Hang Your Stocking Punch (Die Cutting) Art! With FOUR FREE Tutorials!!

Hello and Happy Saturday!
As part of this week's mini series showcasing the Hang Your Stocking stamps and dies I have been having a play with lots of punch art and hopefully today you'll see these fab stamps and dies (both on offer and a little cheaper when purchased not as a bundle - but only 'till the 28th November! See them HERE in my shop) are not just for Christmas!
Now, disclaimer time! I do not claim to be the original inventor of any of these ideas however they are my take on the many others around on the internet and using current products ie: the Hang Your Stocking stamps and matching dies ;-)
Love the roller boot idea, I had hours upon hours of fun with mine when I was (a lot) younger! And I had these retro style ones too, not the ones with the stopper at the back, never did understand that ;-)
So, here are my tips to making the different parts of this roller boot.
#1 Trim the solid boot die cut down to make it about one third shorter.
#2 Use the stocking trim top to create 80's style zig-zag on the side. Trim to shorten.
#3 Add punched circle wheels using thin strips of card behind to secure.
#4 Use the stocking trim top to make stoppers too, simply trim in towards the point (which is the hidden part) at a slight inward angle.
#5 As with most punch art it looks a ton better if you ink all the edges before gluing together.
You can make Ice Skates easily too, just using the boot dies, see...
I made mine with the smallest stocking die but I'm sure you could make them with the larger die using the same principles :-)
And how about some Baby Booties?
Simply trim down and decorate :-)
And the classic Hobby Horse, no extra photo for this one as there wasn't any altering - Simply stamp and heat emboss with white powder, add a ribbon fringe mane and some thin ribbon for a halter. Googly eyes and 'stocking heel' ears! Pop onto a pretty straw using Crystal Effects to hold securely and you're done!
Well, I hope that has inspired you to take a second look at these stamps and dies? Remember they are only on offer 'till Monday and cheaper when purchased separately 'till then!
