Have a Washi Halloween!

Happy Halloweeeeennnnnn!!!!!!!!

I really love Halloween and am excited to share this quick, little project I made for you today.

I purchased some polystyrene balls and wanted to cover one with some of the lovely Witches Brew Washi Tape with a little of the Epic Day tape (the grey one) and this is what it looked like, it was really quick and easy to do too!
I used the (now retired) Toxic Treats, it is however still available as a download :-) and the spiders web embossing folder behind the treat label, I inked around the edges of the labels using Smoky Slate ink to give this spooky effect
and added Wild Wasabi stitched Grosgrain ribbon to the top for a pumpkin (sort of) effect..
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today's make? and have a very happy Halloween wherever you are :-)))
OK I have a load of  Halloween decorating to do now and we will all be keeping our fingers crossed that the rain will hold off for everyone tonight!
Waahhh hhaaa hhhaa hhhaaaaaaaa.....

Back to School (and work ;-))!

Hello!
Well, first of all I must apologise to you all for being absent this last couple of weeks! But now the kids are back to school and hubs is back to work I am back to blogging!!
I have loads of things to share with you and as the Autumn/Winter catalogue is still available for the next month I am going to share with you some of the projects I have made and not had a chance to blog using products from there over the next few weeks.
So today I am starting with a Halloween project I missed sharing, I love these little pencil holders ;-)
I made the base with black card and stamped using Toxic Treats with Craft White Ink, the little bats and spiders are from the Googly Ghouls stamp set,
A cute Frankenstein, (not two words you thought you would usually hear in the same sentence??) and this sweet little mummy are all in the same set,

 and lastly a lil' witch
and here they are all together...
These Halloween stamp sets are only available now 'till the end of January, there are no guarantees they will be around in the new main catalogue again so if you love them then please remember to get your hands on them asap.
Back tomorrow with my kids Teacher gifts for Christmas and mini tutorial too ;-)
Thanks for visiting to day,

Toxic Treats Tic Tac Holder FREE Tutorial

Hello there,
I'm here today with the tutorial I promised you making a Tic Tac holder for Halloween. I just love Halloween, it's second only to Christmas in our house but unfortunately the weather forecast is predicting rain tomorrow, boo! Fingers crossed they are wrong eh??
So, the tutorial. By following this tutorial you can get 6 of these holders from one A4 sheet of card (I used Old Olive card for these) so it's quite economical which is always good when you have a lot to make!
So, let's begin by cutting your card down the length, in half at 10.5cm and then cut each piece into 7.5cm sections
Score at 4.5cm and 6cm along the 10.5 side as shown here
Next I stamped the gate from Toxic Treats in Old Olive ink onto what will be the front of the holder
Then embossed with the Chevron Folder, you can get 2 in the new bigger folders if you are making a batch
This is what it looks like when embossed
stamp the gate again but in Staz On on to white card this time
Punch out with the 1+3/4" circle punch
then ink all the edges and crease lines with Basic Grey ink and a sponge for a spooky effect
add a small piece of red line tape to the centre front
and add a 45cm piece of ribbon to the tape, ensuring the centre of the ribbon is positioned in the middle of the centre scored section
add some dimensionals to the back of the punched gate image
and adhere over the ribbon, lining up the image
adhere the tic tac's to the inside with more red line tape
finish by tying the holder closed using the ribbon
and here are some of them together, they really didn't take very long at all and I will definitely be making more for Christmas ;-)
Well, I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial and if you have a go at making some then please remember to share them with me, I love to see what you make ;-)

Toxic Treats Halloween Goodies

Hello there today
Now, I know I promised to share a Christmas card today but I remembered I had a couple of little Halloween projects to share with the day fast coming up I am going with these first ;-)
I am going to start with this cute card which would make a great invite too I think. I have used the great Toxic Treats stamp set for both projects
With a colour combo of Rich Razzleberry, Black and Crumb Cake
 and an emboss resist gate,
and for a second project I made a little candy wrapper treat box  but with flat ends for a different look.
and this little topper was made by stamping with versamark and heat embossed with white powder
Well, that's your treats for today, I hope you have enjoyed them and I will be back with a couple more Halloween projects tomorrow,
happy Spooking ;-)

Toxic Treats by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
Today I want to share with you some Halloween bunting I made recently using the awesome Toxic Treat stamp set, loving toxic treats and as you can see here it's not just to decorate gifts!
Waa hhaaa hhhaa haaaa :-)
We will be making a similar version of this at the Halloween Bunting class on the Monday 8th October if you would like to come along and make this then please email me to book a spot.
So, how about a few close ups for you too...
I inked all the edges with basic grey ink for that spooky feel
and stamped different images using markers for that multi coloured look
with the smaller triangles in between
I also hung the bunting with bakers twine, adding some stripey ribbon in a knot in between each pennant
Well, that's all for today, I hope you like today's post and I will be back soon with more Halloween treats.
Thanks for dropping by today
