Rest of Josh's Birthday and last chance to Sale-a-Brate!

Good Morning Ladies and Gents :-)
I hope this post finds you well, I had a lovely day yesterday with lots of funny and gorgeous SU! demonstrators, waves to all!! more about that later tho, for now I am going to share a few of the other things I made for Josh's birthday sleepover Friday night, although I think they may have stayed up a little late?? ;-) lol.
So first of all we had to invite the boys around so I made {very} simple invites up on the computer and matted them onto Pacific Point and Real Red card stock, I coloured the writing with SU! markers in Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red,
and what sort of party would it be without cake eh?? so I made a Chocolate Roulade with fresh cream filling and white chocolate drizzle, yummy!
and finally for this party I made little chocolaty goody bags for the boys to take home,
Now, back to Sale-a-Bration, Just a reminder really that if you are interested in joining Stampin' Up! then now is a great time to join as just until Monday the brilliant offer for a FREE extra stamp set of any value--your choice from the catalogue--is available on top of the already great value starter kit, email me for a chat.
I have so much to share with my team even more so now as I have just spent a great day at the regional training today ;-) more on that tomorrow...

and if you love the SAB stamps then again you again only have until Monday to place your qualifying orders {The Sale-a-Bration free stamp sets will not be available after Monday} including for this great little guy and don't forget his matching punch is coming in the mini catalogue in April... along with lots of lovely other goodies ;-)

Happy Birthday to Josh!

It's my big boys birthday today!!! Our Josh is 14, OMG! I don't feel old enough to have a 14 year old son, some reckon I look it though, ha ha! ;-) Anyways, as you can see I decide to go with a colour combo of Real Red, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake, for his card and Milk Carton (filled with Jazzie chocolates)

I have used Party This Way for the bunting with Just Perfect Alphabet, buttons are from the Regals pack and it was all threaded onto silver cord,

Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Level 1 FREE hostess set Afterthoughts,
Inside with a couple of candles and a touch of paper to finish,
and the matching Milk Carton a little closer, HERE is a little tutorial for the carton :-D

Well today I am off to SU! training (on my boys b.day too!) however he had 3 friends on a sleepover last night, family coming round later this afternoon and birthday tea on Monday with some other friends too! So I was doing a lot of baking on Friday, I will share the 3 (yes, 3!) lots of cakes later in the week along with my swaps for today.
There is lots to show you this week, be sure to keep checking back :-)
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing and a big Happy Birthday to Josh!

More Sick Peeps!

Hello,
You may have noticed I had a day off of blogging yesterday and that's because it was my birthday! So, first of all I would like to say a massive THANK-YOU to all the kind and thoughtful ladies who sent me a card or Birthday greeting, it really made my day and I will take some photos of the gorgeous cards I received to share them with you over the next few days :-)

But today I have had to make another card for another SU! sister who is poorly, I hope you are on the mend Sharon xx As I had new found love with A Flower for all Seasons stamp set I used another of the images for Sharon's card..

Wild Wasabi base with So Saffron DSP from the subtles stack (see page 91 of the current IB&C for details) I layered it up again and added crystal effects to the little frog ;-) {ribbon is retired} image was coloured with blender pens and ink pads.

Sentiment is again from Fun and Fast Notes, punched with the Word Window and layered on top of the Modern Label punch,

So, a quick post from me today, it is Josh's birthday on Saturday but he is having 3 friends round for a sleepover tonight! One night I will not be too bothered about going to work, avoiding the DVD/X Box fest and probably being generally uncool! ;-)

I also have training with SU! on Saturday, one of the many great events we get to go to with this fab company! If you would like to know more about joining SU! then drop me a line and we can have a chat, don't forget this is the last few days of SAB, last chance to get your hands on FREE stamps when you purchase and FREE stamps when you sign up too! email me now with your order/questions!
Thanks again for my Birthday Wishes,

Get Well Soon

Hello there,
A little late today, we have been enjoying the kids this week and been out the last couple of days and today's is Hubby's birthday :-) busy busy!
But I have made a couple of little cards... One of my SU! sidelines had to have an operation this week and so we all sent her a card to cheer her up, O.K. so mine will be there when she gets home, but it will be there! encouraged by my friend and down line Mandi I have tried really hard to do the Less is More challenge this week, their theme is spring so I finally mounted up my Flower for all Seasons stamps, gosh I am in love! such a cute set to colour, why, oh why haven't I used them sooner??!

Sentiment is from Fun and Fast Notes, image coloured with blender pens and ink pads, paper piercer and mat pack also used, Card base is Daffodil Delight with Wild Wasabi DSP, can you see the dab of crystal effects I used on the little lady bird?

and just a little detail inside ;-)

Well, that's all for today, I am off to take Zoe dancing and then onto work, have a great evening,

Golden Wedding with a Boxelope Mini Tutorial

**EDIT on 12/06/2105 to say: I HAVE NOW MADE A VIDEO TUTORIAL - WHICH CAN BE FOUND HERE - USING THE DIAGONAL SCORE PLATE AND ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD MAKING THIS BOXELOPE EVEN EASIER TO MAKE**
Good Evening,
I love it when you make projects using my tutorials but please be sure to link back here and give credit when you make and post to your blog.
Thank-you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy this tutorial xx
I have made a newer version of this tutorial and posted about it  HERE, I think it explains it a little better than I have here, I hope you enjoy :-)
I have another long post for you with another little tutorial, I am not sure if it will be of any use to anybody but as I was making the box/envelope I thought I would take pictures just in case ;-)
So, I was asked to make the Golden Wedding card for a friend and I liked the 3d of the flowers from Vintage Vogue I made for this card a while ago, I don't mind admitting I used Vintage Vogue so much for a while there I got a bit sick of it! But after a little break I have really enjoyed playing with it again this week :-D

