Rest of Josh's Birthday and last chance to Sale-a-Brate!

Good Morning Ladies and Gents :-)
I hope this post finds you well, I had a lovely day yesterday with lots of funny and gorgeous SU! demonstrators, waves to all!! more about that later tho, for now I am going to share a few of the other things I made for Josh's birthday sleepover Friday night, although I think they may have stayed up a little late?? ;-) lol.
So first of all we had to invite the boys around so I made {very} simple invites up on the computer and matted them onto Pacific Point and Real Red card stock, I coloured the writing with SU! markers in Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red,
and what sort of party would it be without cake eh?? so I made a Chocolate Roulade with fresh cream filling and white chocolate drizzle, yummy!
and finally for this party I made little chocolaty goody bags for the boys to take home,
Now, back to Sale-a-Bration, Just a reminder really that if you are interested in joining Stampin' Up! then now is a great time to join as just until Monday the brilliant offer for a FREE extra stamp set of any value--your choice from the catalogue--is available on top of the already great value starter kit, email me for a chat.

Even More Punch Bunch!

So, in case you hadn't noticed, I LOVE the Punch Bunch stamp set!! If you only get one free set from the Sale-a-Bration promotion then I would heartily recommend this one ;-)
I have made a quick card for a man, in fact I made this originally for last class but decided to "step it up" a little but, seeing as I still liked this one too though I thought I would quickly share it with you today, it is a great quick make I think...
Paper is Nursery Suite again and I think the addition of staples is always a great detail without being too girly,
Well, I told you it was a quick one today, I will be back tomorrow with card I have made for hubby's birthday which is on Wednesday, get me, not a last minute panic this year...well for the card anyway, I still have to wrap his presents yet!
Thanks for visiting today,

Punch Bunch for a Baby

Good Morning to you today,
and I hope the sun is finally shining with you too! it is here thankfully, I am sooo sick of the wet! Today I have a baby card to share with you which is completely inspired by one the lovely Elizabeth made HERE which she says was inspire by another demo, (linked on Elizabeth's blog ;-)) so thanks for your inspiration lades x
Back to my version of it tho now...
So saffron base with Certainly Celery ribbon (retired) with the background made using little images from the So Happy For You stamp set,
this gorgeous little tag shaped mobile is from Punch Bunch {which is only available for another 2 weeks!} and some 3mm taffeta ribbon in Old Olive, I love this thin ribbon, sentiment is also from So Happy For You set,
and a few buttons, these are from the Subtles and Neutrals pots, that reminds me... must add some to this months order, I have nearly run out of the subtles ones, eek!

So, do you want the Punch Bunch stamps? or indeed the So Happy For You ones?? to re-create this card and earn ONE of these sets you could perhaps purchase-- Subtles buttons, Subtles stampin' spots, subtles mixed card pack and the large tag punch. That would give you a total of £47.20 (before post) and then you could get the stamp set of your choice from the SAB brochure for FREE!
This is of course just a suggestion and you can order any products in the current catalogue up to the value of £45 to receive your free stamps.
I hope I have helped with your decisions and look forward to hearing from you soon,
Thanks for stopping by today,

We will be decorating a candle and making a matching card, it promises to be great fun :-)
Back to this months card, we are concentrating on the Punch Bunch stamps this month which are only available for another 2 weeks! This little baby stamp is so sweet and I have teamed it here with Pear Pizzazz base and Nursery Suite papers, the re is also a blue bowed bunny with a green background in this pack so all flavours of bubbas are catered for ;-)

and this cute sentiment is from the SAB stamp set aptly named So Happy For You ;-) finished with a button from the subtles family and a touch of Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon,

so that's today's card, I will be back tomorrow with another tasty treat, enjoy the rest of your Sunday,

New Team Member

Hello,
I am very lucky to be welcoming two new team members to the Southern Belles this week and to help them on their way in their new hobby/business I wanted to make them each a little gift (but different;-)) as she has received hers I will share Nicky's with you today.
First of all I covered a 5"x5" On Board Journal, this one is in Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz In Colour Papers with the tummy of the little owl (from Punch Bunch) made with a scrap of Sunny Garden (in this share here)

Initial stamped using Broadsheet Alphabet then blinged with a rhinestone,

I also made a Milk Carton in Peach Parfait and decorated with Sweet Summer stamp set (last couple of weeks to get this for FREE) I will show you on Monday what is inside the Milk Cartons...

and here they are all together,

If you would like any info about joining my team either as a Hobby Demonstrator or to make a business with SU! then please email me for a no obligation chat.

Mojo Monday

Good Morning to you today,
I have a card today I made with this weeks mojo's sketch in Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz (there it is again, I think I have a pear obsession!) and a touch of Poppy Parade,

the main images are from the SAB set Sweet Summer {Free with a £45 order} which I coloured using markers and a blender pen, I love the little bee which I glittered up on his wings using Dazzling Diamonds,
the In Colour ribbon is ruffled here simply onto a piece of DST, it is very easy as it is so soft, I added a little button to the end of it,

and this cute little sentiment is from another SAB set Punch Bunch, it fits perfectly with this frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware tin,

Well that's all today, I hope you liked today's card, I will be back tomorrow with another challenge card, have a lovely day whatever you are up to, we are hiding inside in the warm and dry down here!

