Simply Stampin' Challenges, Week 5 already :-)

Good Morning to you!
Well, did you see the most wonderful Wedding?? Wasn't it the most beautiful day, the dress, the kiss, the happy couple! I wish the both of them a lifetime of happiness :-)
So, back to business, I am here today with my DT card for this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge Blog, if you have come from there then Welcome, if not, then do drop by and see what we are all about and why not give the challenge a go? This week is a colour challenge, Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke and Basic Grey.
Now, going briefly back to weddings, I have made this card for my Hubby as it is our 15th Wedding Anniversary on Monday {2nd May}. Gee, that time has gone sooo quickly (mostly! he he!).
I have done lots of distressing on this card and used I {Heart} Hearts and Broadsheet Alphabet stamps,
I Stitched roughly around the edges of the Grey layer after distressing the edges and added a little embossed Square Lattice piece poking out from the torn corner,
L, V and E is from Broadsheet with a punched, stamped and embossed "o",
And a little look inside (before I write in it ;-))

Well, that's it for today, I will be back tomorrow with more to share with you.
Please do have a go at our challenge this week if you get a chance,

Gift Card holder

Hello,
I have scheduled this post as I am going to be up and watching the Wedding. I am getting really excited actually, which I didn't think I would but here I am  ;-)
Anyway I have a gift card holder to show you today. Oooh, and it would be perfect for giving a wedding gift card in too! lol! I used the SU! exclusive Top Note Die and the super cute Owl Punch to make this,
Decorated using the subtles DSP Stack and the very pretty flower brads to hinge it at the top,
Swung open to show the (club) card, it might be better if you changed this for a gift card before giving it as a gift ;-) ha ha!
and of course the sentiment, this one is from Just Believe and punched with the Word Window and Modern Label punches,
Well that's it for today, I will be back tomorrow with a very different card for you, enjoy the Wedding if you are watching :-D
Thanks for dropping by,

Harrison is 7!

Good Morning!
Last day and then 4 more off then, are you looking forward to and/or doing anything special for the Royal Wedding? We are hoping to do something, although we are still undecided exactly what, as of yet.
Anyway, today I have Harrison's birthday card and matching milk carton to show you, his birthday was last week but his party was just yesterday and I was running a little late so I only made this yesterday lunch time ;-)
The colour combo is Basic Grey and Pacific Point but the stamp set I have used is retired, there is however a similar football set on page 41 of the current catalogue. Harrison is football mad so this card set was the perfect choice for him,
The boots on both the card and box are hanging from crochet thread,
Inside the card,
and the matching carton which I would have filled with choccy footballs had I been a tad earlier in the making of it- instead it had mini eggs, he didn't mind though :-)
Well, short and sweet from me today, I am entering this card in the "Less is More" challenge this week which is off centre,
Thanks for stopping by today, if there is any Stampin' Up! products that you have seen today and "need" then please don't hesitate to get in touch ;-)

Rose Water Cupcakes and Class News

Good Morning to you,
I am going to start by saying a huge thanks to the ladies who made it to class this month, I had a lovely time and I hope you all did too :-) As you know I always provide cakes at class, sometimes they are courtesy of Mr Kipling and sometimes I manage to make them myself. This month I made Rose Water cupcakes, now I have made these a few times before, usually in the summer and then I top them with a sugar coated rose petal, very pretty. Unfortunately there are no roses out in our garden yet so I decided to make little toppers using the Baby Blossoms stamp set,
I punched out Marina Mist scalloped circles and glued a cocktail stick in between,
and a close up of the little stamped roses,
Now, before I go I have some exciting news about my classes, I have unfortunately had to increase my price to £10 per class starting next month, however, in future all standard price classes (the £10 ones only) will be FREE with an order of £35 or more placed at class! How cool is that??!!
See side bar for details of my classes I have planned and keep an eye out for more to be added regularly too!
So, if you would like to join us at next months class(/cakes) then please email me for more details. I run the same class 3 times in a month so there should hopefully be a day to suit everyone, if not, then again please message me with any requests or questions :-)
I really hope you can join me here soon.

