Watercolouring in Perfect Plum on Crumb Cake using Birthday Blooms by Stampin' Up!

Hello
Today I have another one of the cards we will be making at January's class using Birthday Blooms. I am loving designing this class using this fab stamp set and really wanted to used the whitewash technique on this card to make this simple but impactful card...
I stamped the large flower from the set in the corners then added a few small flowers either side of them to extend the image reach and heat embossed them all using silver powder.
Then, to colour, I used a blender pen (or a fairly dry aqua painter) to colour the image using white craft ink, dab excess ink away and dry using a heat tool or (leave for a few hours) then colour over using a clean blender pen; I used Perfect Plum and Mint Macaron for this card.
*If you'd like to see I made a photo tutorial HERE last year*
TIP: Keep one blender pen (or just one end) only for white craft ink as it doesn't clean off easily.
This sentiment is also from the set, Birthday Blooms.
Nice and flat for posting but still a special looking card. And yes, I was tempted to add ribbon but as you can see I resisted ;-)
 and a top view
January's Hostess code is running now :-)
For more info about hostess codes please go HERE.
And for more details on Sale-a-Bration (and my special offer) please visit HERE.
So, I hope you like todays card as much as I did designing and making it? Let me know in the comments :-)
Thanks for looking today,

NEW Sale-a-Bration Offer from Me! FREE Gorgeous Grunge Stamps and Much More!

Hello,
I hope you are enjoying the Sale-a-Bration and Spring/Summer catalogue offerings? I have been in my craft room this week designing for classes and on here and I just can't seem to get enough of them all! And I haven't even had a chance to play with everything I've ordered yet either - so many fun products, so little time....
So, I have been thinking I would offer a little bonus giveaway just for you, my blog readers and customers! As you (hopefully) know when you spend £45 on SU! product 'till the end of march you can choose a free item from the SaB catalogue.
So, what's my offer? Spend with me on either products or classes and for every £45 spent (in one transaction and before postage) I will add one ticket into the draw OR take advantage of the fab joining offer during SaB (Join SU! with me for £99 and choose £160 worth of products) and get 10 tickets in the draw! Whoop!
(And don't worry, I'm back dating this to the start of SaB so you're already in there if you've ordered :-))
What can you win? Well I have here, all ready to post as soon as the end of March comes, this prize which so far includes just a few of my favourite things: "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set in wood, "Sky Is The Limit" stamps in clear, a Whole Roll of Cucumber Crush Lace Ribbon and a selection of Embellishments.
But that's not all! Every time I reach a £500 milestone in collective orders and classes I'll add more to this pot! So, please tell all your friends and we can share the SU! love together and make this an even bigger prize!!
Just to add: This is on top of my Monthly club code giveaway and valid for every order placed with me but......
*Please Note: If you don't uncheck the "no contact" box I cannot, by law, get in touch with you, so please, please uncheck that box!
And here's the code for this month too, it's just free product on top of free product here today :-)
OK, so I'll be back tomorrow with a new card to share with you, I have soo many ;-)
Thanks for looking today,

FREE Tutorial to make Money Wallets Using Stampin' Up's Envelope Liner Dies

Hello,
I'm here today with a quick and easy little tutorial for you sharing a cute way to use your envelope liners dies (did you buy these thinking "Fab!" and have never used them for envelopes? Yup, me too!), which you can team with any DSP to make these cute Money Wallets for gifting cash (or other small items, of course).
As you can see the tutorial shows Christmas DSP as I originally made these at Christmas and I took the photos while I was making them, but as you can see below they work in any DSP, and could be used for gifting at any occasion! They are perfect for gifting money in a way that is just a step up from simply popping it in a card :-)
So, lets start with the finished Money Wallet made using Birthday Bouquet DSP...
I used the cute ice-cream cones pattern and the sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.
OK, so to make them all you need is the Envelope Liner Dies and Designer Series Paper of your choosing.
I cut the DSP to 23cm (9") x 8.5cm (3+3/8")
Fold in half at 11.5cm (4.5")
Then die cut ensuring you do not cut the crease (see photo)
After cutting, unfolded, it should look like this...
Make sure that the pattern will be the correct way up and fold one end over to make the flap which will be at the front of the wallet.
Flip over and add tape down both sides along the square body only
Secure the flap down with a glue dot if desired and add a ribbon bow to finish.
Tah Dah! A quick, easy and cute way to gift money!
and the Birthday design again to finish today :-)
Thanks for looking today, here's this months order code for an extra freebie from me in February.
Decembers gifts are going in the post tomorrow and if you'd like me to send you a spring/summer catalogue then please drop me a line and I'll post it on whilst I'm out :-)
Thanks for looking!

CAS Card using Party Wishes and Sale-a-Bration 2016 set Hello by Stampin' Up!

Good morning,
Apologies for missing a post yesterday, I was dealing with legal letters and other such boring necessities but I'm back with a crafty blog post today :-) whilst hoping to spend some time in my craft room, instead of looking longingly through the door from the kitchen.....
So, this card is another I shared a sneak peek of on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter recently using the new Party Wishes stamp set teamed with Hello (SAB 2106) and, perhaps surprisingly, Botanical Blooms...
So, I stamped the cake using Melon Mambo straight onto thick white card and added the tiny Night of Navy flowers from Botanical Blooms over the solid cake finishing with white gel pen spots to the centres. I then coloured all over the cake with the wonderful clear Wink of Stella pen and topped the cake with heat embossed gold candles.
TIP: To ensure your flowers are stamped right to the edges of the cake, mask around the outside using a couple of post it notes.
This sentiment is from the SAB set "Hello" and heat embossed in gold, again.
I just LOVE this set, the sentiments are fab! But this set is only available 'till the 15th February so choose this one early...
 Gold Satin ribbon*sigh*
and one more photo form the top to finish today.
Thanks for looking today, I hope you enjoyed the card? I'm off to make some more....
