Easy Ombre Card with Beautiful Blizzard by SU!

Hi there!
I have a card from class to share with you today that I totally love!
Plus, this was a super easy card to make! Winning :-)
I used Night Of Navy ink at the top and built up the colour using a sponge brayer on white shimmer card before adding Tranquil Tide at the bottom to create the ombre effect. Then we dropped water onto the inked piece and dabbed it away before adding a sprinkle of shimmer paint onto the coloured card layer.

I adore the impact these two colours make together and even though they are not necessarily traditional Christmas colours I think with the gold snowflakes they work well...
Top with some gold glitter snowflakes and a sentiment and that's it!
This card was really popular at class and my ladies were all surprised how easy it was to make.
I plan on recreating this card with a spring feel to it, what do you think?
Anyway, that's all from me for today, I'll be back soon with more Christmas creations.
'Till then, happy stampin'

Stretch Your Christmas Supplies with Beautiful Blizzard by Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome!
I have the third set, and last, from my "Stretch your supplies" class for you today and I used a couple of different stamp sets again but kept with a super #simplestamping one layer design. So quick and easy to create, especially in multiples or in a hurry ;-)
*EDIT: TO SEE ALL THE OTHER CARDS IN THIS SERIES, GO HERE*
I used the super gorgeous gold edged cards from the Autumn/winter catty (links at the end of the post) as they are just such a great starting point for any card really, lets see...
So, I'll chat about the Christmas version first today.
I started by stamping the "splodge" from Beautiful Blizzard twice using Blushing Bride ink.
And then adding snowflakes from the same set using Merry Merlot ink.
Stamp the sentimetn on an offcut of white card and finish with a few sequins and it's as simple as that! And even the envelopes have gold trim!
So for the non-Christmas make I stamped the same splodge on another gold edges card.
And I topped this version with a heart and stars images from the Little Twinkle stamp set. The sentiment is from another Christmas set "Spirited Snowmen" and as you can see it can also be used all year round too ;-)
And once more together again today.
So, I do hope you take a second look at your "Christmas" stamps again after seeing my ideas this last few days, if you would like to see all the cards together then here's A LINK to see all six cards in this mini series.
I'd love to know what you think (in the comments) or of course feel free to share your creations, Christmas or otherwise,  on my Craft with Cards and a Cuppa Facebook page, HERE.
Thanks for looking today and I'll be back soon with more crafty creations!
Happy stamping :-)

Beautiful Blizzard for an Inspire. Create Challenge Sketch

Hello!
And welcome to this weeks Inspire.Create challenge. This week it's my favourite kind of challenge, a fabulous sketch, let's see...
I was looking at the background splodge shape in the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and I realised it would work as a heart shape for this sketch if I stamped it twice!
I then overstamped the heart with a layer of snowflakes in night of navy before adding a heat embossed sentiment.
TIP: Try to use an embossing buddy before heat embossing, it really does stop the bits from sticking where they aren't supposed to!
Layer the image at the sides, keeping it the same height as the card (as per the sketch) and finish with a few rhinestones.
So, that's my attempt at this weeks sketch! Why not join in the fun? It's great for kick starting your mojo! For much more inspiration head over to the Challenge Blog HERE and see what the rest of the DT have made :-)
Thanks so much for looking today!
