Stitched All Around for a Birthday Card.

Hello there,
Today I have a super sweet card I made my friend for her birthday recently using the Stitched All Around stamps and dies in a Lovely Lipstick and Tranquil Tide colourway with a touch of Flirty Flaming, I love these colours together! Let's see shall we...
I started by inking the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo then added the Lovely Lipstick around the edges of it with a sponge dauber, before stamping, to create this two tone effect. Die cut with the matching dies from the bundle (love this stitched effect) and layered onto some Lipstick card treated with fab new corrugated embossing folder.
I die cut a couple of sets of leaves from the Foliage Frames dies from Tranquil Tide then Vellum card before adding an adorable Blossom Accent to the centre.
Stamp a couple of the vines down the side and that's it!
Well, my friend said she liked the card and I adore this colour combination, I'm sure it's one I'll keep coming back to. Remember when I used it for THIS CARD too? What do you think, is it a keeper?
Anyway, that's all from me for today, thanks so much for looking today, back soon with more!

Mrs Claus Winter Cheer using the Santa's Workshop Suite.

Hi there!
I'm back with another Christmas make today. Tis time I used the Mr Claus image from the Santa's Workshop DSP and teamed her with some cute spotty snowflakes, lets's see...
I also used some of the enamel shapes from this suite for a little sparkle!
As I did before (HERE) with Santa I die cut an extra Mrs Claus image from plain card (especially useful where it overhangs a smaller card layer, like here) and adhered it the the back of the DSP image to give it some extra oompfh ;-)
I love the whimsical style of this suite, don't you?
OK, that's all from me for today, I'll be back soon with another make.
'Till then, happy stamping!

Rainbow of Hearts using Little Elephant

Hello!
Todays make is another fun rainbow card. I used the super cute heart shaped hearts from the Little Elephant stamp set, see...
 Colours used were:
Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Lemon-Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point and Highland Heather.
I just grabbed a selection of ink pads that looked like they would coordinate well together, choosing more pastel colours rather than the primary that I used HERE.
Layered onto a Lemon-Lime Twist layer and finish with sequins (of course) and  a sentiment!
So, I hope you liked todays make? I'll be back tomorrow with another, hope to see you then!

Winter Woods in Gold

Hello there,
I have an elegant gold card using the new stamps and dies from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue called Winter Woods. Let me show you...
I stamped the solid tree using Versamark and heat embossed using gold powder then die cut the second tree and popped up the "branches" before using the versamark again to add ink to the raised tips before heat embossing again.
It's hard to see the popped up bits in a picture but it does give a real 3d feel to it.
TIP: I used thick white card for the die cut tree as it holds up a bit better for the pop out sections.
I kept the rest of the card fairly plain so as not to detract from the tree images!
OK, that's all from me for today, I'll be back tomorrow with another make :-)

Beautiful Blizzard for an Inspire. Create Challenge Sketch

Hello!
And welcome to this weeks Inspire.Create challenge. This week it's my favourite kind of challenge, a fabulous sketch, let's see...
I was looking at the background splodge shape in the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and I realised it would work as a heart shape for this sketch if I stamped it twice!
I then overstamped the heart with a layer of snowflakes in night of navy before adding a heat embossed sentiment.
TIP: Try to use an embossing buddy before heat embossing, it really does stop the bits from sticking where they aren't supposed to!
Layer the image at the sides, keeping it the same height as the card (as per the sketch) and finish with a few rhinestones.
So, that's my attempt at this weeks sketch! Why not join in the fun? It's great for kick starting your mojo! For much more inspiration head over to the Challenge Blog HERE and see what the rest of the DT have made :-)
Thanks so much for looking today!
