Dad's Birthday

Hello there,
A few days ago it was Neils Dad's birthday and so here is the card I made for him, now it is very different from the usual sort of card I make so please be honest and tell me truthfully what you think??? I mean I liked it but it I think it is just so different.. I used a base of Soft Suede and teamed it with Brocade Blue,

Birthday was stamped with the Just Perfect Alpha and punched with the Jewelery Punch I threaded it with Linen Thread which was then wrapped around Silver Brads, base stamped with the lovely Medallion stamp,
across the bottom I stamped some Twill Tape with the little flourish from Tiny Tags in matching inks, I then sponged the tape with Soft Suede to "dirty" it up a bit, finishing it with staples,
I decorated it inside too :-)

and the arty angle where you can see I have left the tags loose so you get some movement with them,

Thanks for stopping by today, Hoping your school holidays are going well ;-)

Pink Passion Milk Carton

Hello,
Bit of a quick post from me today, I made this for my sister the other day to give to her friend filled with choccies for her birthday, as the title says this one is made with Pink Passion card with Tempting Turquoise mat and tab,

background is made with the Good Friend stamp set, one I haven't used for a long time, I had forgotten how much I like it. Mini paper clip on the tab from the Clips Assortment tied with Satin Ribbon and Silver Cord,

and a quick close up of the image, I know it is a retired SAB set but it is just so perfect, Well done if you managed get your hands on a set :-) Love the little Tiny Tag Punch (mini catty) for sentiments,

I coloured the cake with blender pens and a mixture of ink pads and marker pens, If you would like to learn how then why not come to one of my monthly classes or even host a workshop? email me for more details or to place an order sarah-janerae@sky.com
Thanks for looking today,

Happy Birthday Elaine

Hello,
The other day was my dear friend Elaine's birthday, now as with most of my friends we often (but not often enough) enjoy a cuppa and a chat so I went with the cuppa theme using my new favourite set All for Friends, LOVE it! and it's a free one too! email me for details :-)
Anyway, here we go....
Colours used were Soft Suede (new colour) and Pretty in Pink,
I used the level 3 set Queue Up to make the background and then coloured some of the mugs using the Versamark pen, so handy,
I ruffled the spotty ribbon using dst,
and I coloured the mugs in the circle using ink pads and a blender pen, I actually decided to colour and cut out another layer of cups this morning before sending it to her, it just lifted it a bit more I think. I also for some reason didn't photograph the inside which I had also decorated, not sure why?? but it did match ;-)
For one of her gifts I got her a bracelet so decided to make a small pizza box to put it in, it was about 3" square and 1" deep just so you can get an idea of the size,

On the box I coloured a few bits with the white gel pen for a slightly different take,
So , I hope you like today's card and box, pop back tomorrow for another milk carton, (my fave box, I know!)

Milk Carton in Cameo Coral

Good Morning,
Super quick post from me today. My sister needed a box to put some choccies in for her friends birthday, well actually she needed two but I will share the other one with you later in the week, but anyway, I made this one in Cameo Coral and teamed it with Old Olive for a change, I love how these colours work together :-)

Sentiment is retired but the candle is from On a Pedestal. Tab punch used to close with a paper clip from the Clip Assortment which I tied with striped grosgrain ribbon in Old Olive and Linen Thread,

Pattern around the outside is made using True Friend stamp set in Coral Ink and a little close up of the sentiment panel,
So, that's it for today,
Thanks ever so for stopping by,

Good Morning to you all,
Welcome to the first lay in of the holidays... well the first one without the school run anyway!
I have scheduled this post so I will probably be still in my jarmies when this publishes ;-) well, here's hoping anyway!
So onto the crafty stuff!
I have a picture today of the bath bombs I made for the teachers as part of their gifts, I gave one to each of the teachers and also the assistants, they might need a nice relaxing bath after all the stress of working with kids all year ;-)

I put four of the bombs in SU! large cello bags then simply a
made a matching tag tying them on with ribbon, unfortunately ran out after four so had to use cello for the last two, a bit more fiddly but I used this to my advantage and tied with different colour ribbon and made those two the ones for the actual teachers, good plan eh?!

And here they are all together, In the end I put each set in a paper bag and added a matching tag, it was late when I made these so didn't get a piccie unfortunately. Apple is fromTart and Tangy stamped in versamark and For You is from One of a Kind
So that's all for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Teacher Tastic!

