Aviary Birthday

Hello,
As you can probably guess I ran out of time to edit the mini film, soon, I promise! But I did get lots of other crafting done, all my Halloween treats are ready now :-) and I have almost finished designing  the next Stamp-a-Stack class too!
So I do have another card using my most favourite stamps (this week) in the new catalogue! Aviary, I really do love this set and was thrilled to see it had made it "over the pond" ;-)
I used a colour combo of Rose Red and Perfect Plum for this card,
This elegant stand is included in the set, see page 41 for all the stamps in the set
Rose Red seam binding ribbon with a Plum button and sentiment is the old faithful Sincere Salutations, I love how they all fit in the large oval punch
and a little decoration inside to finish too ;-)
If you would like to have a play with this set then why not come along to my next class running on the 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th November, I still just have a couple of spaces left, message me for more info or to reserve your place! See HERE for the cards we will be making.
Well, that's me for today, back soon with more cardy goodness!
We are off for a walk in the forest with the dog and a leisurely tea tonight too!
Have a great, and hopefully inky, day :-)

So Sorry

Hello,
So Much going on today, I am off this afternoon to set up for the Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Fair which starts this Friday until Sunday, I will be doing demonstrations throughout the day using lovey Stampin' Up! products for you to take away! I would love to see you there and if you visit here do say so, I would love to meet my blog readers in real life ;-)
So, today I have one of those cards no-body wants to make, sympathy cards.
I unfortunately needed two of them and this is what I made,
Baja Breeze and So Saffron with Strength and hope butterfly and Sincere Salutations sentiment,
I embossed the white panel, after stamping the sentiment, using the gorgeous Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder using my Big Shot, and added a little butterfly inside,
Well, that's todays card for you,
Ooohh, I just remembered I promised you teachers cards today! Doh! I will be back tomorrow with those then ;-)

Get Well Soon Evelyn!

Hello,
Well, we did end up in IKEA for brekkie yesterday! and Jungle Jeans for a couple of hours of running (the kiddies!) and coffee and chatting (me and DH) a lovely day all in all :-)
But, back to reality today, all back to work and school and I have several cards to make plus I have to re-attach my punch bar as I purchased a cd unit to make a little storage unit/ shelf for my desk, more pics to follow!
But today's card is for a good friend and SU! team member had a trip to the hospital yesterday, I am pretty sure she will still going to be in there so I think I am safe to share it with you ;-)
I used a combo of Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Perfect Plum, I started with a page from the colour coach but ended up combining 2 combinations from the same page to come up with this, I like it, what do you think??
I used an old sketch I had noted down, I think it was a Mojo one but can't remember and my book is in the other room...
The Images are from Little Additions with a flower "cushion" made with Boho Blossoms punch and rhinestones to bling it up ;-)
Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations,
Another chair decorates the inside,
and finally the side view.
Well, I hope Evelyn is well on the way to recovery and I am sure you will all join me in sending her many well wishes, Big hugs Evelyn xx
and many thanks to you for stopping by today, back tomorrow

Chris' Special Birthday

Happy Bank Holiday to you all today,
and a BIG Happy Birthday to Chris, my SU! sister, I have scheduled this post as I am again at Lyndhurst Community Centre for their Craft and Gift Fair, I would love if you stopped by and said Hi!
So, back to Chris, she has a very special birthday today, I am not sure I should say how many years young she is but here is her blog and if she tells you then that's up to her ;-)
I used Crumb Cake (again) over the base of Rose Red and teamed it with Wild Wasabi and Rose Red accents made with the super cute Baby Blossoms stamp set,
included in this set is also this lovely frame as well as all the 2 step stamps to give your flowers and leaves that little extra something, sentiment is the ole' faithful Sincere Salutations,
I made my first double bow with Seam Binding ribbon (available in this SHARE) in crumb cake then topped it with a flower from my stash after I stamped the Top Note die cut with Versamark and Crumb Cake ink to make the background.
Arty angle to see the depth, this was definitely a large letter for the postman! I really hope she has gotten it in time for her special day,
One last pic of the inside to finish,
Well, that's all for today, Thanks for visiting me today, I hope you like this one. I was really happy with it, but more importantly I hope Chris likes it and has a wonderful birthday!

