Card Candy

Hello,
Boo, it's Monday again!
Anyway, as I was unable to attend Julie's craft day this weekend I really wanted to join the Card Candy Swap after seeing the lovely makes at Convention this year. I also wanted to have a play with the treat cups as I haven't had a go with them for ages, and as the swap is called Card Candy I went with it literally! So I came up with this...

I went with the Love You Much stamp set, which probably explains why I have used it a few times this week again as I was reminded of how much I love it,
Here is the candy part and yes, I did colour co-ordinate the mini smarties! lol! me? OCD? I couldn't possibly comment!
Close ups of the individual toppers, I coloured this one with the marker pens then hand cut the pieces,
Colour combo is Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso,
Boho Blossoms, Modern Label and Word Window punches were just some of the punches I used,
3mm taffeta ribbon and wide striped grosgrain ribbons used with Basic Pearls,

Not the best picture here but I added lots of dimension to the toppers too ;-)

and finally here they are together, phew!
Julie said they went down well with just a small smartie spillage! I am now looking forward to receiving the 5 swaps in return, of course I will show you as soon as I get them.
Thanks for stopping by today, I have a couple of friends coming over for a crafting day today looking forward to that,
Have a great day whatever you are up to, Stampin' Hugs,

Another Rbbon Rose

Happy Sunday to you!
Just a little card for you today, I made this one for my friend Evelyn when she purchased an In Colour ribbon share from me last week, she mentioned she like the ribbon roses I made on this card so I made one for her to go with her ribbon :-)
Birds again are from Love You Much, paper pieced with Blush Blossom In Colour DSP with a Rose Red background,
rose is made from 1/2" stitched Poly ribbon in the beautiful Peach Parfait and finished with a Basic Rhinestone.
I hope you have a lovely rest of your Sunday, it is lovely and sunny here so we are going to tidy the front garden so we can get both the cars back on the drive, I'll be back tomorrow with some card candy to share with you,
Happy Stampin'

Sarah's Mojo Card with a tutorial making a Scalloped Edge Rosette.

Hello,
I love it when you make projects using my tutorials but please be sure to link back here and give credit when you make and post to your blog.
Thank-you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy this tutorial xx
**Small warning, long, picture heavy post, grab a drink now**
I was a really busy bee yesterday, I think I may have found some mojo, yay! Nothing like a list of cards that HAVE to be made and deadlines to have them made by to get you going ;-)
So, it is my very dear friend Sarah's birthday today *Happy Birthday Sarah xx* We went to the pub last night to do gifts and cards so she had it a day early, but at least I know I am safe to blog it! lol! I used this weeks Mojo sketch as a starter and went with the colours from this yummy paper, it is called Nursery Suite, and as you will see it is not just for babies, we will also be using this paper in next months class more on that soon, back to what I made for Sarah..

I am so pleased with how this one came out, even if I say so myself! Now, do you like this scalloped fan flower? Great! Because there is a mini tutorial a little further down!!
The main image is from Punch Bunch and the flower on the background of the front and inside below is called Sweet Summer these are both FREE Sale-a-Bration sets, if you need them then please message me for details,
Here is the arty angle and I think you will probably agree this is perhaps a card to send with a gift or hand deliver as it is quite thick, but I do love depth to my cards {in case you didn't notice!}

sentiment is Curly Cute, ribbon is retired and a bit of bling to finish in the way of Basic Rhinestones.
Mini Tutorial Time
First step is to scallop one edge of a sheet of 12x12 paper. Then measure from the top edge of the scallops to 1.5" and cut, I know this shows 2" but I trimmed it off again to be at 1.5" then promptly deleted the photo! doh! but you get the idea??
score at each dip of the scallop as shown, then use strong DST to overlap one scallop at the ends to form a circle, below,
Push flat to make your mini flower/medallion and add a punched image with quick drying and strong glue, Tombow is great for this.

and there you have it, a scalloped topper for your cards.
I hope you liked today's card and the tutorial was hopefully of help to some of you,
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend whatever you are up to,

Happy Anniversary

Hello there,
So did you get snow this morning?? We had a little flurry which bought a smile to our faces but that was all thank goodness ;-)
O.K. onto today's card. I have an Anniversary card today, made it using Love You Much in Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.
Lovely In Colour DSP flower made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and a gem brad through the centre,
I paper pieced the birds which you may have noticed is my favourite thing to do with these little ones? sentiment is from Cheer and Wishes and punched with the Modern Label Punch,

I stamped the background of the front and once inside with the large heart using Versamark and another little flower inside to finish it off,
and a little arty angle to finish,

So that's todays card, I have a long list of jobs to be getting on with today so I am going to have to dash off, back tomorrow :-D

and a few close-ups of the details on the box, the hearts are made with the Mini Heart Punch using Poppy Parade DSP
flower from the same paper made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and finished with a Basic Rhinestone,
and the sentiment is from the FREE Punch Bunch Sale-a-Bration set which fits perfectly in some Hodgepodge Harware,
Well Julie has received this so I am safe to show here, I hope you like today's project,

