Patterned Occasions for class

Hello there!
I am loving seeing the sun today! It's gorgeous here and I hope it is where you are too ;-)
I have the second card we are making at next weeks class for you today and I used the sweet set called Patterned Occasions and the Sycamore Street DSP again too, I think you will be seeing a lot of this pretty DSP in the next few months ;-)
I went with a larger banner and the Large Scallop Edgelit which I have to confess to having had for quite some time not using, shame on me!
I simply added dimension to the tea (or coffee) cup and layers.
I am also loving this colour combo of Summer Starfruit (my total fave right now!) and Island Indigo,
I hope you like today's card and if you would like to join us at class next week I have a couple of places left on each day but they are filling fast so please do GET IN TOUCH soon

Blooming Marvellous for card class

Hello there,
Well, the weather here is awful! I was hoping to get some nice pictures in the daylight after finishing these quite late yesterday but unfortunately it hasn't gotten very bright at all today :-(
So, the first card we will be making at class next week it this one using the Blooming Marvellous stamp set from SAB, this super cute new small butterfly punch is available in the new Spring/Summer catalogue which launches Friday :-)))))))
This lovely DSP called Sycamore Street and button/ribbon combo are also free with purchases during Sale-a-Bration, message me with your order or to book a party to get yours!
I also used the Vine Street Embossing Folder on the front panel so all in all a SAB-tastic card today!
If you would like to join us for class next week I do still have a couple of places left, message me to come along and join the fun :-)
Must dash and fetch the kiddies now,  but I'll be back tomorrow with more to share!

Sending you a Happy Hello!

hello there,
Today I am sharing with you the kit I sent out to my Stampers 6 group this week. You can get your hands on this kit yourself by spending just £45 and choosing it as your FREE sale-a-bration gift (See HERE for more details) or if you would like a card kit each month (along with a lot of other great stuff too!)with a small (£25 product) order then why not consider joining my Stampers 6 club, I have just ONE month left, message me to join the fun!
So, this months kit contained all the bits to make this cute card,
but this is what you get in the whole SAB package, enough to make 8 cards with envelopes, great for quick makes and no additional elements required... unless you want to of course ;-)
I added a couple of tickets from a NEW stamp set coming soon in the Spring/Summer catalogue called That's the Ticket, it's my new favourite stamp set, be prepared for lots with this one!! ;-)
Well, I hope you like today's card and thanks as ever for stopping by today.

Patchwork Heart

Hello there,
I am just popping on here to share a card I made yesterday for Zoe's friends birthday, she went paint balling with her today and this is the card I made for her to take with her...
Now, sorry the colours are a bit off but I didn't get it finished 'till it was dark yesterday and it was barely light at 8am this morning too! The base is Lucky Limeade with a So Saffron layer and a Rich Razzleberry heart, matching the Floral District Designer Paper squares,
I started by punching several squares with the postage stamp punch, inking them in saffron ink and adhering them to some whisper white card, I then die cut with the hearts framelits and embossed with the new Vine Street embossing folder. This super cute little stamp is also a sneak from a set called Pretty Petites and was punched with the new Petite Curly Label punch (more details coming very soon!)
another vintage faceted button with a bit of (retired) spotty ribbon
and plenty of dimensional and bling were used too! I made the embossed background on the scalloped heart with the diagonal plate and the SU! scoreboard,
Right, I'm off to work now,
Back soon with more cards for you

Mickey and Minnie Punch Art Tutorial

Hello there!
Today I have a card and another little tutorial to share with you! Whoop whoop!
We are taking the children to Disneyland Paris in February for a (very) mini break and seeing as we booked it so close to Christmas we decided to let them know on Christmas day ;-) So for that I needed a card!
I went with a simple Mickey and Minnie design
close up of Minnie's hair bow,
This ribbon is retired but it's just so perfect for Disney don't you think?
and inside I printed a simple message explaining what the card was for.
Zack did a funny dance when he read it and Zoe kept saying she couldn't believe it and thank you!! (Josh already knew as he was there when we booked it ;-))
 So, to make your very own Mickey and Minnie punch art this is what you will need;
Circle punches:1+3/4", 1", and 1/2" plus the (retired) 5 petal flower punch
to make the bows punch a petal for each side
and glue to the reverse of a 1/2" circle, perhaps a bit neater than I did though ;-)
Well, I hope you like today's card and the little tutorial is a bit of help to someone out there in blogland :-))))
Thanks for stopping by today

Stovetop Pot-Pourri recipe with a little box tutorial too!

Hello there,
Today I have the gift we made for Christmas for the children's teachers and for our neighbours too, along with the tutorial I promised you for the box to put them in.
We made the Stovetop Pot-Pourri after seeing it a lot on Pinterest.
I adapted it slightly (just less cranberries really) so I had enough for everyone I needed with what I had :-) My recipe is a little further down this post or HERE is the original post....
So, this is what it looked like when I finished...
I also dried some orange slices and made cinnamon tags too (simply apple sauce and dried cinnamon or I used in-expensive mixed spice, mixed together to make a dough and baked on a low heat in the oven) tied on with linen thread
the pot-pourri consisted of a Cinnamon Stick, a level tablespoon of cloves, a whole orange and a handful of cranberries and a half a small or third of a large nutmeg which I simply crushed into chunks with a rolling pin.
I had a pot on the go all over the holidays and the house smelt just like Christmas should! I will definitely be making this every year from now on. Oh how I love a new tradition ;-)
Anyway, I wanted to send it in a little box, all decorated up and looking pretty so this is my other share with you for today ....
So, begin with an A5 piece of card (14.8cm x 21cm) score along the 14.8cm side at 4cm and 11cm
then along the 21cm side at 4cm and 17cm
now, before you crease the score lines stamp your design all over, I used Serene Snowflakes (retired) in white craft ink
next re-enforce the score lines with your bone folder
cut along the score lines as shown
glue the end flaps you have created
and fold up to make the open top box, hold with a clip as shown 'till the glue dries
to give the back of the bags a bit of rigidity I added a large matching colour (crumb cake) card layer which I glued inside the box before adding the smaller and embossed (with the chevron folder ;-)) and a printed, die cut instruction layer to the outside of the box
and here it is from the front again.
Well, that's me again for the day, I have some more work to be done before fetching the kiddies from school,
Back soon with more goodies

Well, first of all I must apologise to you all for being absent this last couple of weeks! But now the kids are back to school and hubs is back to work I am back to blogging!!
I have loads of things to share with you and as the Autumn/Winter catalogue is still available for the next month I am going to share with you some of the projects I have made and not had a chance to blog using products from there over the next few weeks.
So today I am starting with a Halloween project I missed sharing, I love these little pencil holders ;-)
I made the base with black card and stamped using Toxic Treats with Craft White Ink, the little bats and spiders are from the Googly Ghouls stamp set,
A cute Frankenstein, (not two words you thought you would usually hear in the same sentence??) and this sweet little mummy are all in the same set,

 and lastly a lil' witch
and here they are all together...
These Halloween stamp sets are only available now 'till the end of January, there are no guarantees they will be around in the new main catalogue again so if you love them then please remember to get your hands on them asap.
Back tomorrow with my kids Teacher gifts for Christmas and mini tutorial too ;-)
