"In The City" Hostess stamp set

Happy Sunday to you! Although I actually started writing this post on Friday afternoon *facepalm*
Anyway, I have a sweet little card today using the Hostess only stamp set "In The City". I've really loved this set and it's going to be a keeper for me and these next few weeks are your very last chance to earn it for free!
I made this card a couple of weeks ago and it turns out there's more retiring products than those that are staying, seems I like I'm going to miss quite a lot of stuff from this catty when it retires *-*
So, also leaving us is the Soft Sky background card, the Flirty Flamingo card is also retiring from the In Colours... but staying forever in the colour revamp, Yay! But also leaving is this lovely Brick Wall embossing folder! Which is great for teenagers graffiti wall cards, just sayin' ;-)
So, let's have a closer look at todays make...
I also added some silver tinsel trim to the sentiment here, which was in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.
I used the solid images to colour the outlines for this card but it looks great watercoloured too, see this card HERE that I made.
As I'm writing this I thought how cool would this be coloured with blends? I'm so going to have to give that a go....
So which stamp set or accessory are you going to miss the most? And what would you most like to see in the new catalogue? Answers in the comments ;-)

Fruit Basket Narrow Notecard.

Hello there,
I hope your day is going well? I have a million jobs today so am super late with this post but, better late than never, right? I wanted to share this cute Narrow Notecard with you which uses the Fruit Basket stamps and punches (retiring soon) to make a cute little card you could send to just about anybody! Let's see...
I added some mini epoxy shapes (also retiring soon) to the punched pineapples for a little faux shine.
The mat was made with the starburst punch which I rolled through the Lemon-Lime ink pad for a pop. Layered onto some SaB paper and onto a Narrow Notecard to finish.
So that's today's card for you! I'm just waiting on the upgrade for my product links for direct access for you but you can purchase any of the items I've used here (while stocks last) in MY SHOP.
Thanks so much for looking today,

Flying Home Stamp Set and a Ton of News!

Hello there,
I have soooo much to share today! The last week has been just crayzee here so although I have been on Insta and Facebook I have just not had time to blog an actual card on here! And I do have a card today so please do stick with me, I just have a few links and dates to share with you first :-D
So, let's start with what a fab-u-lous time On Stage was last weekend! It was great to see the new catalogue that's coming of course, but it was really great to spend some stamping time with some of my Stampin' Up! family.
OK, so I mentioned the new catty but that of course means retiring products, including the rather gorgeous stamp set I'm featuring here today, Flying Home, :-(
To see all the RETIRING PRODUCTS CLICK HERE
Here's a PDF of Retiring Spring/Summer Products
~~~
And a PDF of Annual Catalogue Products
~~~
Please, please order the things you 'must have' ASAP so you aren't disappointed :-)
There was also news of a colour refresh at On Stage so some colours are being removed (for-ever!) to make way for lots of lovely new ones...
And they are also re-configuring the ink pads. Due to the dies coming to the end of their life SU! took the opportunity to improve on the current pads. Don't worry, you won't have to change all your ink pads (unless you want to, of course ;-)) as they will still work and the new ones are much the same size so they should fit in your current storage options fine too. I'll be able to share more soon but for now here is the last guaranteed dates for ordering, then it's while stocks last.
OK, so let's see a card shall we? I am super sad this stamp set (Flying Home) didn't make the new Annual catty...
I used blends to colour the image and teamed it with the Wood Textures DSP
Stitched edge dies. I can't seem to get enough of them ;-)
Finish with some blingy glimmer paper and a few adhesive sequins and boom! Done!
OK, that's all for today.
I hope you managed to stick with me through this post? If you have any questions regarding the changes please do drop me a line at sarah-janerae@sky.com and I'll be happy to help as much as I'm allowed :-)

Truly Tailored for Inspire. Create challenges #15

Hello there,
Today at Inspire. Create challenges the theme is "Masculine" which can often be a tricky make, so I hope you find plenty of inspiration from the ICC Design Team :-D
So, I recently purchased the Truly Tailored bundle and wanted to try something a bit different with it when I thought of bow ties! See...
To make the bow ties I simply punched some of the True Gentleman DSP out using the Tailored Tag punch and cut the shape in half, securing the smaller sides back together and covering the join with a strip of matching paper down the centre. Tah Dah!
Add in a sentiment and that's it for this CaS card and of course these dickie bows would also work well with my Tuxedo Card, Tutorial HERE
The only thing I would consider doing differently is to add the paper bow ties to a matching coloured card layer for extra stability, but it certainly isn't essential.
So, please do head over to the Inspire. Create blog and see what the rest of the DT have created as I'm sure they will be fab-u-lous! And don't forget to post your "Masculine makes" over there too!
Thanks so much for stopping by today :-)

Fruit Basket with Narrow Notecards

Hi there,
Super quick post today for a mini card :-) I used the super adorable Narrow Notecards for this make and teamed it with some pears from the Fruit Basket stamps, see...
This design was actually one that was a make and take tag from On Stage last November (*-*)
I finally completed it a few weeks ago when I decided to tackle some of the half finished projects in my "Basket of Shame" ;-)
Please tell me I'm not the only on with half finished projects? Please ;-)
OK, thanks so much for looking today, I'll be back tomorrow with another Inspire. Create challenge, I do hope you'll join me here?

Epic Celebrations, Red Converse Card

Hi!
Today I have another SaB make, did you get hold of 'Epic Celebrations'? I will definitely be keeping this set as a mum of three (two boys and a girl) it will be invaluable for those tricky teens (and older!)
I think this is a card that would work well for anyone who loves Converse style trainers (arguably most teens?) let's see...
I started by stamping the trainers in position and colouring them with my blends before stamping the sentiment, ensuring it would straddle both where the die cut area will be and the main section of card.
I then used the stitched edge dies (perfect for adding a little extra 'oomph' to this inlaid die cut technique) to cut a circle before adhering the white outer section to a Smoky Slate card layer. Finish by adding back in the die cut, also flat to the SS card layer.
Wrap with ribbon and add to a cherry cobbler card base and finish with some enamel shapes!
And that's it. I hope you like today's card? Do you have this set too?
Right, I'll be back soon with another card, 'till then, happy stamping!

Blooming Basket Sale-a-Bration card

Happy Easter to you!
No April fools joke, I'm afraid Sale-a-Bration really is over for another year :-( I hope you managed to get the stamp sets and products you had your eye on? I have a couple of cards left to share with you using the SaB products so I hope if you have these sets that you might want to see my last few makes using them?
Today I want to share a card using the Blooming Basket Bundle and although the stamps are gone forever the basket weave embossing folder will be back in the new catalogue (coming in June)
So, let's look at today's card, shall we?
I watercoloured this basket of flowers...
A narrow black card layer makes the basket image pop!
And that basket weave E.F. is just lovely, I'm so sad this set is gone as I've only had a chance to play with it a couple of times :-( Did you get this set?
OK, that's all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a lovely Easter Sunday, we are chilling at home today (and hoping to squeeze in a little craft time this afternoon) before taking the children to Thorpe Park tomorrow. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain (as predicted) too much ;-)
