TMT- Partial Die Cutting using Butterfly Basics- A Much longer than 'Two Minute' Tuesday Video ;-)

Hello,
So today I have a new video to share with you today, after all it is Tuesday! For a change I have it uploaded and ready to share with you nice and early this week but as the title today suggests it's much more than two minutes for this weeks video :-) 
Today I'm sharing how to make this pretty die cut edge using your Beautiful Butterflies stamps and dies. Before we go any further I have a couple of things I need to point out- first of all I want to say I saw this video made by the fabulously talented Jennifer McGuire sharing a partial die cut edge and was inspired to make my own version, so big thanks to Jennifer for the inspiration! And secondly, I have had this video made for a good few weeks but have held off sharing it as these dies have been held up in shipping- happily I can tell you they are now available to order again. Because of this delay the video shares with you colouring your rhinestones with blendabilities but as you (hopefully) know these have sadly been discontinued. You could instead use a sharpie or other alcohol marker to colour your rhinestones or just use them plain or even swap them for sequins instead.
OK, lets see my take on this popular technique. I started by stamping the butterflies onto my card then die cut them to make this card. (All is explained in the video, please scroll down to view)
 These butterflies were stamped using crisp cantaloupe which is now sold out :-( but you could try any of the subtles inks to get this look or maybe change it up and use a bolder colour!

Five Days of Stampin' Up! Note Cards; Day Four; Using Butterfly Basics and a My Crafty Friends Share!

Hello,
Todays card is a Crumb Cake note card and I used the Butterfly Basic stamp set. Just FYI the Butterfly dies are back in stock so why not take advantage of the 15% off and order them together with this stamp set? Links at the end of this post. Anyway, back to this card. Lets take a peek...
 I stamped this flower using Versamark and heat embossed using Slate powder, this has now sold out, but you could use Silver powder or even gold would look nice.
*Note* Please excuse the inky smudge in the bottom, right corner, I didn't get a chance to photograph this card until after the class ;-)
 We then coloured it in using blender pens and our ink pads, 
 As with all the other cards in this series we decorated the envelopes to match
 and one last photo today ;-)

Five Days of Stampin' Up! Note Cards; Day Three. Using Treat Bag Thinlits.

Happy Sunday!
I had a day off from the blog yesterday as it was our 19 year wedding anniversary! We didn't do anything as such, just spent the day being together ;-)
Anyway, today I have the third card in this Note Card series to share with you. And HERE is the link to the box I made to fit these note cards into, in case you missed it. 
The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (you can also see my Three Ways with Treat Bag Thinlits VIDEO) make a bag that fit these note cards in perfectly so I decided to use some of the Birthday Bash DSP and make a matching card to pop in it and use as an envelope - and it's a fab way to use up those retired paper packs you have! See....
 After stamping the note card using the Perpetual Birthday Stamp set we added the die cut word (included in the treat bag thinlits set) and a few punched Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper stars

I like making note cards to match DSP ;-)

All the cards in this series are nice and flat for posting or popping in with other bits without adding bulk.

Five Days of Stampin' Up! Note Cards; Day Two. Using Adventure Awaits.

Hello there,
Todays card is actually two cards. I used the white note cards again for todays designs and kept them nice and simple using the Adventure Awaits stamp set. We inked in Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush (both sadly retiring in a month and sold out :-( You could try the Subtles collection for similar, pretty colours though) stamping off onto our grid paper before stamping directly onto the notecard to give a paler image...
 then we used the opposite coloured markers to draw simple lines around the edges using a ruler
I think these would be great to pop a note to someone who was going on holiday or is perhaps off on a mini adventure for a while, don't you think?
