Inspire. Create Sketch Challenge - DSP Christmas Tree

Hello there,
I have a fun card today that is just perfect for using up those smaller scraps of paper we all end up with in our DSP packs and just can't bring ourselves to throw away. I'm a total paper hoarder, are you?
I am using this weeks fabulous sketch challenge (#29) with Inspire. Create for the layout of this card...
Another great sketch, I'm sure you'll agree? And the DT have made some amazing cards using it, head over to the Challenge Blog to see and also to upload your cards ;-) And here's is the card I came up with for this challenge...
For the background I flicked some slightly watered down shimmer paint (both the white and champagne colours) all over the white card layer for a shimmery, snow effect as well as running some champagne paint round the edges. It's so sparkly and pretty IRL!
I used some strips of the "All Is Bright" DSP to make this tree, trimming and fiddling until it came together. I also edged each strip using a sponge dauber dipped in gold shimmer paint before sticking them down. I then topped them with thinner strips of gold glimmer paper for even more added sparkle.
The sentiment is from the Tags and Tidings set and I created a chalk-board effect by embossing it on black card with white powder. All finished with a few enamel shapes :-)
So, that's todays make using the ICC sketch. Will you give it a go this week? We'd love to see!
Head over to the challenge blog HERE for loads more inspo from the rest of the DT.
Thanks for stopping by today, I have so much to share with you but I'm working so many nights at the moment I'm really struggling to keep up if I'm honest!
Hopefully I'll be able to get and share some more crafty makes over the next few days :-)
'Till then, happy crafting!
