Bubble Over for Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello!
And it's time again for another challenge with Inspire. Create. Challenges.
We really hope you are finding these challenges a great push off point for creating something each fortnight, I love a good challenge and often when I have "lost my mojo" I turn to a challenge to just get me started. We'd love if you gave it a go too.
OK, so for week #18 we have a theme challenge...
Now, I'll be 100% honest (as always) and say I was not too sure what to make with this theme. I was thinking about it while I was at work the other evening and when I got home I remembered I had used this set during the day for a commission and it was a complete lightbulb moment and well,  it all just came together really easily after that! I'm super pleased with the retro, beer garden feel of this card!
I used Daffodil Delight and a little of the the new colour Grapefruit Grove (available now in the "Share What You Love" early release) to create this starburst effect...
I added wink of stella to the bottles at the very end of making this card, after sponging and stamping bubbles on them already. But, again being totally honest, I would probably not do this if I made this card again. It looked better before *-* although I don't think it looks so bad that I had to remake it.
Please also note that this Bottles and Bubbles is carrying over into the new catalogue (yay) but not as a bundle. So, if you'd like to take advantage of the extra 10% off (making it just £36 for both the stamps and dies) then please order before the end of May.
I used some of my champagne foil paper to make the bottle tops, both on the bottles and at the bottom of the card.
So, if you'd like some more "sunshine" inspiration then please do head over to the ICC blog HERE and see what creative ideas the other DT members have to share.
We hope you have a go at this challenge and share your makes with us on the blog :-)
Thanks for looking here today!

"A Little Wild" Lion

Hello there,
I was totally going to blog this card yesterday but, as I mentioned yesterday morning on my social media, my hubby and I took a last minute trip to London to the Grand designs show! It was a real last minute decision and such a fun thing to do :-)
Anyway, I have made about a million cards this week, sadly I can't share most of them with you here as they were either for magazine commissions or getting ready to share with you here, but later in the week *-*
This card however, was from my last blends class a few weeks ago and we made a real mixed bag of card styles at the class. This is the a clean and simple card using the "A Little Wild" stamps and dies, it's not just for tags, right?
Can't beat a stitched square and the vines are included in the A Little Wild die set, such a great addition to the die set and perfect for backgrounds.
I thought I'd share my colouring for this little lion. I didn't want a really bright yellow for him so I started with light crumb cake which just toned down the colour for his body...
I've left it without a sentiment for now so it can be flexible for when I next need a card, perhaps even just for a little note. I am actually trying to do that a bit more when I make cards so hopefully I have a card at the ready for many occasions. Do you always put a sentiment on a card?
So, that's all for today, I hope you enjoyed today's card?
I have a long list of things to get done today, the highlight of which will be getting ready for tomorrow's card class which will be after the, not so exciting, housework ;-)
But I should be back tomorrow with another card for you.
Till then, happy stamping!

Making Tags for Gift Bags

Happy bank holiday Monday to you!
Honestly, we went out yesterday and it was just lovely, so hot and more like the height of summer than May, but I reminded hubby and the smallest child we had gone out the Sunday before and all wished we'd taken coats! It's a funny old thing the British weather, no wonder we have such a national obsession with talking about it ;-)
Anyhoo, I was browsing through to decide what to post this morning and I realised I didn't share these gift tags with you yet. I made two designs when we went to On Stage in Telford in April, one style to give to my downline and also one for Julie who organises our food each time we go away :-)
I'll start with my DL gift bags, they were decorated using both A Good Day and Tabs For Everything stamp sets...
Tags made with some of that lovely SaB paper, layered with a matching copper foil and thread topper with sentiments and image from "A Good Day"
I added in pens and post it note tabs for remembering where all those essential pages of the new catalogue with your new favourites on ;-) But, how cute are these little characters?
And of course, I also added chocolate!
So, for Julie's gift bag (containing choccy too ;-)) I used a Rose Red colour combo to match the bag, teamed with the Wood Words stamp set - Love Wood Words <3 nbsp="" p="">
Isn't Rose Red with gold just so classy and elegant? I will be sad when this colour retires at the end of May but happily the Wood Words stamp set is staying *so happy*
Well, this started out as a quick post but then as I added the second set of tags it took me much longer than I hoped, so sorry it's a bit later than planned before I published ;-)
I hope you have a lovely day in the sun on this long weekend,
Happy Stampin'

Bird Banter and Stampin' Blends

Hello there,
Today's card is another Bird Banter make (and I have more!) I seem to be using this set all the time at the moment, I just want to use it as much as possible before it retires at the end of the month. Sad times.
We coloured this lovely "Just Add Ink" DSP at the first blends class and I made this card just after the last blends class so it has come full circle :-) Let's take a peek...
I coloured the bird with my blends too (hopefully they'll be available to order again soon) but they are also great to colour with your aqua painter and ink pads. Just stamp onto thick white card or shimmer card, instead of regular white which is best for blends.
I added this cute little sentiment from the Totally Tabs stamp set
Here is that DSP a little closer. We all loved using this to practice our colouring at class. I gave the ladies who came a different pattern (or two) at each class, either to use in class or take home and practice. They all seemed to enjoy colouring  it too :-)
Bling up with some fun glimmer card and that's it!
Plus, I still have more of this lovely coloured paper left, winner!
So, I do hope you are having a lovely bank holiday weekend? We are off out in the sunshine for a bit today but I will be back tomorrow with another make.
'Till then, Happy Stampin'
