Helping Me Grow by Stampin' Up! For a Loose Watercolour Effect with Video Tutorial.

Hello there,
I have two cards today and a video tutorial too! I know, posts here are like busses right now but now the kiddies are back at school things should hopefully return to normal... fingers crossed ;-)
OK, so this card was designed and made months ago! I know, but it kept getting bumped for one reason or another, then I wasn't sure if you really needed the video to go with it... Anyway, as I had made the video I decided to edit and share it with today anyway ;-) Hopefully it might help someone...
So, I used Peekaboo Peach for this first card teamed with the very lovely and I think somewhat overlooked Helping Me Grow stamp set to make this card.
Lots more pictures of this card :-) I like this effect for a quicker, less time consuming way to watercolour this flower.
I also find that Peekaboo Peach is quite a hard colour to photograph well, it often ends up looking very different in pics, but hopefully you get the idea?
And here's the same-ish card in Flirty Flamingo.
This is the card I made in the video, it also takes a better picture ;-)
So, here's the video tutorial for you with a few hints and tips too...
So, I hope the video is useful to someone watching ;-) And thanks so much for looking today.
Don't forget about my September Giveaway and to use the host code for a little treat form me in October,

Watercolored "Helping Me Grow" stamps byStampin' Up! in Rose Red and Wild Wasabi

Hello!
In today's post I have a watercolored card using the Helping Me Grow stamp set. I am loving water colouring right now but I am definitely not any kind of artist. But that's the great thing with stamps and add in some heat embossing to make it even easier and everyone can watercolour! Even me!
I stamped the images in Versamark onto watercolour paper and heat embossed in white before watercolouring with aqua painters and ink pad lids
Both the frame and sentiment are included in the set. There is also a die to cut out this frame out in the Rose Wonder set, just so you know!
I wrapped a little linen thread around the bottom to look like garden twine...
See here, at the bottom of the panel, I masked before stamping a second time as I wanted the whole panel full of flowers for this card.
I stamped the flower heads using versamark for a very pale textured look on the Wild Wasabi card and notice how I wrapped the panel around the spine? Just for a bit of a different look ;-)
I really, really enjoyed making this card, what do you think??
Thanks for looking today,

Using Helping Me Grow by Stampin' Up! for a Pretty, Purple Flower

Hello
and welcome to todays card! I have a pretty card to share with you today. I stamped and heat embossed this flower from the new Helping Me Grow stamp set onto thick white card for easy colouring. Then I used a waterbrush and my ink pads {shown in this video using the Boys Will Be Boys stamps} to colour it in, take a look...
Such a pretty flower to colour in
For the sentiment I stamped onto Vellum and heat embossed it in silver before tearing it and securing it behind the image.
A nice flat card for posting but still with a bit of the 'ole Wow! factor, don't you think?
And a top view to finish today
Right, that's all from me for today,
Last day to use this code when you shop with me in January.
I'll be back soon with another card, 'till then
