Stampin' Up's Papillon Potpourri with Hardwood Background stamps

Hello there,
I'm late with today's post as I have been out and about today meeting with my friend Laura *waves* in Salisbury. Laura is another one of those people I would never have met unless we had both become SU! demos. So I thank SU! for introducing me to her every time we meet :-)
Anyway, the card I have for you is a pretty butterfly card based on a similar one I made HERE back in May of this year using Summer Silhouettes with the Hardwood background stamp. It appears to have been very popular on Pinterest, who knows what cards will grab Pinners attention huh? ;-)
So, I made this similar one using the Hardwood background stamp again but this time teamed it with Papillon Potpourri in Night of Navy and Calypso Coral with a touch of Garden Party (leaves) to make this card.
TOP TIP 1: Stamp your sentiment first, then add butterflies around it.
I've had this scrummy  Coral Seam Binding ribbon burning a hole in my craft room for a while now so couldn't resist using it at class this week
and I added a couple of stamped and punched butterflies to the card for some 3d action on there :-)
TOP TIP 2: Use a pair of fine tweezers to fold your butterflies up and around, this gives you a nice flat centre to add glue to as well as perfectly creased butterflies.
Right, that's me for today but I'll definitely be back tomorrow with another card for you.
Thanks for looking today,

Tuxedo / James Bond Card using the Dr Who Tutorial with Stampin' Up! Products

Hello there,
Today's card is an idea I was inspired to make about as I typed up the tutorial last week for the Dr Who card I made for my friends sons birthday.
I thought the Dr Who Card would look great as a Tux and so I set to work and made this card.
It was a lot quicker to make this time round with all the measurements from the tutorial on hand ;-)
We chatted about it at class and thought it would make a lovely Graduation card or perhaps a Best Man Wedding card even and it's just perfect for those James Bond fans too!! Any other thoughts or ideas to use this Tuxedo card please do leave me a comment... ;-)
The SU! Gift Bow Die was used for the bow-tie
a side view which is probably easier to see than the front version as it's black!
The buttons on the shirt are XL Rhinestones (retired) but you could try using a 3/4" circle punch and glimmer paper for a similar look.
Here it is shown closed (that's a little magnet at the bottom you can see)
and a view from the top finishes today's post ;-)
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's card and if you have a bash at making one yourself please remember to share it with me!
