Elaines card

Hello folks,
Well this is the first of a few scheduled posts :0) as you may know I am on Holiday in Spain for a few weeks, but I will try to pop on the ole 'puter whilst I'm away -when I'm not at the beach that is (which will be lots hopefully)

This card was made using instructions to be found on the lovely and talented Steph's blog. I have used a Miss Anya and coloured her with pro markers to match the very exotic looking Haiku papers (available in my share go here for details) on a So Saffron base

matching earth elements buttons tied with linen thread.

Here it is from the side to see the dimension :0)
Well, that's it for today and I will be back in a couple of days with another card, Look forward to seeing you then ;0)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Day 3 Cupcake Preview

Helllooo,
Yay!! Schools out for summer!!! la la la... it's a good job we haven't got sound-a-web yet!!!
Well anyway here is the 3rd card we will be making at my class this Saturday, I have left it without a sentiment on the front as I think it looks nice with the cake as the main focal point? Let me know what you think....

I have used the lovely Choc Chip DSP and Regal Rose and Choc Chip card stock for the cupcake, the little sprinkles on the top were made using a crop-a-dile and sticking them to the top and adding Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the dots. The cupcake is made using punches, more details at the class. If you want to find out how it is made, why not come along?

Here is a close up of the cupcake, I inked the edges for definition and another shot to show the layering :0)
To the lovely ladies who mentioned my holiday after yesterdays post, don't worry I have a couple of posts which I will schedule for when I am away :0)))) and a big 'thank-you' for your sweet comments x
Come back tomorrow for the last item we will be making this Saturday,

Another Sneak Peek and an Award!

Well helllloooo!
I hope you are all having a lovely day, I have got sooo much to do today, not least of all is to pack!!! (we are going away for 3 weeks on Sunday, eeek!) It is also my sisters birthday while we are away and my bestest friend Elaine's birthday on Friday!!!! So I suppose I had better get on with it :0)
First of all I must say I made this card after seeing this lovely creation by Kate- thanks for the inspiration Kate :0)
We will be making this and more on Saturday at my Cupcakes class...

Unfortunately they are not the worlds best piccies as it is raining here (again) but I will add the colours so you get the idea, right?

Choc Chip card base, Pumpkin Pie layer and Whisper White top layer with matching grosgrain ribbon. Sweet Always paper pieced balloons.

I stamped the balloons in Choc Chip ink, the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie and I also added a balloon to the inside.

Here you can see the lovely Spiral Punch detail, I really must use this punch more as I love the effect it gives.

Before I go I have been given an award from the super kind and talented Jan, thank-you Jan :0) If you don't know Jan then you really must pop over to her blog and take a look at her wonderful creations.

Right, that's it for today, Must get on....

Have a good one, and don't forget to come back tomorrow for another sneaky peek!!

Teachers cards, as promised!

Heloooo,
Here I am, back as promised :0) with some of the cards I managed to finish today-yay!
I made the round top boxes for the teachers, if you remember, a while back (Here if you don't ;0)) so I wanted the cards and boxes to be all matchy-matchy,
The cards I made are 3x3 again (loving these little ones) and I have used more of the fabby Sweet Always paper. I made all the cards with a different layout, just in case they compare them! although a little slower than making all the same, it does stop it from getting boring when you've got 7 to make!

Regal Rose card, accents and elements felt flowers and 5/8" + 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, scallop edge punch,
Sentiments are from Seeing Spots and Oval All. Matching punches also used.

I hope you like them and well, I hope they do too! They get them tomorrow, so I will let you know!!!!
Well that's it for today, come back tomorrow for the other 3 and a piccie of the boxes with the (matching) sweets all packaged up in their cello bags,
Bye for now,

Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Zacks performance

Well, I didn't quite finish the teachers cards, but I am working on getting them finished by this afternoon. As the title suggests I have been out this morning to Zack's pre-school show.
Surprisingly not sad at all, I didn't cry or anything- how brave am I??!!! {I think it will be worse when he actually starts school and isn't here all day!}
He is such a lively character usually, chatty and bubbly- but he
hates the whole standing in front of parents etc and singing! he was so shy and nervous (he gets this side from me, his dad can stand in front of anyone and talk, I would curl up with embarrassment!) Here he is walking into the hall looking round to find us...

and after the songs standing with each of us....

My baby, going to big school !!! I am so proud of him ;0)

Right must get finished as it is his last day tomorrow, they have a party, I will be back later with some pictures of what I (hopefully) get done :0)

Stamp set is seeing spots which I stamped in More Mustard and Pumkin Pie, Heart border made with Martha Stewart punch which finally came this week- yay!

Cheers!

As I promised yesterday, todays card is made using a wheel, the "Cheers" wheel to be more specific! It goes with the "Cheers to You" set also used on this card. I think it is a great wheel to colour but you could also use it with a tone on tone ink and card for a different look or to make it a speedier card.

I used summer picnic papers for the background, {Love these they are so summery ;0)} then I coloured the wheel and the cocktail using a blender pen and ink pads, decoupaging the umbrella and lemon. I also used glossy accents on the glass.

Here is the special view....

Well, that's it for today,

I hope you all have a good one and thanks for dropping by, I really love that you visit my little blog :0)

Truly Scrumptious Bella

Hello,
Well at least it's not raining (again!) how was your weekend? I sorted loads of stuff for the boot sale and it rained ALL day Saturday so didn't go :0( never mind time for crafting instead :0)
I made this card using some underused stash, Cupcake Bella and some DCWV papers and using the sketch from Truly Scrumptious.

Edit to say: the theme for this challenge is B+W plus one colour, I obviously didn't read that part and have just used the sketch, Sorry!!!

I coloured Bella with promarkers to match the papers, not that you can tell, it's a rubbish photo and I have tried to brighten it too!

I added a dew drop for the cherry and a cupcake button onto the wide SU! grosgrain ribbon,

Arty farty shot,

Have a good day and come back tomorrow for a card using a wheel ;0)

A card and another bird house

Morning folks,
Hope you are having a lovely day today, I am writing this very late and scheduling his post for the morning, so it will have to be short and sweet tonight/day :0)

Here is another of the bird houses.I made this one for Nicola to match the card with the cupcake from yesterday, Yes I am OCD and love that it matches perfectly (yes, that's my favourite thing about SU! and yes, my Christmas wrapping paper matches my tree decs too!!!! much to my friends' amusement) I used So saffron and choc chip card for this and stamped using versa mark with the flowers from Live Your Dream randomly all over. The rest is the same as the other day, please scroll down for more details :0)
This is a little 3x3 card I made to go in with the candy which was won by Emma at the beginning of the month. I have used the flower from Live Your Dream again and made a mono-tone card in More Mustard.
More Mustard DSP (level 1 hostess gift) matching button threaded with Linen Thread,
1+3/8" and scallop circle punches for the topper.
All SU! and available through me ;0)
Right, that's it from me tonight, it's now midnight and I really must go... or I will regret it in the morning !!
