A Cookie Cutter Reindeer with the Cable Knit Folder by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
And welcome to another Cookie Cutter Christmas card. I shared an early view of this card on Instagram last week and it got a lot of love over there. I was really pleased with how this card turned out but what do you think??
Here are my Top Tips for this card with this super adorable reindeer ;-)
TOP TIP #1: Stamp him in basic black onto crumb cake card.
TOP TIP #2 : I coloured him in using a blender pen and ink pads. First I coloured the face in crumb cake then added shading with tip top taupe. Then I coloured his antlers using chocolate chip then went back over them with tip top taupe. I used Real Red for his nose.
TOP TIP #3 : I like to punch him out using the matching punch but think that trimming around his antlers by hand just finishes him off perfectly.
TOP TIP #4 : Make your own envelopes for this size card (10.5cm x 10.5cm or 4.1" x 4.1")
TOP TIP #5 : If you don't have an envelope punch board to do that then be sure to pop back here on Saturday for some extra special offers running for just 5 days celebrating World Cardmaking Day.
I'm in love with the cable knit embossing folder! I used the Classic Label to punch the sentiment which is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.
A top-ish view of the fold. I really enjoyed making this card especially as I hadn't made one in this shape for years! My friend Amanda already made a fab tutorial for this square card HERE, just omit the strip going across for this version.
That's all for today but don't forget my Prize Draw for September with any order  ;-)
Thanks for looking!

Stepper Card and Home Made Envelope with Video Tutorial using Cookie Cutter Christmas

Hello!
I am kicking off today with the first of many cards I have made with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps and punch. I think its one of the most versatile sets in the A/W catalogue and today I want to share a cute little stepper card for you using just half a sheet of card. Now this is non-standard sized card so I've made it a mission to use up some of that (mountain) of retired DSP, that I know you all have too, and make more of my own envelopes!!
So, lets get started...
I added white card to the back panel, embossed with the brick folder, for an igloo effect. I'm just telling you here because nobody who came to class realised that's what it was supposed to be ;-)
This cute "cold hands" sentiment is in the set too.
And then the matching other part of the sentiment. I heat embossed both in silver.
TOP TIP: Stamp your sentiment and heat emboss first then stamp your background using Versamark for that paler effect. This is because Versamark stays wet for a l-o-n-g time, like even overnight long... Wonder how I know that?
So, how about a super quick video for making this card and the matching envelope? Okay...
And one last picture today to finish
So, I hope you liked today's card and video? I do hope you give it a go!

Back tomorrow but 'till then,

Using Merry Tags and Star Of Light by SU! to make a mini Christmas Tree Card

Hello!
I had a fantastically fun day yesterday at this months card class. We were using Cookie Cutter Christmas, a stamp set that the more I used it the more I loved it! I will share the pictures of the cards we made on here over the next week for you.
Anyway, today I have another card for you using the Merry Tags dies and today I have teamed it with the fantastic swirl from the Star of Light stamp set for the background, see...
I die cut the tree tag from crumb cake card and sponged it with a little white craft ink to highlight the tree before adding the solid garden green tag behind.
The tags dies are fab-u-lous on their own but you save 10% by purchasing as a bundle with the matching stamps so I've popped both links at the end of the post ;-)
This sentiment is also from the Star of Light stamp set, did you notice my little oops? ;-)
Lovely Fancy Frost sequins and Gold Bakers Twine add some bling.
And one final pic to finish today :-)
So, thank you for stopping by today and I do hope you've enjoyed today's card?
