Lemon-Lime Twist and Navy Floral Wreath

Hi there,
I have a bright and breezy card for you today using the (sadly retired) stamp and die set "Picnic with You." I was sad to see that this set didn't carry over to the new catalogue but as I had made this card I thought you might like to see it anyway? I *may* even have another set of projects using this set to still share with you ;-)
So for this make I used a bright and breezy Lemon-Lime Twist and Night of Navy colour combo...
I loved how the leaves and flowers in this set made a lovely wreath but I'm sure you could recreate something very similar with many of the current sets...
I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder for the background and added a tiny strip of glimmer paper down the side. Gotta have some sparkle, right?
A few pearls and a white heat embossed sentiment finish this card for today.
So, I hope you enjoyed today's make? Maybe you even purchased this lovely set it before it retired? I'd love to see what you've made with it :-)
Thanks for looking today,

Picnic With You for Inspire. Create Challenge #11

Hello and welcome to another challenge with Inspire. Create.
This week is a sketch challenge (my personal favourite kickstarter) ...
And I have used a new set from the Spring/Summer catalogue called "Picnic Basket". My downline  actually won this stamp set at On Stage last November but we swapped winning stamp sets as we liked each others prize more! Such fun ;-)
So, this is it's inaugural inking! I really wanted to have a little play with the set and I do think it will come into its own when the weather warms up, just a teeny bit, so I decided to use it in a slightly less picnic-y way for this card, let's take a look....
I think I inadvertently made a Valentine kind of card, actually! *-*
I started by stamping three of the branches from the set flat, in a circle then stamped and die cut another three, all in Pear Pizzazz.
I just adhered just the centres of the branches for a 3d looking wreath before adding some stamped and die cut hearts from the same set in Berry Burst.
Sentiment is from Party Pandas and I couldn't resist adding a few sequins too ;-)
All supplies are at the end of this post but don't forget to hop over to the Inspire. Create. Blog to see what the other, very clever, ladies have made for this challenge. They always make amazing projects!
Thanks so much for looking today, I do hope you have a go at making a card with this sketch, it's a really fun challenge, sure to kick start your mojo :-)
