A Different Take

Hello there,
Today I have a different version of the Mothers Day class 3d frame.
This one I have made for my Zoe and you could make something similar if you don't want to make the Mother's Day Version, but remember, Thursday is the last day to book in for this class :-)
This colour combo for Zoe's frame is Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo with White as the neutral. I used this colour combo as it matches her bedroom.
Message me if you would like to come along and join us for this class

Quick card to share

Hello!
I am a bad blogger so I have a really quick post before I go to work tonight, making a really super quick but effective card
I used the fab Outlined Occasions (Sale-a-Bration freebie set) on Melon mambo card, heat embossed in Silver
I actually made these before I did hubby's the other day, just sharing this way round :-)
So, I coloured the wording in using the Versamark pen again, love this look
and a little bit of spotted scalloped ribbon to finish it off
O.K. It really is a quick post tonight, message me if you would like to get a hold of these stamps for free on sarah-janerae@sky.com and we can have a chat :-)
Hugs from me tonight!

Josh is 15!!

OMG! How old do I feel???!!! Lol!
He doesn't want to do much (typical teen!) so we had brunch and then we are going to chill today I think?
So this was the card I made for him, nice and crisp I think with Black and Lucky Limeade. I did use my old faithful (but retired) Engraved Greetings, so perfect for male cards, which I stamped in Versamark and used White Embossing powder to make it pop on the Limeade
Borderlines was used across the bottom, stamped in Old Olive with a little button to decorate seeing as I am not allowed to use a big ribbon bow ;-)
and to match the card I purchased this large glass jar, filled it with sweets and decorated it using the star punch (also retired) and some matching ribbon
the top of the jar also had a little SU! love
Well, that's it for now. I'm off to tidy the bombsite I call my craft room :-)
Thanks for visiting today
Happy stampin'!

Happy Birthday Neil!

Hello there,
Yesterday was my lovely hubby's birthday, I was V-E-R-Y behind and hadn't even made his card but luckily (for me) he had to take his car to the garage and so I made this card for him yesterday morning! On the face of it it is a really quick and simple card, however it took me an absolute age to make, mostly because I had a complete mental freeze and couldn't think of any men's style cards to make! I am quite happy with the end result but anyway, here it is for you to judge...
I stamped the Outlined Occasions (Free SAB set) with versamark and heat embossed it with silver powder, once this was melted I coloured the letters in with a Versamark Pen, a great little tool every crafter should own ;-)
I used Not Quite Navy card with Basic Black, and made matching tags with more silver embossing powder tied onto some more of the lush wide striped grosgrain ribbon
the inside was finished with the matching sentiment from Outlined occasions, I love this font!
Well, I am off out today, don't know where yet hubs is surprising me (I hope!)
Thanks for visiting today

Another Challenge!

O.K. I have been trying to upload this post since late Monday night, Blogger and IE apparently are not friends right now?! But here we are finally ;-)
Another day, another challenge, that two this week and yes, I know! Challenges are like buses at this here blog but when I saw Mandi and Chrissies challenge this week over at LIM was Punches and/or Die cuts I couldn't resist joining in. As you know though I am generally a more is more kinda girl so please, if this is not CAS enough, do feel free to discount it from the challenge :-)
To begin though I must show you the inspiration for the colour combo of Rich Razzleberry and Wisteria Wonder (I also added Sahara Sand as the Neutral) regular readers  may know I was at Gunwharf Quays the other day and when I was there I spotted this stack of towels in a display area. Crazy lady that I am I stood and took a photo of said display (see Zoe waiting patiently too in the reflection, as well as a gawping me, pritty, not!)
and this is the end result of afore mentioned inspiration
Lots of Itty Bitty Punches, DSP flowers and Rhinestones with the fab new 'Borderlines' flower stems to sit on top of (Borderlines can be seen on page 13 of the MINI catalogue)
Now, you can't really see on the top two pics but I also gave this a generous helping of shimmer mist (shimmer paint mixed with Alcohol) so this photo under artificial light (hopefully) shows the sparkle a little more
Well, that today's card, I am off out today with the girls so I really hope this post goes up on time?? I will like it onto the LIM blog later
Thanks for looking and I really hope this is OK for the challenge
Stampin' Hugs for today,

Extra cards from all day class

Good Morning to you,
I have a couple of cards to share today, these were the extra cards we made at last weeks all day event, I saw this one on Pinterest and really wanted to make a version of it using Elelmentary Elegance, this is what I came up with
Silver embossing powder is the hero of these little cards
some ruffled ribbon
and a clean and simple style card
with a ruffled ribbon rose sat in the silver frame again, loving this look :-)
Right, well that's all from me today, I'm off out to get a few little bits for Josh's birthday next weekend, then home to make him and Neil a card today hopefully too!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Prize Patrol

Hello!
I did actually have thi scheduled for an earlier time today, doh blogger! Anyway, 'tis lovely here today, might even get outside... perhaps not, think I might play in my craft room instead ;-)
So, I have some more bits from my all day class today, I did a couple of prize patrols during the day and I gave away these little jars from IKEA which were filled with ribbon :-)
I used the new 2+3/8" scallop circle punch River Rock card and Spice Cake DSP to decorate the fronts with the retired stamp set Basic Phrases
These lovely flowers are from the Blossom Party Die from the mini catalogue with a ruffled ribbon rose in the middle (still loving these!) Tutorial HERE for making them :-)

A More Modern Take

Hello there blog friends!
Apologies for the lack of a post yesterday, it was not for the lack of projects to post, more because we spent a lovely day out together at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We went up the tower and even braved walking on the glass floor too :-)
Here we are sat in the cafe which is on the second level

So, I do have a card to share today, this one uses Fresh Vintage but I wanted to give it a more modern twist so I changed up the colours using the colour coach for inspiration. I also based this card on the Mojo Monday sketch, it's been a long time since I seem to have had time to join in any challenges...
Loving the Melon Mambo wide striped grosgrain ribbon, perfect for tying lush bows
I inked the flower using my markers for this effect, I will be starting a marker share soon, message me if you would like to join :-) and a strip of pretty rhinestones add just enough bling
to decorate inside I huffed on my stamp again, without re-inking it, and stamped on the insert to give this paler version of the front flower
Well, that's me for today, I'm off to enjoy this Saturday with the kids, think we might go to the forest for a bit with the dog?? Have a lovely day whatever you are up to and thank-you for visiting me

Laura's Brag Book

Good morning,
To share with you today I have the brag book the lovely Laura designed for the All Day class. We were going to get together and run this day but unfortunately we ended up doing the same class in different locations :-)
So this is the beautiful book Laura designed, I added a little 3d flower on the front using the new Blossom Party die and a ruffled ribbon rose (tutorial here) it does look pretty but it did make photographing this book a little more hmmm, lets say, tricky! The bag base is stamped using Spiced Paisley in craft white ink
and when you open it up there are two pockets inside
which open out, I have left mine blank for now....
As you can see I did mine in colours to match the Spice Cake DSP as this was the theme for the day, I stamped the flower from Fresh Vintage onto the pages for a little decoration ;-)
and a side view to finish
Wow! I do love this little book, please do visit Lauras blog for lots more fab ideas, I'm sure she will share her version of this cute book soon too :-)
Stampin' Hugs for today,
