Inspire. Creat. Stamping Challenge #006 - Fancy Folds!

Hi there!
Today it's time for another challenge at Inspire. Create. Stamping challenges.
I can hardly believe it's already week #006! And the theme this week is "Fancy Folds".
Now, I don't generally too make many fancy folded cards, I've been tending to stick to CaS cards of late, so I decided to dig through the archives on here and revive a fold that once I had re-made it I do wonder why I haven't made more of them! And it's always good to be pushed from your comfort zone, amiright?
So, to see the original design with a FREE tutorial too, go HERE. And this is my updated version using the Christmas Around The World DSP...
I love the images and also the grey snowflake background on this paper. This is the same piece, just different sides. I'm always torn which side to use when they are both this nice ;-)
So, you can gently ease the top out from behind the tab at the bottom...
And then you can write on the back of the piece with the circle or the centre panel. I chose the circle panel and decorated it with some offcuts of DSP.
So, the original tutorial used punches (including the retired 2.5" circle) and if you have them already, great! However here are the correct sizes to make this card with the Layering Circle Framelits :-)
The hole in the card base can be made with the second largest circle die, the small tab can be made with the smallest circle die and the popped up circle can be cut with the third largest die...
...but, I used the stitched edge die (for the popped up circle) which is the same size as that third largest die I mentioned before.
So, I do hope you have a go at this card, it really is much easier than it looks and make a fun change to the regular shaped card which is always fun!
Don't forget to hop over to the Inspire. Create blog and see what the rest of the DT have made :-) And you can share your creations there too!
Thanks for looking today!

Using 'Oh So Eclectic' in Kraft and Navy

EDIT: I wrote this post last night and forgot to "Publish"! So, it's very late in the day, but at least it's here, right ;-)
Every time I played around with the dies from the 'Oh So Eclectic' bundle and I found myself not wanting to throw away the lovely, tiny cut out portions :-( and so I decided to make an inlaid die cut card with some. It's not a super quick card to make but it's not difficult either, just time consuming, maybe one for in front of the telly?
Let's see, shall we...
To make this card: I used the die to cut the Flowers? Honeycomb? Shape? Well, whatever it's called! from the soft sky card layer before adhering it to a kraft square, 5mm larger. Then I die cut it from some fresh fig card and peeled the die up, trying to keep as many of the small pieces in the actual die as possible. I added tiny dots of tombow in the gaps of the soft sky layer, then placed the die over the holes and pushed the small pieces out, into the holes.
Add to a navy card base and then add a bow in navy seam binding to a sentiment (from the stamp set) and a few sequins to finish :-)
Well, that's all for today, I do hope you liked this card and maybe even give it  go?
Thanks for looking today. Before you go, a quick reminder that tomorrow is a new challenge from Inspire. Create. so I do hope you will come back then and see :-)))

Watercoloured Ombre Wedding Card and Special Offers from Stampin' Up!

Hello!
Apologies for my week long absence from here but I've been laid up, poorly :-(  But, as I'm feeling much better now I wanted to hop on and share the special offers SU! have running this week and of course a card!
Actually, it's one I made way back in the summer! You know, it's funny, but when the new Christmas stuff came in I got so immersed in it and excited to share all the things as I made with them that some of my other makes got held back. So now I'm going to share a few with you over the next few days before I get back into my craft room and finish the last of my Christmas cards!
But, before I do, can I just mention the "BF" words?! Yes, SU! is having a Black Friday sale running 'till the 26th November (Sunday @11pm) You can see the list of all the special discounts on the selected stamp sets HERE or hop over to my SHOP HERE
In addition to this SU! is celebrating 10 years in Europe and so is having an additional special offering 10 special priced items, just in the European market, to celebrate each of those years...

And finally some ADVANCE NOTICE: The above offers will finish on 11pm Sunday night but they will be replaced with a FREE shipping offer just for 24 hours!
Starting at 11pm Sunday 26th November, 'till 11pm Monday 27th November to celebrate "Cyber Monday" saving you £4.95 :-))
OK, so let's (finally) see this card I promised, shall we?
I made it to celebrate my step daughter and her new husband's wedding :-)
I started with a sheet of watercolour paper the same width as this card (DL=21cm x 10.5cm) and added a watercolour wash using just about all of my pink ink pads to make this ombre effect. I then dried the paper with my heat tool and die cut the words out using the Large Letter Framelits...
The paper in the background is actually from the coffee break DSP. The scalloped border along the bottom edge is made using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
Finally I dotted the die cut letters with sequins and added a ribbon bow.
So, I hope you liked todays card and all the fab offers that are available too!
Thanks so much for looking today, I'll be back tomorrow with another make :-)

Tri-Fold Snowman Poop Tic Tac Holder. FREE Tutorial!

Hello!
This time last week I was in Birmingham at Stampin' Up's OnStage event, swapping and learning and generally having a ball! Sadly, this week it's back to work ;-)
But, I have finally got around to editing the photos of the swaps I made and I also have a little photo tutorial on how to make them too! Let's see....
Inside a sentiment and Snowman Poop, of course ;-)
You *may* recognise this adorable Snowmen from Seasonal Chums and the background was stamped using Smitten Mittens.
Stamp, cut, score , fold and stick ;-)
TIP: If you are making multiples of these change that order to: Stamp, score, cut, fold and stick!
TIP: It's not very often I suggest punch the card first, then stamp. But for this it maximised the amount of labels you can get from a sheet of card and photopolymer stamps make this super easy to stamp.
Secure closed with twine.
TIP: I tied a knot before tying the bow as it was much easier to hold it secure this way!
I made about 36 of these holders but somehow managed to stamp and colour more snowmen that I needed! And after spending several hours colouring I wasn't going to waste those bad boys, so I added them to some Treat Tubes I still had!
And here they are all together!
If we swapped in Birmingham, I'd like to say a big, huge thank you! I had lots of really lovely swaps in return and I love them all! *mwah*
And now for my oops moment. Apparently this snowman was stuck to the holder a little crooked and of course that's the one I choose to photograph! Doh! f you got this in a swap, I apologise, I honestly didn't notice and obviously I didn't spot it when I took the pictures either! Lol!!
Well, that's it for me for today, I really do hope you have enjoyed today's tutorial? Let me know in the comments...
