems stamped in Certainly Celery using the trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig, flowers added with dimensionals,

Ribbon is Rose Red double stitched grosgrain, isn't it yummy? topped with a layer of Certainly Celery 5/8"
---------------------------------------
Next card is much the same but with a So Saffron and Perfect Plum colour combo (loving this combo)
Right, I'll be honest this blank started out as a mistake, I picked up this piece of card and thought "perfect width" once I had scored it I realised it was not the perfect length!! anyway I like the end result with the little strip! so a "Happy Accident" as some telly people say!!
Here I have done much the same design with the flowers except I used Old Olive for the stems,

Which goes lovely with the matching ribbon, and a last dimensional shot.
I hope you like today's cards and I hope you will visit again tomorrow when I will share with you a card using the "All in the Family Accessories" set.
Happy Wednesday!
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Wanna Come and Play on Thursday???

Morning all,
Do you live near to Southampton or the New Forest (Dibden Purlieu on the Waterside to be more exact) ??? Not doing much this Thursday between 10 and 2??? Fancy a cuppa and a chat and not forgetting a little crafty time too?? Well why not pop round as Thursday is my very special "Open House" day.
We will have a cuppa and a piece of cake, take a last look at the retiring stamp sets before they go forever at the end of the month and of course we will be making a card something like this....

I would love to see you here on Thursday and do feel free to bring a friend or two. Do drop me an email { sarah-janerae@sky.com } with any questions and some numbers if you know them, so I can be fully prepared for everyone, but this is not essential :0)

Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday,
Take care, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

1st of many...

Morning all,
Yay!!! I have finally managed to make my first Christmas card of the year!!!! I promised myself I would start much earlier this year, but I was clearly wrong (or just plain "can't get into it when it is still sunny") anyway I was doing a little hopping the other day and came across this lovely card by my fellow SU! demo Teri, Thanks Teri =). I thought to myself I have this set and I love this card, I'm gonna have a go! SO I duly pulled down my Christmas box (kept atop of the wardrobe all year) and found although I had this set I also had a whole lotta other Xmas goodies up there too, including this lovely holly border punch I had clean forgotten about! Result eh?

Anyway this is the card I made and it came together really easily too, I based it on the sketch from the Corrosive Challenge blog. I love this set but only got it really late last year so have only really used it once or twice before, It is called Old-Fashioned Christmas and you will be seeing a lot more made with it in the next couple of months me thinks... :0)

I stamped the jolly Santa in Creamy Caramel ink onto Kraft card stock and sponged the edges in the same colour. Kraft DSP is from the level 1 hostess set which is only available 'till end of September (I so wish they would make a whole pack in this colour)

Sentiment is from Seasonal Wishes set which I am sad to say is retiring at the end of the month but if you like it *result* as it is currently 50% off!!! but be warned you will only be able to buy it until 30th Sept or sooner if they sell out. Punched out here with the Scalloped Oval Punch.

Dazzling Diamonds in the snowflakes and a shot of the inside,

email me if you need either of these sets or anything else from the catty for that matter, and don't forget I am still offering capped postage and a special gift from me with all orders until the end of September.

sarah-janerae@sky.com

Last shot to show the dimension ;0) I hope you like??
Have a good day, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Baroque in Plum

Morning all,
Hope you are all having a good morning so far, Zack is at school but this is his last day finishing early so I thought I may take him to the play place this afternoon as a special treat :0)
SO here I am trying to be a good blogger and give you something to look at every (ish) day...

I have used the lovely Baroque Motifs set which I finally got this month after having my eye on it for a very long time, and I have to say I am sooo glad I did get it and also that it isn't retiring (yay) so that means it will be in the lovely *new* catalogue very soon... hope you are as excited as I am??
Onto the deets... Perfect Plum card stock and ink for the main swirl which is stamped onto the very lovely Vellum Card stock, Pale Plum for the little flowers and also the shrink plastic charm, Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Linen thread through the charm. Martha Stewart Border punch.
Side view to show the vellum is loose on the front, I can see many uses for this set, great for weddings, anniversaries {both for men and women just using different colours}, Simple thank-yous and birthdays too, oooh the list goes on... I will have some more of a play and share with you soon, Thanks for popping by,
Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

SWU Colour Challenge

Morning all,
I do hope you all had a lovely weekend, back to school this morning for the kiddies, Zack is in 'till 11.30 for the next couple of days (that's O.K. it's just like pre-school) staying for lunch on thurs and fri, then next week all day (aaaarrrrggghhh!!!) anyway, I'll try to be brave ;0)
I did get a little time to play yesterday, so I was doing a bit of looking around for inspiration and decided to use the Stamp With Us colour challenge, now this was their photo....

Right, it's lovely yes? but the card I made with these colours, well, I think it turned out O.K. but it is one of those cards where the idea I had in my head ...well lets just say it wasn't really like this...

BUT I am happy with the stamps still (Good friend again) and love the colours too, it's just not how I imagined it to be...

Colours used were Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Only Orange and Gable Green for the flowers, Sentiment from One of a Kind. Ribbon is Certainly Celery (5/8") and Whisper White (1/4")

I even stamped a little on the inside

Here is the arty angle.
Right I'm off for a cuppa, let me know what you think of this one would you?
Have a good day
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