Hello there,
Last week I unfortunately had to make one of those card that nobody enjoys making, a sympathy card.
I made it for a lady who comes to my card class who sadly lost her husband.
As I had not got a specific sympathy stamp set I decided to use the very versatile Just Believe set with the spotlight technique. Colours are Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso.
Sincere Salutations for the sentiment, inked to make it pop a bit more,
I added a subtles button to the satin ribbon across the bottom, tied on with linen thread,
and a stamped off image for the inside to finish
Not a lot of chat today, I think I went on enough yesterday ;-) lol!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Thinking of You

Good Morning to you all,
I hope you are all enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having at the moment? I am not sure what we will be doing this morning, but I do have to go into work this afternoon for more training so that really doesn't help with school holiday fun let me tell you! booo! ;-)
Anyway, I know I promised you a sneak at this months class but I just haven't had time to photograph the projects yet, so I will share with you a card I made a while ago but haven't gotten a chance to blog 'till now. It was for my Dad (in law) to let him know we were thinking of them both on the day it would have been Mum (in laws) birthday.
Pear Pizzazz base with Elegant Soiree papers, Stamp set is A Flower For All Seasons which I watercolured using blender pens and ink pads, I punched it our with the 1+3/4" circle punch and backed it with the Fancy Flower XL punch out which I also embossed with the square lattice folder, phew!
and a touch of Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding ribbon topped with a springtime big button to finish,
Well, that's it for today, I have been asked to show how to make the bags from yesterday so I will try to get a little tutorial done in the next few days too,
Have fun in the sun! but don't forget your factor 50 ;-) lol!

Teacher Tastic!

Good Morning,
I have a class starting at 12 today, it will be my third one for this month! I have just finished tidying and mopping, just got to lay the table now for the ladies, if you would like to join us next month for some paper, fun and friendship then please email me for more info.
So onto today's projects, and I have to warn you this is a picture heavy post! so I would grab a cuppa now ;-)
I made 2 different designs using the same sets and colourways, the wine is for the teacher and the paperclip bookmark is for the teachers assistants (2 of them in each class) I have also decorated another gift but I think I will save that for tomorrow!
For this one I stamped the apple from Tart and Tangy using versamark and then inked the special apple using my markers, sentiment is Tiny Tags, For You is from Basic Phrases,
This set uses Basic Grey instead of Versa and more of the lovely gingham ribbon with Linen Thread, Sincere Salutations makes another welcome appearance too,
I have added a close up of this apple just to show the background. I inked and stamped all my Thank-You stamps from lots of different sets in co-ordinating colours to make a block before punching out with the scallop circle punch,

and a quick close up of the bookmarks, they have Real Red layer one side and Always Artichoke the other,

and the all together shot to finish, phew!!!
I hope you are still with me! Thanks for stopping by today,
Quick update on the building- Velux are going in today and windows in at the weekend! yay! then next week they are starting on the inside, so it looks like I will be going out quite a lot next week!! I will try really hard to keep posting here but the next couple of weeks are probably going to be hit and miss even as to whether I can get to my crafty stuff (I had better be able to do something or I will go a bit crazy(er) I think!)
Don't forget my special offer for this month only, see top of blog for more details
Have a great day,

Long Time No See!

Hello,
Hope you have enjoyed this lovely warm weekend, gutted about the footie tho, Not good boys (in case they happen to be reading this! LOL!)
So anyway, my blog title explains a it about my post today, I have used the lovely A Rose is a Rose set which as mentioned I haven't used in far too long, here it is teamed with Pale and Perfect Plum, a gorgeous combo. Sadly Pale Plum will be leaving us in October so if you "need" this colour ink pad or card (or any other colour for that matter) then contact me for further info,

I cut out and layered some of the roses and leaves, Super soft white satin ribbon, great for big bows like this,
and a quick pic of the inside,

Now, before I go I thought I would share with you how I decorated my bone folders before the craft show I did, I used the very yummy stitched felt flowers, they are just so versatile,

Well thats all for today, I am taking Zoe to Paultons Park for the day today as she has another inset day (just Zoe this time)
Lets hope the weather keeps up, at least 'till next weekend when I am not working ;-)

Vintage 3D Card

Good morning,
I have scheduled this post as my builders are starting today! how exciting, now I've finished all the prep that is ;-)
Anyways, I have a card to share with you today, I was asked by a friend to make a special card for a special friend of hers and this is what I came up with,

I used the scrummy "bride" papers, although I think they are more like card stock weight, lovely. Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations,

I made the roses using the Vintage Vogue flower and wrapped fine wire threaded with pearl beads to encircle the roses,

The inside,

and finally, I had to make a box to put the card in as it wouldn't go in the envelope!

I think it would also make a great wedding card too, I am so in love with this Rich Razzleberry colour, so rich and yet modern,
So that's it from me today, thanks for dropping by and don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been,
Stampin' hugs
