21st Birthday Rainbow Watercoloured Card using Stampin' Up! Supplies.

Hello there,
Today's card is one I made for my eldest son's girlfriends birthday last week :-)
I wanted to make something a bit wow and that could be kept if she wanted to and this is what I came up with....
I used some of the new iridescent sequins which are nice and little, so perfect for accenting these Large Letter and Number of Years Framelits.
I loved this ombre ribbon* when it included in the accessory kit from the Spring/Summer catalogue so I'm thrilled that you can now purchase a whole reel!
*Also available in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo
Look how perfect those sequins blend whilst adding sparkle!
Inside I used this sentiment from the new Happiest of Days stamp set (only £16.00 in clear!!)
To make this watercoloured rainbow I taped a piece of watercolour paper 21cm wide x 8cm high to spare card. Spritz with water then painted with each colour ink, overlapping the colours slightly.
I did use a lot of ink pads for this card to make the rainbow. If you don't have quite so many ink pads you could also use re-inkers or even just use less colours and make wider bands of colour, overlapping more.
In order, I used: Pool Party, Mint Macaron (retired, you could use Pear Pizzazz instead), So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Pink Pirouette, Sweet Sugarplum and Berry Burst!
TIP: On this height of paper you can easily stagger the letters (and numbers) to make sure you get the best blended colours for your card.
Finally, I went over each letter using the ever useful clear Wink of Stella!
I was really please with this card, I hope you have enjoyed it too?
