Thank you cards with the Lots of Happy Card Kit for ICC

Hello and welcome to a new challenge with Inspire. Create Challenges!
Can you believe it's challenge #30 already?? So, this weeks challenge is to use the theme "Thankful"
Unfortunately, for some inexplicable reason blogger won't let me add the image for this challenge :-(
But, I do have the cards I made :-) So I wanted to use the very lovely "Lots of Happy" card kit for this challenge and I just loved the ease of a kit and it's perfect for this challenge. I had coloured some of the flowers while I was away this summer, using the watercolour pencils in the kit but I also had a go with my blends for some too, lets have a look at the finished cards together first shall we...
For this card I used the pencils...
Love the die cut vellum leaves which are included in the kit. The only thing I added was a few clear sequins from my stash.
This image was from this past years Sale-a-Bration (now retired) so it's good to still be able to get it in this kit!
This was also coloured with watercolour pencils, but from the watercolour pencil set available separately.
And finally for today this adorable, teeny-tiny card!
Now this image was coloured with my blends and you can see it gives a totally different vibrancy to the flowers!
So, which style of colouring are you loving right now? I think it depends on the overall effect you are trying to achieve, soft and whimsical or bold and vibrant? Or both, of course. Which is what I  choose ;-)

Trick or Tweet! No Line Watercolouring Halloween Card.

Hello! Long time, no blog! :-(
I have so many cards to share with you at the moment but I'm currently working almost every night until 3am so I have been really struggling to get much of anything crafty done past the essentials (magazine commissions (which I can't share here yet ;-)) card classes, Halloween treats etc) however I did manage a bit of editing last night and so I have this cute card to share with you today!
I tried my hand at a bit of no line watercoluring and some masking too a few weeks back using the Trick Or Tweet stamp set and here is the result...
I started by stamping Scrappy Doo here (it looks just like him, right?) on shimmery white card with my Sahara Sand ink pad. Watercoloured with more ink pads and aqua painters then drying before covering him with some masking fluid to add in the background. I love how he turned out!
These little skulls and stars (/snowflakes, maybe?) in the background are from the hostess set Warm Hearted, which is packed with seasonal sentiments as well as cute little images like this!
I used Versamark to stamp these on a Rich Razzleberry card layer to create a subtle background.
I added in a few (retired) enamel shapes and a white embossed sentiment, all layered onto a black card base to finish.
OK, so I'm off to work this morning but I do hope to get another post done for you asap! Have a great, crafty weekend :-) and thanks so much for looking today, I miss sharing with you here!

Inspire. Create Sketch Challenge - DSP Christmas Tree

Hello there,
I have a fun card today that is just perfect for using up those smaller scraps of paper we all end up with in our DSP packs and just can't bring ourselves to throw away. I'm a total paper hoarder, are you?
I am using this weeks fabulous sketch challenge (#29) with Inspire. Create for the layout of this card...
Another great sketch, I'm sure you'll agree? And the DT have made some amazing cards using it, head over to the Challenge Blog to see and also to upload your cards ;-) And here's is the card I came up with for this challenge...
For the background I flicked some slightly watered down shimmer paint (both the white and champagne colours) all over the white card layer for a shimmery, snow effect as well as running some champagne paint round the edges. It's so sparkly and pretty IRL!
I used some strips of the "All Is Bright" DSP to make this tree, trimming and fiddling until it came together. I also edged each strip using a sponge dauber dipped in gold shimmer paint before sticking them down. I then topped them with thinner strips of gold glimmer paper for even more added sparkle.
The sentiment is from the Tags and Tidings set and I created a chalk-board effect by embossing it on black card with white powder. All finished with a few enamel shapes :-)
So, that's todays make using the ICC sketch. Will you give it a go this week? We'd love to see!
Head over to the challenge blog HERE for loads more inspo from the rest of the DT.
Thanks for stopping by today, I have so much to share with you but I'm working so many nights at the moment I'm really struggling to keep up if I'm honest!
Hopefully I'll be able to get and share some more crafty makes over the next few days :-)
'Till then, happy crafting!
