Making Tags for Gift Bags

Happy bank holiday Monday to you!
Honestly, we went out yesterday and it was just lovely, so hot and more like the height of summer than May, but I reminded hubby and the smallest child we had gone out the Sunday before and all wished we'd taken coats! It's a funny old thing the British weather, no wonder we have such a national obsession with talking about it ;-)
Anyhoo, I was browsing through to decide what to post this morning and I realised I didn't share these gift tags with you yet. I made two designs when we went to On Stage in Telford in April, one style to give to my downline and also one for Julie who organises our food each time we go away :-)
I'll start with my DL gift bags, they were decorated using both A Good Day and Tabs For Everything stamp sets...
Tags made with some of that lovely SaB paper, layered with a matching copper foil and thread topper with sentiments and image from "A Good Day"
I added in pens and post it note tabs for remembering where all those essential pages of the new catalogue with your new favourites on ;-) But, how cute are these little characters?
And of course, I also added chocolate!
So, for Julie's gift bag (containing choccy too ;-)) I used a Rose Red colour combo to match the bag, teamed with the Wood Words stamp set - Love Wood Words <3 nbsp="" p="">
Isn't Rose Red with gold just so classy and elegant? I will be sad when this colour retires at the end of May but happily the Wood Words stamp set is staying *so happy*
Well, this started out as a quick post but then as I added the second set of tags it took me much longer than I hoped, so sorry it's a bit later than planned before I published ;-)
I hope you have a lovely day in the sun on this long weekend,
Happy Stampin'

Travelling Gifts for on the way to Stampin' Up! Convention in Brussels 2014

Good morning!
Today I'm going to have a day in my craft room designing for my Frame Class in December. I'm excited to play with the Under the Tree DSP and make it into a festive 3d frame. I promised the ladies plenty of ideas to CASE when they come so I have a lot to do!
BTW: I'll be updating you with my progress on Instagram and Facebook if you want to follow me and find out what I'm up to as the day goes on ;-)
I'm going to skip a day today about Brussels (kinda) and share with you the gifts I made for the three ladies I travelled with on the Eurostar. I wanted to make a little gift pack of things we might need (and some things we might just want of course) during our time away and came up with these..

Inside were wet wipes, hand sanitiser, tissues, gum, mints, hand cream, chocolate plus
this cute nail file I found! I think that was all??
I made these little tags with the Tag Topper Punch and the Under the Tree DSP. This paper is perfect for tags as it's more like card and it's that yummy Kraft colour too ;-)
I used the Spiral Flower Die to make the flower and sat it on a punched Pansy as they look a little bare sat on their own. The sentiment is from Chalk Talk and was stamped in Versamark then heat embossed with white embossing powder
And I topped the bag with a lovely Island Indigo chevron ribbon bow.
Yep, I do love my bows ;-)
 All together again to finish
OK. I'm off to play, ahem, work!
Thanks for looking today, I hope you liked it!

More Jems Birthdays :-)

Boy, July is one busy birthday month with those Jems! I have a birthday card for Lisa to show you today, it was her birthday yesterday so I should be fine to share this with you today.
I decided to use the super cute Level 2 stamp set (FREE that means) 'Cute by the Inch'
I love the cupcake image in this set which I inked here using the markers to get the two colours and then punched out using the Tag Punches,
and look at this scrummy ribbon rose, I made a very similar one for techniques class last month but the lovely Jo D came up with an even simpler way of making them, her tutorial is HERE,
I put the bottom strip through the crimper and spritzed it with shimmer spray before adhering,
and a little decoration inside with the Eyelet Border punch and the crimper again,
O.K. that's today's post for you. It's the first full day of the holidays today so I am hoping the kids want a PJ day as I have still got a list as long as your arm ;-)
Before I go please don't forget the July special finishes soon.
And also please email me now to reserve your place at my August class, more pictures and details HERE.
I look forward to hearing from you soon :-D
Thanks for visiting me today,

A Brilliant Day!

Hello there!
Well, what a fantastic charity card class it was on Saturday! First of all I would like to say a MASSIVE thank-you to all the ladies who attended, I am so grateful for their continued support.
Everyone who came seemed to really enjoy the day, helped along by simple but effective cards all cut and ready (despite the crisis about 20 minutes before the class started, in fact DH was stood on the table with just a towel around him when the lovely Eunice arrived, I had to delay her coming in for the sake of his blushes!!) and not forgetting the cupcakes. So, here was the table on Friday night all ready to go..
I will be offering this class as a PDF in the next week or so, just got to type up measurements for you ;-)
I made a small thank-you for the ladies, a couple of metres of scrummy SU! ribbon, complete with a personalised tag made using the Timeless Type Sizzix Alphabet and both Tag Punches,
and we had 5 fab raffle prizes too, another thanks to Cate for her generous donation too x
and the most important bit... cup cakes, now I was a little nervous as I decided to try a new recipe for these, probably not that sensible the day before and important class! but they tasted yummy! I will be making more for sure, not that it will help with the diet ;-)
I topped them with edible glitter and cake picks to match these cards all using the Strength and Hope stamp set
and a couple of "action shots" ;-)

Well, if you like the look of this then why not join us for my next class? I am running this months calss on the 16th, 18th and 19th July and it's the Owl Punch class this month, more details under Card Classes along the top banner or click HERE.We would love you to join us:-)
Thanks to you for stopping by today, I am off out again today for more birthday fun ;-)
