Inspired by Orla

Good Morning!
It's not so sunny here today, which is never good, but even worse as we are having some friends over for a BBQ today :-( Hope it brightens up a bit or it could be oven cooked ;-)
But before I do the obligatory clean up then I thought I would pop on here and post this card, which today I am actually really pleased with. It is inspired by the mega talented Orla Keily who is just brilliant at the whole 70's retro chic homeware look, however, I took my inspiration from this little gift bag I spotted at a local garden centre of all places!
and here is my card, I used the Funky Four stamp set to make the background, which was made tons easier as I have it in clear mount ;-)
Colours used were; Early Espresso, Poppy parade, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Pink Pirouette,
I stamped the Curly Cute sentiment straight onto a piece of {retired} twill tape,
and a quick picture of the inside
Well, that's today's card, do let me know what you think.
I hope the sun shines for you today, whatever you are up to :-D

  3. Hi S-J love this card, thanks for sharing it with us. Love the colours you have chosen and stamping on the twill ribbon xx

  4. Great card and an innovative way to use the twill tape. Love the way you always decorate the inside of your cards too.

  5. wow sarah-jane, I had to really take a good look to see that you had made the background paper of this beauty! It looks identical to the gift bag!
