These are a few of my favourite things!

Hello and welcome to today's post and today is a Jems Blog Hop day, yay!
This month we are each choosing our favourite project(s) or product(s) from 2016 and there's tons of fabulous inspiration from my Jems team mates along the way.
Do have a hop around, hopping links are at the end of this post :-)
So, as the title suggests today I had a blast looking back over my projects from this year and picking three that I loved making in 2016, although picking just three was sooooooo hard for me! I have had such fun with so many fabulous stamp set this year! Anyway, I did manage to narrow it down and the first one I chose was my Ombre Effect with Floral Thinlits overlay.
VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE
And I do love this little cactus from Birthday Fiesta, it was such fun giving him a personality with googly eyes and I even made him a sombrero using the dies in the set!
And finally, I really loved this VW Beetle stamp set from way back in January! Sadly this stamp set is retired now but watch this space as I have plans for recreating this card with a new stamp set coming in January ;-)
This VIDEO making Shaker Cards without Dies has been my most popular ever over on my YouTube channel.
So, I do hope you have enjoyed this quick look back over 2016?
Please, HOP FORWARD to Lindas blog for more inspiration or you can
HOP BACK to the ever talented Amanda to see her favourites!

A #snapchat inspired #flowercrown #cactus Card using Birthday Fiesta by SU!

Hello,
So today I have a fun card using Birthday Fiesta which was totally inspired by the #flowercrown filter that everyone (except me!) is using on #snapchat. Mostly I'm not using it because I don't have snapchat! But all the really cool kids are ;-))))
Any-way- let's move away from how uncool I am take a look at the card shall we?
I used the googly eyes again and added a mouth using the tiny heart from the Layering Love stamp set.
The sentiment is also from the Birthday Fiesta stamp set and I used Flirty Flamingo with Smoky Slate as a colour combination.
The lovely slate colored heart paper is from the "A Little Foxy" paper pad.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed todays "cool" card? Let me know in the comments ;-)
Thanks for looking and I'll be back tomorrow with more,

Llama Love Card using Birthday Fiesta stamps by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
Today's card is a llama card in a Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay colour combo for a fun, party-style card! Take a peek...
I used the baby wipe technique (for a video tutorial please see HERE) for the rug and tucked a little strip of pompom trim under for a bit of a fun twist.
I used the same baby wipe ink pad for the sentiment which is from the hostess set Pun Intended.
Die cut streamers in matching colours
I die cut the llama too before popping him up on dimensionals.
OK, that's all from me for today, I'll be back tomorrow with more! Thanks so much for looking today :-)
