Blue Ribbon birthday girl

Hello there!
I'm back from my weekend away with hubby to visit Jules and celebrate with her for her 40th birthday!
We had a fantastic weekend and the weather was simply amazing, we visited all around the area and had a generally lovely time.
So, this is the second card I made for Ross and Evan (Julies sons) to give to Jules.
I used a pretty combo of Pink Pirouette and Pool Party with the Blue Ribbon rosette..
Plenty of layering going on for this card ;-)
this white organza ribbon makes lovely bows and I added a giant rhinestone in the centre too
and inside I stamped the images off onto scrap paper giving a much paler image
OK, I have much to complete today (as usual!) so will be off.
I will definitely be back tomorrow with one of the (very many) cards I have to share with you!

Memorable Moments with Everything Eleanor for a 40th card

Hello there today!
I am going to make this a super quick post with plenty of pics and not so much chatter as we have sooo much to do this am!!
I was recently asked by my friends husband to make a card for her 40th birthday and of course I said yes!
I made this card using Memorable moments and For my family (retired) in new colours of Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Sky *adore* with Sahara Sand as a base ;-)
the Memorable Moments sentiment set matches the framelits,
some 3d flowers in the new cantaloupe, it's a beautiful pale coral colour, I can see this will be a firm favourite!
 new "very vintage" buttons
and a (blurry, sorry) inside picture
Right, I hope you liked today's card, I have run out of time to schedule any more posts so I will be back on Monday with an update on my weekend and some more cardy stuff of course!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Worlds Greatest and For My Family

Hello there,
I have the card I made for my FIL for Fathers day to share with you today, I seem to have slipped up and forgot to post this with you sooner! Ooopsie ;-)
I decided to make a tent topper card, which is one I haven't made in a while.
The DSP is from World Spectacular with the Worlds Greatest single stamp and the ever useful For My Family. All of which are retiring at the end of the month. If you "need" to add these stamps to your collection then please take a look HERE to check availability of the retiring stamps (currently both sets are available) and then please message me to place an order before they sell out :-)
This ribbon is also retiring and will be un-available to purchase after the 1st July too, see all retiring accessories HERE. There are a few bargains in there too including 25% off this ribbon...
You can see I stamped first the word "Greatest" separately and scrunched and inked for texture; with the "Worlds" and swirls stamped in Navy and mounted on foam pads for another bit of contrast.
I also stamped a few of the clockworks images around the edges of the Apothecary Accents Framelits panel before adding the Dad decorated with the Vintage Trinkets button effect brads
Right, much to do today as usual so I'll be off but seeing you again soon ;-)))
Thanks, as ever for visiting today,

Hearts a Flutter Bundle

Hello there,
I have a whole heap of cards to share with you today, so please be warned, super long post with ooodles of pictures! Grab a cuppa and enjoy.
I was recently asked by my upline Julie to make a selection of cards using a product from the Spring/Summer catalogue and I chose the Hearts a Flutter bundle! I am loving this set with it's matching framelits but I hadn't seen it around the web too much, so I got to work and had a play.
This is what I came up with...

I will share three in close up with you today, saving the other two for tomorrow! I love the colours of this card, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple
the middle heart is backed with Patio Party DSP, with the other hearts being stamps from the set. Sliver glimmer paper hearts punched with the small heart punch are in between and the very lovely honeycomb embossing folder was used too
Summer Starfruit ribbon with a vintage faceted button (again) in the centre
So, for the second card today I wanted to make a man's card, the set doesn't immediately shout men's cards but I think this is just perfect for those guys in your life,
just change out the "Dad" (from For My Family) to personalise it for whoever you like ;-)
"Worlds Greatest" was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
the mini button brads above and this mini safety pin are from the Vintage Trinket pots, tied here with a bit of Midnight muse ribbon, but not too much so as it's "girly"!
and you can see the curl and spritz that I gave the banners here
Now, this is the last close up for today  ;-)
This card was made using just the small heart die from the Hearts a Flutter set and Comfort Cafe DSP.
I die cut 3 layers of each of the 6 papers shown here, inked the edges of each heart in Crumb Cake and layered them with just a tiny bit of glue in the centres,
then I stamped the background with Versamark ink using the hearts from the Confetti stamp set, adhered the hearts fully to the card front and sewed straight(ish) down the centres with Navy thread
More Midnight Muse ribbon, I'm on a bit of a Midnight Muse roll today it would seem!
and finally a shot of the depth, luckily this would fold fairly flat for posting although it would surely be a large letter with the ribbon knot too, but at least it wouldn't need a box!
Right, I hope you have enjoyed today's post and if you are reading this bit then at least you haven't fallen asleep with all the pics! ha ha!
Back tomorrow with the other two cards from this set to share with you
Thanks for visiting today

Sweet 16 with Memorable Moments by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
it was my friends daughters birthday last week  and she asked me to make her a card with 16 and daughter on it. I immediately thought of the new Memorable Moments stamps set, I have used this a few times already! It's a great modern font and I really hope they bring out an alphabet to match soon!! ;-) I used a modern colour combo of Summer Starfruit (LOVE!) and Baja Breeze, pretty but grown up...
I used Patio Party paper for this card, it has smaller patterns perfectly sized for cards.
This paper is available in THIS SHARE HERE, message me to get your paper share today :-)
I also used framelits to die cut the frame and the wonderful chevron embossing folder, "daughter" stamp is from the very useful For My Family stamp set.
New butterfly punch and vintage faceted buttons, love these! A Lot!
I made small scrunched flowers with the Boho Blossom punch and shimmer paint mixed with alcohol
and an arty angle shows just how deep this card is
and a bit of decoration inside
So, as it was deep I decorated this box to send the card using framelits and more of the DSP
 and finally both together
Well, today's post was a bit picture heave so I hope you managed to stick with it OK?
Thanks as ever for stopping by today

Father's Day/Men's Class Cards Close Look!

Hello there,
As I promised I am back today with a much closer look at last weeks class, we made 3 Men's/Father's Day cards which all went down really well with al the ladies who made them :-) And if you have still to make your Father's day card (you better get on with it! ;-) ) erm, I mean I hope these inspire you, ha ha!
So, we made a little origami shirt, if you would like to make one then just Google Origami Shirts for hundreds of tutorials! Background uses Trendy Trees with versamark. I love Grey and Limeade together at the moment, in fact my lounge is these colours!
Mini brads are used for the buttons on the shirt
Next up was a shirt card, this ribbon is just the perfect size for the tie don't you think? Dad is from the brill For My Family set and we heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder to make it stand out.
a simple sentiment inside
And finally a punch art Golfing card to finish, I love that we now have clouds from Up, Up and Away for this card as well as this sentiment which is from there too.
Pennant punch flag flapping in the breeze ;-)
If you would like to come along to the next class then please email me to book a spot, we are using the lovely Mixed Bunch stamp set with it's fab matching punch. More pics and details to follow tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting today and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