April Class

Hello!
Happy Easter Monday! How was your Easter Sunday? It was a lovely hot day here and we had a BBQ with my Mum and Hubby's Dad, it's so lovely to be able to eat outside isn't it?? my favourite bit of the summer :-)
Well, this Bank Holiday Monday I had the first of this months classes, and it was great! the projects we made went down well and so did the Rose Water cupcakes! Yum!
So, here is what we made, a card, a bookmark and my favourite- the mini milk carton (surprise!)
I started the card by looking through the mini catalogue and was inspired by one on page 6, I think it turned out quite different though..
much more vintagey with the Glass Glitter for the flower centre, this glitter ages as it sits on your project giving you a tarnished look,
Sentiment is from Artistic Etchings with the Seam Binding having had a thread pulled from the middle to get the ruffle,
Then we had to use the Owl Punch so we made a bookmark inspired by some Julie made,
Love the owl punch with seam binding ribbon around the bottom of the mark,

and finally the mini milk carton, it is similar to the one I made for my Jems swap,
Well, that's today's projects for you, If you would like to come to next months class then please get in touch, we will be making a little brag book and card for Fathers Day. I have some exciting news regarding classes, more details tomorrow once I have told my regular ladies, there's another good reason to come... you get to find out all the details first!
Thanks for stopping by today,

A Sketch to Follow

Good Morning to you,
If you have come over here from Simply Stampin Challenges then Welcome! You will know also we have a brilliant sketch to follow, if not then pop over and see what the rest of the DT have made and why not give it a go? This is also the last week to enter for the Prize up for grabs :-)
O.K. this is what I have made to fit the sketch this week, I have changed it up a bit tho ;-)
Card base is crumb cake with real red and night of navy, stamp sets used were Engraved Greetings and Circle Circus, I have re-discovered my love for this set of late especially for men's cards ;-) Sentiment was inked with markers to get the three colours on the image and I stamped the H and B twice to layer them,
Paper Piercing, Square Lattice Embossing folder with the Big Shot and sewing machine also used again, and the Navy button? that's one of the new Big Buttons from the Mini catty ;-)
I even sewed a bit inside to finish
Well, this was made for a friends Dad and she loved it, I just hope he does too!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join in with this weeks challenge. Don't forget this is the last chance to win for a while!!

Thinking of You

Good Morning to you all,
I hope you are all enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having at the moment? I am not sure what we will be doing this morning, but I do have to go into work this afternoon for more training so that really doesn't help with school holiday fun let me tell you! booo! ;-)
Anyway, I know I promised you a sneak at this months class but I just haven't had time to photograph the projects yet, so I will share with you a card I made a while ago but haven't gotten a chance to blog 'till now. It was for my Dad (in law) to let him know we were thinking of them both on the day it would have been Mum (in laws) birthday.
Pear Pizzazz base with Elegant Soiree papers, Stamp set is A Flower For All Seasons which I watercolured using blender pens and ink pads, I punched it our with the 1+3/4" circle punch and backed it with the Fancy Flower XL punch out which I also embossed with the square lattice folder, phew!
and a touch of Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding ribbon topped with a springtime big button to finish,
Well, that's it for today, I have been asked to show how to make the bags from yesterday so I will try to get a little tutorial done in the next few days too,
Have fun in the sun! but don't forget your factor 50 ;-) lol!

Happy Easter!

Hello there,
As promised I have the last of the Easter Treats for you today, I decided to make little goodie bags up for our friends kids this year rather than buy them an egg, I popped a choccy bunny in a cellophane bag with a few little treats too, I had 16 to make all together ;-)
I added a sentiment from the Level 1 stamp set Afterthoughts and punched it out with the new Decorative Label punch,
I made a background for the mini bottle of bubbles using the lovely Four Frames stamp set from the New mini catalogue punched out using the same punch which matches this stamp set perfectly. I did the kids initials using the (beautiful) broadsheet alphabet which I then cut out by hand,
Well, that's it for today short and sweet, I hope you have enjoyed the Easter ideas this week but do remember to come back tomorrow for this months Class Sneak Peeks, last couple of spaces left, message me today to reserve your place!

Easter Mini Bags

Good Morning to you!
I hope you are all enjoying/have enjoyed the Easter holidays, I know the school holidays are different all around this year!
Mine have got eye tests this morning though so I will be getting a shifty on soon but first up though I have another treat bag for the Easter hunt. The original idea for this bag is not mine, infact it was a swap at convention but there was no name on the bag I have, if it was your swap then please message me and I will happily give credit where it is due :-) As you can see I loved the idea!
I made my bags using the "In Colours" Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz with Choc Chip toppers for Josh and Zack and Blushing Bride with Crumb Cake for Zoe
I made the boys one's like a satchel (not that they would know what one is I don't think!)
with the opening at the back..
and Zoe's more like a handbag
with her opening at the front
and inside the bags???
and finally all together looking pritty ;-)
So, would you like to know how to make one of these little beauties? or another idea here on my blog? Well, why not schedule a workshop with me and let me know what project/ technique you wish to see and we can arrange a date for me to show you!
Thanks for stopping by today, I will be back tomorrow with the last of the Easter Hunt goodies and then the rest of the week I will be sharing class sneak peeks, I have a place or two left this month on Monday or Tuesday, message me if you want to come :-)
Thanks for sticking with me today, I know it was a little picture heavy,
