A Special Card with a Broadsheet Alphabet and How to Punch An Image Larger Than Your Punch Tutorial

Hello there,
I am here today with a special card for a special friend, Jules. She is my SU! Upline but has become so much more than that, she is a real friend to me. Anyway, Jules made Gold 1 in promotions last week and so I had to make her a card to show her how I was thinking of her and how proud I was too!
Of course it needed Gold in there somewhere and what better colour to go with Gold but Calypso Coral! The perfect colour combo.
Ribbon rose with Blossom Party die and a pearl
a lovely Butterfly embosslit with pearl body
and a little decoration inside too :-)
Now, Jules called me yesterday to ask how I made the "G" and "R" overhang the postage stamp punch so I made a super quick tutorial on how it's done for you all! This method would of course work with any stamp and punch combo where the image is slightly larger than the punch ;-)
Begin by stamping your letter (lower down the card would have been better, but we can work around this ;-) Also punch another postage stamp out too from scrap card.
position the extra punched square over the top of the letter, I had the letter slightly to the left so the loop at the bottom fitted in the square's edges, and mark lightly with a pencil
trim around the bottom of the letter, up to the lines you just marked, I also cut off some of the bottom pieces where I stamped too high at this point
use your scissors to feed the extra part of the image that will be outside the punched area
like so, and then just punch
rub out your pencil lines and tidy up your cutting if needed
OK, that's me for today, I hope you like the card and that my mini tutorial has been a help, any questions, please email me :-)

3d Swap

Hello!
I promised you a convention share today and that's exactly what I have for you!
**Advance warning, picture heavy, grab a cuppa before you start!**
I joined in a 3d swap with some other very talented demos, but today I will share what I made for this swap,
I used Flirtatious fabric die cut using the smaller of the two tags die
"C" is from Broadsheet Alphabet with backed bitty buttons to decorate too,
"R" is inked with a marker using ta stamp from the hostess exclusive Happiest Birthday Wishes set, punched and covered with crystal effects in a (new, clean) bottle cap
"E" is from Just Perfect Alpha and punched with the Heart to Heart punch and decorated with the itty bitty shapes punch pack
"A" is die cut using Timeless Type Alphabet and again coated with crystal effects,
"T" is the trunk from Trendy Trees with the 5 petal flower punch topper, finished with a flower brad,
and "E" is again Broadsheet Alpha with a mini clip to decorate it
and here it is all fanned out, spelling out "CREATE" a lovely way of showing off lots of SU! products, but wouldn't it make a darling mini scrapbook with small pictures of your kids or even pets??
Well, the those possibilities are truly endless, if you have a go, please send me a picture of your version! I would love to see ;-)
Well, that's today's post for you, I have another class today but I will be back Friday with some more craftiness for you,

Crotchet trim and In Colour ruffle ribbon decorate the spine, love both of these ribbons!!
and all three items together looking pretty ;-)

Update on Retiring Products and a Card!

Hi there,
I am back with a little update on the Last Chance List, there have been a couple of omissions on the original list and so HERE is the new link, for you to check and make sure the stamps/accessories you "need" before they retire on the 30th September are on here or not!! And please remember that some items will sell fast! please email me with your order and I will place it for you straight away :-)
So, I have got a card to share with you today too, it was made for my sister to give to her boyfriend, she saw the card I made for this Simply Stampin' Challenge a while back and loved it, I had unfortunately given it to someone else to use though so I had to re-make it, with a little change around of course!
Some wide striped grosgrain which I ruffled and stitched
Broadsheet Alpha used for the "L" "V" and "E" with the large heart punch and square lattice folder to make the "O" I also used the medallion stamp for the background too
Plenty of distressing and stitching around each layer
and some detail inside to finish
Thanks for dropping by today,
Don't forget I am starting a stamper 6 in October, message me now to reserve your place and get your very own catalogue delivered direct to your door for FREE and then a little SU! goodness each month for 6 months too!!

Simply Stampin' Anything but a Card

Hello and welcome to another week at Simply Stampin' Challenges, do pop over to the blog and see the other DT's creations, they all work so hard to inspire you :-)
So, I made this for my friends birthday last week, I had seen a printed version of this in an expensive shop and I knew I wanted to make my own hand stamped version!
I have to thank my fellow SU! demonstrator Val for the tea pot die cuts :-) Thanks Val!
I embossed the teapot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder and inked the edges and spots with matching Night of Navy Ink,
And for the words I used the Just Perfect Alphabet and "Tea" was stamped with Broadsheet Alpha (love it!) all stamped onto Confetti White card
Well, that's me on here for today, I have my Charity Card class this morning and I am looking forward to spending some fun time with some great ladies, be sure to pop back soon for some pictures and updates :-)
For some sneak peeks go to my facebook page and if you want you can "like" Cards and a Cuppa for some little extras and updates directly to your wall!
