Needle and Thread Shaker Card

Hello!
Yesterday I realised I literally have so much to share with you that I simply *have* to get my behind into gear and blog some of my makes - so here I am! Lol!
I really love this little card, it's a shaker card (something I haven't made one of for ages) but it's a flatter version using vellum and the fab-u-lous stitched rectangle dies, I have already used these so much!
I added a stack of the flowers from the Needle and Thread stamp set in the corner of the frame.
TIP: To get a great image with these clever distinktive stamps you need a light covering of ink on them. Simply press the ink back into your pad (using a bone folder or the back of a spoon) before inking the stamp like usual.
I chose vellum for this shaker front so I could use the stitched effect background die from the Needlepoint dies (available in the Needle and Thread bundle, saving 10%) on it. It's so pretty IRL and I do hope you can see it here.
I used some (retired) sequin and pearl mix from my stash. They are small and mostly flat so perfect for this style of flatter shaker - you could use some of the current iridescent sequins though.
I added a twist of old olive twine, which I can't seem to get enough of either right now, it just seems to work perfectly on everything!
OK, so that's all from me for today and I'll definitely be back tomorrow with another of my many makes!
Thanks for looking today :-)

Cool Treats Shaker Card

Hi!
So today is the very last day for THIS catalogue! That's super exciting for the new catalogue but I must just say I always get requests for stuff that has retired after it's gone so please do have a quick look in my SHOP today before it all goes forever :-D
Talking of new catalogues, I do still have some of the fabulous, shiny new catalogues available to post out for just £3 (to cover the postage costs.) If you don't already have a demo then please do get in touch and I'll be happy to help you.
OK, let's get to seeing this card shall we? These super cute "Cool Treats" ice cream stamps and dies are leaving us this evening so I took the opportunity to use them at class last week and I decided to make a shaker card as I haven't made one of these for a while either! So fun!
I used different coloured card behind each ice cream for a little extra interest.
The colours in this card are a game of highs and lows - the Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky are leaving us tonight, Boo! But the mini Macaron is coming back tomorrow! Yay!
These mini sequins (retired) are so cute!
I love the foam strips for making shaker cards, so quick and they really do go a long way.
Well, that's all for today. Tomorrow I'll have all the links to see the fab-u-lous new catalogue so do come here first thing to see!
Back tomorrow with all the fun, new stuff!
Be here or be square... or something like that ;-)

Saints Football Shaker Card for a Teenage Boy

Hi there,
Today's card is one I made for my friends football mad son recent birthday! I use this (retired) football (soccer) set just about every year for his card and this year I went with a shaker card...
I added some stamped footballs and mini sequin stars to the shaker part
TIP: When using stamped images in a shaker card add a dimensional to the back of a couple of footballs (in this case) and two layered dimensionals to the rear of another couple of images so they don't all stick and stack up together in the shaker!
I used "Work Of Art" to make the "saints" stripes by heat embossing them in white.
Inside the card had a little decoration too.
And one last look for today :-)
I still love a shaker card, don't you?
Thanks for looking today,

Tasty Trucks Shaker Card without dies!

Hello!
I've a new take on a previous card for you today. Last year I made a fun shaker card (I still love a good shaker!) without the use of dies. Granted, it's slightly quicker if you have dies but if you have a great stamp set that doesn't come with them you can still make a shaker, see....
You can get this fun truck stamp set FREE during Sale-a-Bration 2017, spend £45 and choose an item from the SaB catalogue and there are no limits to how many you can earn!

Love the Cupcakes and Carousels suite.
And this sentiment is also in the FREE stamp set - Tasty Trucks.
And to see how to make the Shaker Card without dies please see THIS TUTORIAL.
Right, that's all from me for today, thansk for stopping by!

These are a few of my favourite things!

Hello and welcome to today's post and today is a Jems Blog Hop day, yay!
This month we are each choosing our favourite project(s) or product(s) from 2016 and there's tons of fabulous inspiration from my Jems team mates along the way.
Do have a hop around, hopping links are at the end of this post :-)
So, as the title suggests today I had a blast looking back over my projects from this year and picking three that I loved making in 2016, although picking just three was sooooooo hard for me! I have had such fun with so many fabulous stamp set this year! Anyway, I did manage to narrow it down and the first one I chose was my Ombre Effect with Floral Thinlits overlay.
VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE
And I do love this little cactus from Birthday Fiesta, it was such fun giving him a personality with googly eyes and I even made him a sombrero using the dies in the set!
And finally, I really loved this VW Beetle stamp set from way back in January! Sadly this stamp set is retired now but watch this space as I have plans for recreating this card with a new stamp set coming in January ;-)
This VIDEO making Shaker Cards without Dies has been my most popular ever over on my YouTube channel.
So, I do hope you have enjoyed this quick look back over 2016?
Please, HOP FORWARD to Lindas blog for more inspiration or you can
HOP BACK to the ever talented Amanda to see her favourites!
