Using Stampin' Up's Build a Birthday for a Pretty, Pink Card.

Hello,
I have another busy, busy day ahead so I'm going to be short on words here today but I have plenty of pictures so never fear ;-)
This card was another class card and we used Build a Birthday - I have found I have used this stamp set a lot more than I thought I would! It's just so versatile!
For this version I wanted to do something a bit different so I decided to make a subtle Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand and Pool Party coloured cake, getting away from all the bright coloured versions I have seen around, take a look and let me know what you think...
The cake is simply the layers inked and stamped but the stand was heat embossed using (retired)  pool party powder.
Some bakers twine around the top keeps this card minimal still, but adds just a little something extra
Dot a few punched flowers around and we're done!
and one more top view to finish today :-)
OK, that's all from me for today.
I'll be back tomorrow with the cards I made for Zack to give to his teachers.
I hope you'll join me back here!

Stampin' Up's Build a Birthday Cake with New In Colours: Sneak PeeksTime!

Hello,
I have another card today using the Build a Birthday and it's kind of a half cake ;-) Not the kind I like in real life!! Lol! This cake was made up using a mixture of stamping and washi tape...
I heat embossed the little flags with gold powder.
I used the 1/8" hole punch to hold the twine in place and to prevent it from making the bottom of this card being unstable.
This yummy twine is from the Painted Blooms set and finishes on the 2nd June so if you want need some please order yours by this date :-)
Also, I have a little video sharing this technique using the slightly smaller 1/16" hole punch HERE
I stamped the bottom layer in new In Colour Tip Top Taupe then heat embossed in gold the sentiment included in this cute set. The rest of the cake is Wash tape :-)
See, I raised the panel on dimensionals too
and a top view to finish today!
Well, I hope you have enjoyed this little peek at what's coming soon in the brand spanking NEW CATTY. If you want your very own copy please SEE HERE for how to get your sticky mitts on one - really soon!!
Thanks for looking today

Kit Kat Cake with Build a Birthday by Stampin' Up!

Hello,
One of the very best perks of being a demonstrator is the chance to get hold of yummy new products early! And I'm sure you might have seen this new stamp set "Build a Birthday" around on blogs and forums a bit already but I only got mine this week so I (obviously) couldn't wait to have a play!!
Lets see what I came up with..
This card was totally inspired by the many (what I call) "Kit Kat cakes" that I have seen on Pinterest. Here is just one of the many pictures I quickly found on a search - unfortunately I couldn't find a source but if this is your photo please get in touch and I will happily credit your fab cake and awesome photography skills too! ;-)
These cute banners are included in the stamp set but they are actually on little poles (designed to stick in the top of the cake). I simply stamped them fully and cut them out, joining the bottom one to make a longer bunting. These were stamped in the new In Colour - Watermelon Wonder.
These "Kit Kats" were stamped in another new colour - Tip Top Taupe.
I added some cool new Washi tape called Cherry on Top as a faux ribbon :-)
This would be a great card to post too! Look how flat it is! So unlike me ;-)
On a side note; if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you will have seen my little faux pas with this cake stand this week....
The paper behind the front panel is new Cherry On Top DSP stack which are going to be 6"x6" square from now on, giving you even more flexibility in your crafting needs.
The card base is another new colour - Mint Macaron - Yummy!
Ok, so who wants needs a NEW CATALOGUE????????
If you have placed an order with me in the last 12 months I will be sending you a catalogue in the post this week so keep an eye out!
PLEASE NOTE: If you clicked "No Contact" when you placed your order then I DO NOT have your contact details to send you a copy! You will also have not received a thank you card from me (sadly) but this will be why. Please do drop me a line with when you ordered (roughly) I will happily send you a catalogue FREE of charge. I promise you need it ;-)
If you haven't ordered with me before and want a copy (who wouldn't?!) please EMAIL ME and I will happily send you a copy for the bargain price of just £3.50. I will send you a gift worth at least £3.50 when you place your first order over £30 (before post) with me.
**If you are interested in purchasing a little SU! goodness each month and like free gifts, catalogues and hostess goodies then please consider joining my new Stampers 6 club- More details HERE**
I look forward to hearing from you soon :-)
Well, that's all for today, I'll be back tomorrow with a new card before we go out suit shopping for hubby.
Thanks for stopping by today,