I stamped 9 of the flowers in So Saffron cutting and layering them to make this 3d flower, tucking in some Very Vanilla satin ribbon in to make "leaves"
A close up of the small hearts with Basic Pearl centres and the inside,

Now to make a deep box/envelope using only 1 sheet of 12x12 card. I hope you can see I lightly marked the card at 6" on each side then I laid the card on top so the corners of the card were in line with the pencil marks. Mark where they sit and then join these up diagonally...
Cut the small triangles in the centre of each side as shown here, erasing the pencil lines at this point.
Score lines parallel to the centre square at a depth to suit your card, I did them at 1" here.
Glue 3 of the 'flaps' to make the box and there you have it, ready for your 3D card. I would like to finish this off by tying this closed with a little more Satin ribbon but I don't know if it will be posted yet :-)

Well, I hope you like the card and this little tutorial is helpful to someone out there, let me know if you have a go ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today,

Mojo for Hubby

Hello!
I have made Hubby's birthday card already so he has been banned from looking at my blog until after Wednesday (not that he does as far as I know??!) I have used this weeks Mojo sketch #178 even though we are nearly at next weeks sketch ;-) anyways, here is what I made using the gorgeous stamp set Engraved Greetings, a great set for boys and girls...
DSP is Newspaper prints, card base is textured Basic Black card stock with a Cherry Cobbler circle, I have also used some of the yummy wide striped ribbon, the Distressing Tool and Crystal Effects.

Inside I added another (retired) star brad,
and as it is his birthday I made him a matching milk carton and filled it with white chocolate jazzies, now I really hope he doesn't read this!!

and finally a close up(ish) of the Milk Carton,
A tutorial for making this A4 size carton is HERE

Well, that's today's card for you, I hope you have a lovely Sunday whatever you are up to,

Even More Punch Bunch!

So, in case you hadn't noticed, I LOVE the Punch Bunch stamp set!! If you only get one free set from the Sale-a-Bration promotion then I would heartily recommend this one ;-)
I have made a quick card for a man, in fact I made this originally for last class but decided to "step it up" a little but, seeing as I still liked this one too though I thought I would quickly share it with you today, it is a great quick make I think...
Paper is Nursery Suite again and I think the addition of staples is always a great detail without being too girly,
Well, I told you it was a quick one today, I will be back tomorrow with card I have made for hubby's birthday which is on Wednesday, get me, not a last minute panic this year...well for the card anyway, I still have to wrap his presents yet!
Thanks for visiting today,

Valentines Gifts

Hello there,
We don't really do valentines in our house usually, there are just too many birthdays in February! But having said that I had a class on Monday which was as you know actually Valentines Day so I couldn't let it pass when I have ladies coming round ;-)
I bought some inexpensive small choc bars from the supermarket and covered them in some retired DSP for the bottom layer with more Nursery Suite around the middle with a little topper using modern label, word window and mini heart punches,
xoxoxo is from basic phrases, I really must use this set more, it's yummy!
I topped off the heart with a basic pearl and here some of them are together,
I gave one each to the lovely ladies who came to class and popped one into hubby's and the two little ones lunch boxes, I decided not to put one in Josh's lunch box (he is 14 this week, thought the other boys may take the mickey??) so I left his by the side of his bed.
My family all said they loved them and won't throw the paper way "cause it was pretty" :-) bless 'em!
So that's all today, I have to take a piccie of the last card from this months class as I just realised I haven't photographed it at all and therefore nor blogged it either! doh!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Punch Bunch for a Baby

Good Morning to you today,
and I hope the sun is finally shining with you too! it is here thankfully, I am sooo sick of the wet! Today I have a baby card to share with you which is completely inspired by one the lovely Elizabeth made HERE which she says was inspire by another demo, (linked on Elizabeth's blog ;-)) so thanks for your inspiration lades x
Back to my version of it tho now...
So saffron base with Certainly Celery ribbon (retired) with the background made using little images from the So Happy For You stamp set,
this gorgeous little tag shaped mobile is from Punch Bunch {which is only available for another 2 weeks!} and some 3mm taffeta ribbon in Old Olive, I love this thin ribbon, sentiment is also from So Happy For You set,
and a few buttons, these are from the Subtles and Neutrals pots, that reminds me... must add some to this months order, I have nearly run out of the subtles ones, eek!

So, do you want the Punch Bunch stamps? or indeed the So Happy For You ones?? to re-create this card and earn ONE of these sets you could perhaps purchase-- Subtles buttons, Subtles stampin' spots, subtles mixed card pack and the large tag punch. That would give you a total of £47.20 (before post) and then you could get the stamp set of your choice from the SAB brochure for FREE!
This is of course just a suggestion and you can order any products in the current catalogue up to the value of £45 to receive your free stamps.
I hope I have helped with your decisions and look forward to hearing from you soon,
Thanks for stopping by today,
Stampin' hugs,