February '11 Class

Hello,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, I spent some of it working and some relaxing ;-) perfect!
I also spent yesterday putting the finishing touches to this months class. We will be using mostly the Punch Bunch stamp set for this months projects with a touch of So Happy For You, both sets can be earned for free with a spend of £45 for each.
Onto the card for today, I went with a male birthday card in a trusty easel shape, great for making a mans card a bit special without too many ribbons or the usual flowers iykwim?

The papers used in this months class are from the Nursery Suite Speciality pack, a lovely mix which reminds me of the old favourite Sweet Always from a couple of years back..
We will be layering the main sentiment a few times like so,

and choc chip grosgrain to hold up the easel part,
Well, super quick post today, come back tomorrow for some more cards we shall be creating this month and if you would like to join us then email me for more details,

A Card for Jess

Hello,
I had to make a card this week for Zoe who was going to her friend Jess' 10th birthday party on Saturday.
I made a card for fathers day last year with this same 9 square layout with different toppers in each square, so I thought I would have a go at making a girly one. I loved this paper from the Sweet and Sour speciality in Rose Red and Very Vanilla, it is from the pack we used for this months card class but I think quite different to all the ones we used then, scalloped squares are in Perfect Plum which co-ordinates perfectly, don't you think?? ...

The little images are from Every Little Bit, Heart to Heart punch, and Punch Bunch in the top left corner with a matching button in the bottom right, here you can also see I added Crystal Effects to some of the bits,

Inside I used Engraved Greetings with a little border,

Arty Angle, I popped up some of the squares and/or some of the images,

Well that's all for today, I hope you like today's card. I have a few cards/gifts to be making today so I will have something to share with you for the rest of the week (hopefully ;-))
Have a great day whatever you are up to,

Sarah's Mojo Card with a tutorial making a Scalloped Edge Rosette.

Hello,
I love it when you make projects using my tutorials but please be sure to link back here and give credit when you make and post to your blog.
Thank-you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy this tutorial xx
**Small warning, long, picture heavy post, grab a drink now**
I was a really busy bee yesterday, I think I may have found some mojo, yay! Nothing like a list of cards that HAVE to be made and deadlines to have them made by to get you going ;-)
So, it is my very dear friend Sarah's birthday today *Happy Birthday Sarah xx* We went to the pub last night to do gifts and cards so she had it a day early, but at least I know I am safe to blog it! lol! I used this weeks Mojo sketch as a starter and went with the colours from this yummy paper, it is called Nursery Suite, and as you will see it is not just for babies, we will also be using this paper in next months class more on that soon, back to what I made for Sarah..

I am so pleased with how this one came out, even if I say so myself! Now, do you like this scalloped fan flower? Great! Because there is a mini tutorial a little further down!!
The main image is from Punch Bunch and the flower on the background of the front and inside below is called Sweet Summer these are both FREE Sale-a-Bration sets, if you need them then please message me for details,
Here is the arty angle and I think you will probably agree this is perhaps a card to send with a gift or hand deliver as it is quite thick, but I do love depth to my cards {in case you didn't notice!}

sentiment is Curly Cute, ribbon is retired and a bit of bling to finish in the way of Basic Rhinestones.
Mini Tutorial Time
First step is to scallop one edge of a sheet of 12x12 paper. Then measure from the top edge of the scallops to 1.5" and cut, I know this shows 2" but I trimmed it off again to be at 1.5" then promptly deleted the photo! doh! but you get the idea??
score at each dip of the scallop as shown, then use strong DST to overlap one scallop at the ends to form a circle, below,
Push flat to make your mini flower/medallion and add a punched image with quick drying and strong glue, Tombow is great for this.

and there you have it, a scalloped topper for your cards.
I hope you liked today's card and the tutorial was hopefully of help to some of you,
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend whatever you are up to,

A Little Thank-you

Hi there,
First of all today I would like to thank the lovely ladies who came to this months class, it was great fun as always. If you would like to join us next month then please email me for more details. Sneaky peeks will follow shortly ;-)
but today's project was a little gift I packaged and sent to my good friend Julie xx
I made a simple little card and a large pillow box in Poppy Parade and classic Black and White,

and a few close-ups of the details on the box, the hearts are made with the Mini Heart Punch using Poppy Parade DSP
flower from the same paper made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and finished with a Basic Rhinestone,
and the sentiment is from the FREE Punch Bunch Sale-a-Bration set which fits perfectly in some Hodgepodge Harware,
Well Julie has received this so I am safe to show here, I hope you like today's project,
Happy Stampin'
Hugs,
