Stampin' Up's Merry Mice, Two Ways and 25% off during November!

Hello!
I have two new cards today using the lovely Merry Mice. I have loved colouring these little guys and they're in the 25% off selection for November too! Just £11.25 in clear mount!
These cards are more that we made in my All Day Christmas Class a couple of weeks ago (You can see yesterday's post HERE and I will link all the cards from this class there so more will show as the time goes on :-))
OK, So here are both the cards together first....
I heat embossed this branch holding fellow in Smoky Slate (retired) and teamed him with Flirty Flamingo Card base and layers.
He was stamped onto watercolour paper for easy water colouring with ink pads and an aqua painter.
I coloured this guys face (hands and feet) in using Crumb Cake - a field mouse perhaps??
And more of that fabulous Cable Knit Embossing Folder.
This guy was heat embossed in silver powder, it does make the colouring that bit easier and so a good option if you are nervous about colouring in :-)
I coloured this mouse's face using Smoky Slate - A regular kinda mouse maybe??
And I added a couple of banners with a bell to the top for a little jingle in the post ;-)
Well, that's all for today, I hope you have enjoyed todays pair of merry mice cards?
Don't forget to celebrate the launch of the new stitch edge dies they are 25% off along with all these stamps during November...
I'll be back tomorrow for another couple of cards.

Two Ways With Merry Tags by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
I'm back after a wonderful weekend away with my fellow SU! demonstrator friends in Telford where we had a fabulous catch up and found out all the new and exciting things happening in the SU! world including a preview of the many lovely things in the catalogues coming in January! But, for me it's still all about Christmas and I still have a ton of Christmas cards to share with you!
So, I'm going to start to share the cards from my all day classes a couple of weeks ago where we made three each of seven different cards.
I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to design two versions of each card which turned out to be a little more work than we had time for in class so the ladies had to really work hard at this class! Sorry about that, sort of.... lol.
Everyone received in their kit the following...
Plus a selection of Mini Jingle Bells, Mini Pinecones and a few Christmas Trinkets so you'll see these scattered on the cards I share with you over the next week or so.
So, with this first card I designed this version which is perfect for hand delivering as there is one of the lovely charms at the top and we added dimensionals between the glitter tag layers to make them pop...
These charms are quite heavy and so there are a few things that you can do to help hold them in place.  You can see my TIPS VIDEO HERE.
This sentiment works perfectly on this card with it's staggered look, it's from the Star Of Light stamps.
And here is a second version which I kept flat (you may have noticed I don't do many flat fronted cards!) for posting.
Love these tags dies and this mini deer one is my favourite of all of them!
TIP: When die cutting these tags from glimmer paper use the precision plate and run it through the big shot a couple of times to ensure it cuts through the thick glitter card.
Add a few of the lovely gold enamel shapes and that's it done!
And that's all for today :-)

A Luminaire using Warmth and Cheer DSP and Santa's Sleigh Dies by SU! for the Jems Blog Hop.

Hello and welcome!
Today is the regular, monthly Jems blog hop day and the theme this month is "Christmas Decorations"
And my project today as a v-e-r-y general interpretation of this theme ;-)
So, I was having a little play around with the 6"x6" papers from the Warmth and Cheer DSP pad when I was designing the cards for class last week and made this little Lumiere from just 2 sheets of the paper and the Santa's Sleigh dies...
I simply added a little electric candle or two inside.
Gold clips hold the lumiere closed, tied with a little ribbon, of course.
I used the negative from the die to create the image so I now have extra die cuts to make some more cards with ;-)
And I also made a little video for you sharing the measurements and a few little tips too but I'm afraid it's taking an age to upload as I'm away for the weekend at SU! On Stage ;-)
Hopefully it will be live soon....
Well, I hope you enjoyed todays project, you can now continue the hop to the lovely Sarah's blog blog where I'm sure the projects will wow you! Or you can  hop back to the lovely Sharon's blog to see her project :-)

Thanks for looking today :-)

Attempting No Line Watercolouring with Merry Mice by Stampin' Up! Plus NEW Stitched Edge Framelits and 25% off Selected Stamps!

Hello!
I have a ton of things to share today including this super fun card, the launch of NEW Stitched Edge Dies! YAY!!! And 25% off selected stamps! Phew, do scroll down to see all the info!
So,  I made this card a couple of weeks back now, using the Merry Mice stamps (they are so cute) and I teamed it with the fabby Tin of Tags stamps...
and they are BOTH on offer this month too! To celebrate the launch of the fabulous NEW Stitched Edge Framelits...
...SU! have reduced selected stamp sets by 25%
So,  I tried my hand at "no line watercolouring" for the first time which I (obviously) need to practice a bit more but I had a lot of fun doing this ;-) Take a look and see what you think...
I stamped this cute carolling mouse using Sahara Sand onto watercolour paper before colouring with my ink pads and an aqua painter.
I love these trinkets so decided to add on onto the gold thread on here, but they are actually really heavy so there are a few tips to securing them...
...and so I made a video to share the tips with you today!
(which I uploaded yesterday, then decided to save this blog post 'till today ;-))
This lovely sentiment is from the Tin of Tags sentiment set, it's a fab little set this one! And it's in the sale too...
Well, It's been a funny day here trying to decide which card to post but hopefully you have enjoyed this one? I'll be back tomorrow with the first of seven days of my All day Christmas Class cards. Hope you can pop back then?
Thanks for looking today,
