Using 'Oh So Eclectic' in Kraft and Navy

EDIT: I wrote this post last night and forgot to "Publish"! So, it's very late in the day, but at least it's here, right ;-)
Every time I played around with the dies from the 'Oh So Eclectic' bundle and I found myself not wanting to throw away the lovely, tiny cut out portions :-( and so I decided to make an inlaid die cut card with some. It's not a super quick card to make but it's not difficult either, just time consuming, maybe one for in front of the telly?
Let's see, shall we...
To make this card: I used the die to cut the Flowers? Honeycomb? Shape? Well, whatever it's called! from the soft sky card layer before adhering it to a kraft square, 5mm larger. Then I die cut it from some fresh fig card and peeled the die up, trying to keep as many of the small pieces in the actual die as possible. I added tiny dots of tombow in the gaps of the soft sky layer, then placed the die over the holes and pushed the small pieces out, into the holes.
Add to a navy card base and then add a bow in navy seam binding to a sentiment (from the stamp set) and a few sequins to finish :-)
Well, that's all for today, I do hope you liked this card and maybe even give it  go?
Thanks for looking today. Before you go, a quick reminder that tomorrow is a new challenge from Inspire. Create. so I do hope you will come back then and see :-)))

Oh So Eclectic and Totally Tabs makes a Happy Wife Card!

Happy Saturday to you!
I have had a busy week here again and tomorrow I'm off to Yorkshire for a couple of days to make cards with friends :-) I can't wait! Next week is going to be fun too as I have been chosen to be on a design team for a brand new challenge blog Inspire.Create.Challenges. This is fortnightly challenge blog with lots of fun themes (I can promise you, I've seen the first four!) with lots of talented ladies on the DT sure to inspire you! I do hope you will join us starting Wednesday, however you can go and meet the DT this week HERE.
But, even before all of that I have lots to share with you here! I wanted to make this card as soon as I got my hands on the Totally Tabs! For this card I teamed it with Oh So Eclectic. Such fun, see.....
The sentiment in the set says "Happy Life" so I inked it with a marker and missed off the 'L 'the first time, then inked it all the second time to make it say this - a sentiment all partners should know ;-)
So, it's a tad tricky to tell from the photos but I made the front of the card narrower than the back to allow for the tab and so it would still fit in a regular envelope.
I do love the embossed diamond shape in the thinlits pack for the Oh So Eclectic set.
All product links at the end of this post.
Well, I was going to take the dog out for a run in the forest but the heavens have opened (again), looks like he'll have to wait and I'll go colour!
Hope you have a great Saturday!
Thanks for looking today :-)

Using the Oh So Eclectic bundle by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
I have a card today that I used the little pieces out of the trellis die from THIS CARD. I went with a Tranquil Tide base with Lemon-Lime twist overlay pieces and Berry Burst flowers. The flowers were  then topped with a vanilla card fine flower overlay and some of the new, pretty gold faceted gems, see...
I used a TIP from the papercrafting queen, Jennifer McGuire, for attaching all these tiny little pieces. First, leave as many pieces in the die as possible, add a dot of glue to the back each piece, position the die then pop out the pieces when in place. Then with any missing pieces place the original die cut card over the already adhered pieces, dot glue in the gaps and fill in with remaining bits. Ta dah!
Notice those embossed leaves? These are new embossing only dies that are included in the Oh So Eclectic set - as well as a faceted heart and a tiny leaf frond too. How fun!
Well, that's all from me for today, I hope you liked todays make?
I'll be back tomorrow with more!
Before I go a quick reminder that we are in the last few days to use this months hostess code for a freebie from me next month to say thanks...

Oh So Eclectic for a Colour Challenge.

Hi there,
I have a fun card today using the Oh So Eclectic bundle in a fresh, fun colour combo. Stampin' Up! gave us a heap of colour combos to work with new In Colours 2017/18 when they launched and the team I'm in (the Jems) decided to do one of the colours each week as a challenge. It's so nice to use colours together that you wouldn't usually pair up. I like a colour challenge or a sketch for those 'who knows what to make' moments ;-)
Anyway, this is the card I made with the Oh So Eclectic bundle and week fours combo of Fresh Fig, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake....
Want to join the fun? There's a fab-u-lous joining offer on this month with an extra £65 worth of product in your £99 starter kit! More details HERE
For the colour combos to try for yourself you can find the sheet  HERE. I'd love to see your makes :-)
I did a triple die cut with the trellis die on this card.
TIP: First I die cut the crumb cake layer then I added the fig card layer with a touch of washi tape at the sides to hold it still. Then I die cut again, removed the top layer and ran it through the big shot a third time to cut all the way through the fig card layer.
I only added glue to the stems so the fancy flower tops were still free and I added dimensionals under the solid flower part too.
Before threading the stems through the trellis to finish. The crumb cake card layer was stamped with versamark using the leaf from the matching stamp set.
I really did enjoy the challenge of only using the colours suggested, what kind of challenges are your favourite?
OK, so I'll be back tomorrow with another, completely different card using the same colours! Be sure to pop back to see it!