Elegant Birthdays

Hello there,
How's your day been? Sorry for the late posting but I ran my Just Believe class this morning, I am holding it again tomorrow too for some more lovely ladies :-)
On to today's card though now, I made a 6x6 square card using the Love Letter DSP in the Very Vanilla and Basic Black teamed with Cherry Cobbler (not just for Christmas you know, lol!)
Scrunched up flower made using the Fancy Flower XL punch with a Filigree Brad in the centre on top of the Grosgrain Ribbon and edge punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch,
Sentiment is Curly Cute and I distressed it using the spritzer tool, added a few of the Basic Rhinestones to finish the end of the greeting and on the ribbon too,
and a little flower from the Boho Flower Punch with the offcuts of paper and another Rhinestone finish off the inside perfectly.
Super quick post from me today s it is already school run time, back tomorrow with another bit of craftyness,

Last space for Marker Club

Hiya,
Do you need the Stampin' Up! markers? Do you want them all but don't want to pay out £100 all at once? Do you want the storage case which you can only get if you order them in full? Well, I can help! I am hosting a Marker Club.
Starting in January you commit to purchasing a colour family of markers each month for 4 months for just £25 (plus post on to you if necessary) and for one month you get the chance to be the hostess!
What does that mean? Well, if you want to (and you definitely don't have to) spend just £50 extra in "your" month and you can get {at least} a level one hostess benefits which includes £15 worth of products of your choice from the catalogue and your choice of level 1 hostess gift too (page 10 and 11 in the book).
I have 3 ladies ready and waiting to start this club in January so email me now to secure your place :-D

Sketch Saturday right on the nose ;-)

Hello,
Thank goodness it's Friday! now, I have heard a lot of this today, it seems everyone is needing this weekend off, so what you all got planned then? we had last weekend off(ish) so this weekend much to hubby delight we have a *very* long list of jobs to be getting on with, but first of all a card, I have actually been a little inspired after doing a bit of challenge blog hopping, I went to the Sketch Saturday blog and I LOVED their sketch this week, all be it that I am a little late to get into it, but hey ho, here is what I came up with...
Colour combo is taken from the Colour Coach, it is Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Baja Breeze, very summery don't you think? the stamp set is On a Pedestal,
I used the gorgeous Play Date papers and made yummy ribbon roses with In Colour Poppy Parade poly ribbon [only £5 for 1.5mtrs of each colour in this share] and finished it with a Basic Rhinestone,
a smaller rose with the buttons from the subtles collection,
here is the arty angle showing lots more Rhinestones and the little bit of detailing inside,

So, that's all for today, I hope you have a fun and more exciting weekend than we will be having ;-) lol!

Stamp Room Guided Tour!

Hello,
As I may have mentioned we had an extension put on this last year ;-) and finally we have it (sort of) finished, I still have areas we need more furniture (or less) but we will have to wait 'till funds allow, enough rambling though, I will explain as we go along...
So, as you walk in this is the wall you see first, there is a window on the left hand side and this is the main area I would say, I would like shelves above the punch rails for my stamps eventually :-D. The two cupboards either end of the table (worktop) are just kitchen ones from IKEA and I have left the doors off them as I like to see what I have (or else I forget!) and I am getting a chair on wheels (from a friend -one day soon ;-)) so I can scoot to the cutting area which I will show you next...

and here is the cutting area, I am going in a clockwise direction around the room. I still need to work on this and the next areas as they are still a bit unfinished but they work for now, note colour co-ordinated bowls of smarties, more on that soon..

and this is behind me as I sit at the desk, I often have a kid or husband sat in here watching telly and/or chatting while I craft and all my stamps fit on the unit perfectly,

Well, I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek around my tidy (today) craft room, Thanks for stopping by today. I have quite a few cards to be making so must get cracking :-)
A quick reminder about this months class, message me asap to resrve your place,

Monster of a Card

Hello,
In a week or so my friend and upline Julie is having a team training day, I cannot make it this time unfortunately but I am participating in the Card Candy swap so that's what I have been doing the last few days. I am pleased with the end result but I will have to wait to blog them until when the are going to be swapped so as not to spoil the surprise for the other members of the team ;-)
So, back to this card, I just fancied playing with this monster set the other day as I have had it for ages and not really gotten round to playing with it, I used the colour coach for the combo again, it is Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzaz and Tempting Turquoise,

The little banner is made using the star punch and the balloons are from Party this Way, it really is such a great set and the little star in the background is from Every Little Bit,

and an arty angle,

so a quick and easy little card for a boy today, I am going to clean my car this morning, boo, but then I hope to get inky later,
Have a great day whatever you are up to and thanks for stopping by to visit today xx
