Southern Belles Get Together

Hello,
This last Saturday some of my lovely team came over for a pre-Christmas get together. We talked and laughed about all things SU! and more. I had a lovely time and I think, so did they ;-)
We also did some crafting and made these 2 cards that could be shared at a workshop, the original version and a stepped up one with more product. We used the Friendship Preserves stamp set in a Baja Breeze and Summer Starfruit colour combo,
Using the rock and roll technique for the main image with Vintage Faceted Buttons and Summer Starfruit ribbon on the stepped up version, we also spritzed the card front with Vanilla Smooch Spritz but it hasn't shown up on the pic here very well, soz ;-)
and we also made a 3d Christmas ornament in a choice of colours, here is the Real Red version with Wild Wasabi ribbon,
Pink Pirouette version with Rich Razzleberry stitched ribbon
and my favourite the Pool Party version with Night of Navy co-ordinating ribbon
and here they are all together :-)
Well, that's all from me today, I hope you have enjoyed the projects and I will be back soon with more craftyness to share with you!
For more info on joining my team please feel free to email me :-)

Perfectly Preserved

Hello,
I have a couple of cards to share with you tonight, these were made a while ago and I have just not had a chance to post them on here, in fact I made these when Jules was here in August and Emma popped over for a play too, just as we had the pre-order (a great demo perk, ask me how) for the Autumn/Winter catalogue :-D
So, this was the first one I made with the postage stamp punch so a nice quick one to make
I used Vellum card for the jar but had to cut the pear out by hand as I didn't have the framelits at the time so excuse the wobbly edges please ;-)
and a lovely ribbon slider containing the linen thread
Now, for this one I added some banners (I am still loving banners) and stitched them along the edge as well as the strip along the bottom
a banner and stitching close up
and the pears were inked with markers for a two tone effect
Right, that's me for now as I'm off to work.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Happy Stampin'

Perfectly Preserved inspired by Orla ;-)

Hello there,
I hope you are all well today? I have a card I made a while ago for my friend Laura's birthday using Perfectly Preserved and I was inspired by all the lovely Orla Keily goodies that are around right now, here, take a look and let me know what you think...
I stamped the pear multiple times onto Sahara Sand DSP (from the Neutrals stack) using Midnight Muse ink
and added a few rhinestones and leaves here and there
Yummy vintage faceted buttons with Summer Starfruit and cotton twill ribbon
arty angle for the dimension ;-)
and a little decoration inside to finish today
Well, I hope you like today's card and many thanks for stopping by today

Sampin' Up! Perfectly Preserved

Hello there,
I am hosting a Macmillan coffee morning today but I thought I would pop on and share a card with you first ;-) I will try to remember to take a few pics today and share some of the goings on tomorrow too.
So, on to today's card. I made this one for my lovely friend and down line Anna for her birthday a few weeks ago and as I am so in love with this set I just had to use it ;-)
I used a rich and feminine colour combo of Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple with Crumb Cake
some masking of the flowers to fit them in the jar
I *heart* this ruffled ribbon, it also makes great flowers (see side bar for tutorial)
 and I decorated inside too
and I also made a matchbox style box to pop her gift in too
Island Indigo card for the base with an outer wrapper made with Orchard Harvest DSP from the Autumn/Winter catalogue (page 28)
with a matching jar on the front to finish
Right, I had better get going before everyone gets here, wish me luck!!

Perfectly Preserved Birthday with a Layered Curly Label Punch tutorial too!

Hello there,
It was my friends birthday the other day and so I played with new favourite stamp set Perfectly Preserved and the matching papers too, so gorgeous!
**Please scroll down for tutorial on layering the Curly Label Punch**

I also used the matching Cannery framelits dies to cut out the little pears, these pears are my current crush and by far my most used stamp from this set...
I *heart* these buttons, my dear friend Julie gave me a few when she came to visit a few weeks ago, they are currently reserved for specials friends but I am counting the days 'till the 1st October when I can order at least 100 packs for myself (just in case I run out ;-) lol)
and the inside was decorated a little too
So, do you like the button tab detail on this card? Well here is a simple way to achieve this double layered look to the punched Curly label tab! You need the Curly label punch (obviously) and the Decorative label punch too
So, begin by punching the smaller Curly Label from your top layer of chosen card or paper, I inked the edges of mine but this is not essential. Then punch a Decorative Label from the background design again from either card or paper. Adhere the curly label to the decorative label with a narrow border at the bottom as shown here
Feed one side of the labels back into the Curly Label punch to make an even border at the side to match the bottom, punch it out!
flip the labels around and repeat on the other side
Now, the bottom corners will have this slightly uneven look so I just snipped it off with scissors, very easy
and this is what you should have now. I then trimmed the top edge of the bottom layer so it was also straight
and this is the finished tab!
I hope you have enjoyed this mini tutorial and I look forward to seeing it on your cards too ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today and if you need any help getting the punches (or anything else) I have mentioned then please contact me today to place an order ;-)
