Using Giggle Greetings by Stampin' Up! for a Man's Card.

Hello there,
Today's post is a card we made at class using Giggle Greetings. I hadn't used this  set in quite a while and isn't that a shame?. We made this card, which is perfect for those tricky fellas, in a neutral Crumb Cake, Hello Honey and Navy colourway, what do you think....
The image was stamped using staz on onto watercolour paper and then coloured in with blender pens and ink pads. Lastly we added a navy part circle to the bottom for contrast.
A simple strip of card and a knot of (retired) thick twine decorate the bottom of the card
This front panel and image circle is popped up on dimensionals.
All supplies are listed at the end of this post :-)
and one final picture to finish today
OK, that's all from me for today, I have had a very busy morning with still a few things to do this afternoon! Hopefully I might get a chance to make something soon though ;-)
Thanks, as ever, for looking today

Using Butterfly Framelits by Stampin' Up! for a Special Card :-)

Hello!
So, as you know today is Tuesday today (all day, too!) but unfortunately I have been a little under the weather the last few days (nothing serious) but sadly I just haven't been well enough to make this weeks TMT video :-( I will try and make one later in the week, all being well, but I do have a pretty card to share with you today still :-)
This week was my very dear friends birthday and of course I wanted to make a special card for her and so I came up with this...
I used a CAS colourway of Watermelon Wonder and White with DSP from the gorgeous Pretty Petals DSP stack (which has just gone on offer while stocks last or until 11pm on the 4th August!) the for the larger butterfly, silver thread and a velum butterfly on the top.
It was quite a dimensional card this one even though it was simple design
The sentiment and sequins are from the Watercolour Wishes kit, which was such a lovely kit to make - and I still have photos to share with you of my makes from this kit too! Soon, I promise :-)
Right, I'm off to my bed for an early-ish night!
Thanks for looking today,

Teachers Cards 2015 using Watercolour Thank-you by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
We've been out today to celebrate FiL 80th birthday! We had a yummy lunch out and then home for coffee and cake (as requested by Dad) so a quiet celebration :-) I'll share his card and table favours with you tomorrow.
So, I'm on here today with the teachers cards I promised yesterday. Zack is the only child I have left at junior school so only one lot of teachers this year! But that's still two teachers and two assistants! I'll start today with the teachers. I wanted to make slightly more special cards for the two main teachers so I made (another) shaker card each...
Inside the shaker part I added sequins and wooden stars from my stash and a load of punched apples from the Tree builder punch over the stamped watercolour Thank-You and some cute apples from the Sprinkles of Life set too.
I had to add an extra layer of card inside to balance out the weight at the front of these cards ;-)
I also made matching tags for the gift bags - we sent in pretty notebooks and pencils as our thank you gifts this year :-)
and a little collage of these shaker cards...
So, onto the teachers helpers. I went with single layer CAS style for these cards.
 with matching apples inside
and double layered apples on the front.
and another collage for these cards and gifts to finish today :-)
Well, hopefully they liked their cards and gifts and you did too?
Thank as ever for stopping by on what is a cold, wet Sunday in the South of England - Happy summer eh!? ;-)
