Crushed Curry Christmas Sweater Swap Card

Hello there,
Today I have a card, well 8 actually, that I made for swapping when I went to team training in Yorkshire a few weeks ago :-) As you *may* have noticed this Christmas Sweater set is a firm favourite of mine, so obviously I wanted to use it for my swaps and this is what I came up with...
I started by stamping the jumper in memento ink onto shimmer card and colouring using an aqua painter and my Crushed Curry ink pad.
I then added this lovely DSP (from the Christmas Around The World pack) to a layer of white card (the same size 10.3cm x 14.5cm) to give it extra stability and so I could pop up the larger layer.
I then die cut the stitched circle, leaving it large enough to fit the jumper on, before running a grey marker around all the edges (of both the paper layers and the jumpers too) to make them pop before adding the circle flat to the thick white card base.
TIP: To position the circle correctly - Lay the whole paper layer on the card front, remove the circle, add glue and adhere flat before removing the large layer to add the sentiment.
Then I stapled the ribbon to the larger paper layer, topping with a sentiment (from the same set) before adhering it to the base with foam tape. Add the sweater to the circle using dimensionals to finish...
Then repeat 8 times! Lol, I probably should have made something with less steps but I was happy with the end result and the swap ladies seemed to like them so that's all that matters, right?
Right, That's all for today, I'll be back tomorrow to start a Three day mini series showcasing the Wishes All Aglow stamp set. I do hope you can join me here?!

Christmas Circle Sweater Card

Hi there,
I have another "Christmas Sweater" card for you today and for a change I stamped the image onto crumb cake card before colouring it in and then combined it with some of the Christmas All Around DSP to make this card....
If I made this card again I think I would colour the image with white craft ink then coloured ink to make it pop a tad more. Overall I'm happy with how it looks though ;-)
And that vanilla and gold ribbon is so soft for tying bows!
So, I have my second all day christmas class today so there'll be lots of crafting going on here, are you making anything today?
Thanks for stopping by, back soon with another make!

Festive Tank Top using Christmas Sweaters by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
Today's card uses the Christmas Sweater stamps again and this time I chose the tank top/vest from the set which has an adorable summer snowman, maybe a sandman? But not in the sleepy sense of the word, lol. OK, I'm probably not making a lot of sense here, let's take a look at what I made instead....
I have an Aussie friend who will probably get this card from me this year, even though she lives in England now, I'm sure she will appreciate the Aus humor in this card.
I coloured the tank top using ink pads and blender pens as the image is quite detailed. I find the pens get into the very small areas better than an aqua painter. The sentiment was inked using my markers for this multi coloured look.
The snowflake used for the background is from the Hug in a Mug stamp set, stamped using versamark*, I'll share some cards using that set very soon, too! And the sentiment is from Labels of Love.
TIP: Use Versamark on any coloured card for a subtle, tone on tone effect.
Well, that's today card for you, what did you think?
I'll be back soon with more. 'Till then...

Using the Christmas Sweaters Stamps by SU!

Hello!
As promised I am here with the first of many cards using new products from the Autumn/Winter catalogue :-D
The first set I *had* to have was the Christmas Sweaters (and it's just £17.00 in clear mount!). You can find it on page 22 of the Autumn/Winter catalogueI want to share a card I made using the Santa jumper with you today...
I stamped the image onto shimmer card for easy watercolouring and used embossing paste for his beard.
TIP: Easily apply the paste to small areas, like this image, using a Q tip (cotton bud).
I also used the Smitten Mittens snowflake on the card base and a square of Year of Cheer DSP across the bottom!
Finished off with a "Ho, Ho, Ho" from Labels to Love stamps! I told you there was a lot of things to use in this catalogue, I thought I'd see how many I could get on one card, lol!
OK, that's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card :-)
