Hello there,
I am currently in Birmingham for Stampin' Up's "On Stage" event but I have a whole heap of festive cards to share and so here I am! I will be, of course, be uploading as much as I can (sorry, there will be some secrets!) on Instagram throughout the day, so if you want the inside info follow me there ;-)
Right, this card was one I designed for a Stamp-a-Stack recently using the 'Santa's Sleigh' bundle which is in the annual catalogue. Although, this isn't actually the card I made, I think mine got picked up by accident and this was made by one of the ladies that came to class! Funny how you can recognise your own cards, isn't it? Must be like handwriting...
Anyway, I was very late getting this bundle last Christmas and I haven't used it anywhere near enough (who, me?), so I designed this card for the class...
We tore whisper white card to make a snowy hill and added dazzling diamonds glitter along the edges for that essential, Christmas bling!
With the tree and wreath on white and watercoloured with Old Olive ink.
TIP: Use thick white for watercolouring and die cutting as it's more robust, and regular white for stamping as it's smoother.
I liked the little ribbon detail and have used it a couple of times since. It's a great way to add ribbon, without it being a bow ;-)
Right, that's all from me on here today.
We have a long, but fun filled day ahead of us, I hope you have a lovely, crafty weekend too :-)
Thanks for looking!