Good Morning,
I have a class starting at 12 today, it will be my third one for this month! I have just finished tidying and mopping, just got to lay the table now for the ladies, if you would like to join us next month for some paper, fun and friendship then please email me for more info.
So onto today's projects, and I have to warn you this is a picture heavy post! so I would grab a cuppa now ;-)
I made 2 different designs using the same sets and colourways, the wine is for the teacher and the paperclip bookmark is for the teachers assistants (2 of them in each class) I have also decorated another gift but I think I will save that for tomorrow!
For this one I stamped the apple from Tart and Tangy using versamark and then inked the special apple using my markers, sentiment is Tiny Tags, For You is from Basic Phrases,
This set uses Basic Grey instead of Versa and more of the lovely gingham ribbon with Linen Thread, Sincere Salutations makes another welcome appearance too,
I have added a close up of this apple just to show the background. I inked and stamped all my Thank-You stamps from lots of different sets in co-ordinating colours to make a block before punching out with the scallop circle punch,

and a quick close up of the bookmarks, they have Real Red layer one side and Always Artichoke the other,

and the all together shot to finish, phew!!!
I hope you are still with me! Thanks for stopping by today,
Quick update on the building- Velux are going in today and windows in at the weekend! yay! then next week they are starting on the inside, so it looks like I will be going out quite a lot next week!! I will try really hard to keep posting here but the next couple of weeks are probably going to be hit and miss even as to whether I can get to my crafty stuff (I had better be able to do something or I will go a bit crazy(er) I think!)
Don't forget my special offer for this month only, see top of blog for more details
Have a great day,
Hugs,

Another Graduation Card

Hello,
I was asked to make a Graduation card for a girl again this week, the hard part was that it was for the same girl as before! eek! Isn't that the hardest?? making more than 1 card for the same person is just the toughest. Anyway after looking round for some inspiration I found a template to make this Mortar Board card, I have changed it around a bit to suit what stamps I had and used a Rich Razzleberry colour scheme but all the measurements are the same,
Sentiment is from Live Your Dream, I thought it was very appropriate for graduation, glasses are from New Years Celebration which I coloured using a blender pen and Champagne Shimmer paint, I die cut a photo turn to keep the card closed and a simple Congratulations is inside,
and just a side view for you, Isn't the ribbon tassel great? I just unpicked and frayed some spotty Razzleberry Ribbon,

Well that's today's card for you, I have Zack's sports day this afternoon but I will be back tomorrow with Teachers cards and gifts before I go to Zoe's sports day,
Thanks for stopping by,

Birthday cake anyone?

Good Morning,
I have scheduled this post as this morning I have a lovely class of ladies starting at 10am. If you would like to come to next month please email me for directions or information,
But, right now, onto today's card. This was made for one of my SU! side lines birthdays, otherwise known as SU! sisters ;-)
Colours used were Choc Chip, Regal Rose and a touch of Pumpkin Pie in the DSP. I still adore this retired paper pack, Sweet Always. I almost don't want to use it up. Well, I did say almost!
The lovely cake is from the level 2 set from the current mini catalogue called All for Friends, if you would like to know how you can earn it for FREE then again, please contact me for details,
sarah-janerae@sky.com
I coloured the cake using my ink pads and blender pens but I also think it would be fab paper pieced,

I stamped the cherry from On a Pedestal using Versamark all over the "window"
Circle punched out using the 1+3/4" punch, and I also used the scallop edge punch along the bottom, jazzed up with a white gel pen.
Super soft Choc Chip satin ribbon tied around this layer finishes the outside, well, I mean... what's a card without ribbon eh??

And finally a little finishing inside. Sentiments inside and on the front are both from SAB sets and are no longer available unfortunately. They were inked using Marker Pens, great for two colours (or more) on 1 stamp, the same with the candle which is also from On a Pedestal.

Don't forget my special offer on until the end of July, please see top post for details.
Well, that's all for today, I have another graduation card to share with you tomorrow but for now, thanks for visiting and have a lovely rest of your day,

A different take on Love you Much

Hello,
I have scheduled today's post as hopefully they will be here today to start the roof tiles, goody goody!
I have made this card using the set love you Much which is a valentines/lovey sort of a set but I am hopeful it works as a birthday card too??
I used the lovely Melon Mambo with Basic Black for this one,
Happy Birthday is from a retired sab set teamed with a filigree brad and punched out with the word window, DSP is the limited Night and Day, only available 'till end of Sept,
I paper pieced the two birds after inking them up (avoiding the heart which is normally between them), as you can see I paper pieced them but you may be wondering which Designer Paper I used?? None! I used the Dot Dot Dot stamp with Melon Ink and paper pieced using this, I love the effect,

Gorgeous Melon Mambo spotty ribbon finishes it off nicely I think,
inside piccie ;-) sentiment from A Bit of Birthday Cheer,

Well, that's all for today, I hope you have a fab day whatever you are up to.
If you want to order any Stampin' Up! products please do email me for more info, I also have a fab offer on 'till the end of July, please see top post for more info. This is an offer just from me, not SU!
Thanks for stopping by,
