Mrs Clause Dress Up Tag with FREE TUTORIAL

Hello there,
Back to Christmas again today! I wanted to give the ladies coming to my all day Christmas Kick Start class a bag with their papers, ribbons and gems etc in but it also had to be big enough to take all their hand made cards home in.
**Please Scroll Down for the Mrs Clause Dress Tutorial**
I found these lovely paper bags but of course I had to decorate them so I turned to my Big Shot with the ever useful Top Note die and Dress Up framelits too...
So, the ladies who chose red a their colour scheme had this tag on their bags, the bottom half of the Crumb Cake die cut is decorated with more of the Season's of Style paper, and of course Mrs Claus' dress which I made in Real Red
I used the new Gold Ink pad with the snowflake from the Hostess set Warmth and Wonder to decorate the top section, message me to find out how you can get your own hostess exclusive Warmth and Wonder stamp set ;-)
and the "Blue Ladies" had this bag tag, I used Winter Frost Paper at the bottom of these Whisper White tags with the new Silver ink using the same snowflake from Warmth and Wonder
I made Night of Navy Mrs Clause dresses for the blue bags ;-)
and a few of the blue bags together,
So, these are the dresses and I tried a couple of ways but this method was by far the quickest and most effective way of  making these dresses easily.
So, in addition to the Dress Up framelits you need this; the 1+1/4" scallop circle punch
Also making these dresses was made a lot easier with the Magnetic Platform as it significantly reduced "slippage" making multiples much easier; although, of course, it's not essential.
Punch from white card a scallop circle, you don't need the whole thing, just leave off the bottom 5 scallops when you punch
then (and you can do two (or three max) at at time with the Magnetic Platform but I would suggest just one layer at a time without it) die cut the sweetheart neckline from scallop circles like so, making sure the point is in the centre of the scallop at the bottom,
Adhere to your already die cut dress and decorate with 3mm Taffeta ribbon (I used Silver and  Black)and a small flower in the centre of the "belt" from the Punch Pack
*Remember, you can click on any of the pictures if you want to make them larger*

{I did try to add the punched shape whole and trim from the back but as the collar of the dress comes in at the top it was not only tricky but wasn't as neat as this and definitely took longer, it can be done but I wouldn't recommend it ;-)}

Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's post as much as I did making these little Mrs Clause dresses?
Thanks for stopping by and remember to link back here if you make some of your own, I would love to see yours too :-)

Stampin' Up! Borderlines...going soon!

Hello there,
Grotty weather here today, typical bank holiday don't you think?? ;-)
Anyway, I have a card that will cheer you up I'm sure! I have been seeing lots of rainbows around of late, so I decided to make a Rainbow card with the lovely Borderlines stamps, REMEMBER this set will NOT be available after the 30th April when the Spring Mini ends!! Gutted!
So, I stamped the floral line in rainbow colours and then cut it out using the Top Note die
adding clouds using the Cupcake punch! ((Another item not available after the 30th April)) I  inked the edges with Baja Breeze and embossed with .... a sneak peek from the Summer Mini ;-)
 arty angle
and a touch of stamping and embossing inside to finish
I have to admit to loving this card (can you say that about your own cards???) It just feels very summery and I am soooo ready for some sun right now!
Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of the bank holiday whatever you are up to

A More Modern Take

Hello there blog friends!
Apologies for the lack of a post yesterday, it was not for the lack of projects to post, more because we spent a lovely day out together at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We went up the tower and even braved walking on the glass floor too :-)
Here we are sat in the cafe which is on the second level

So, I do have a card to share today, this one uses Fresh Vintage but I wanted to give it a more modern twist so I changed up the colours using the colour coach for inspiration. I also based this card on the Mojo Monday sketch, it's been a long time since I seem to have had time to join in any challenges...
Loving the Melon Mambo wide striped grosgrain ribbon, perfect for tying lush bows
I inked the flower using my markers for this effect, I will be starting a marker share soon, message me if you would like to join :-) and a strip of pretty rhinestones add just enough bling
to decorate inside I huffed on my stamp again, without re-inking it, and stamped on the insert to give this paler version of the front flower
Well, that's me for today, I'm off to enjoy this Saturday with the kids, think we might go to the forest for a bit with the dog?? Have a lovely day whatever you are up to and thank-you for visiting me

3 Birthday Jems!

Hello!
Well, as you have seen another bust week here and to top it off it was a busy birthday week too!
I had three Jem's team members to make special cards for and so I went with all the same, which is unlike me tbh, but due to time constraints this was necessary on this occasion ;-)
Anyway, I made the same style as I made for Harry's birthday last week.
{as promised, I did a little tutorial whilst I was making these so will share this with you tomorrow}

I used an elegant colour combo of Cameo Coral, Crumb Cake and Basic Black,
with my scrummy new stamp set Everything Elanor, LOVE this set, which tbh I was surprised at as it hadn't grabbed me in the catalogue but once I had played with it... well I was in love! Plus it is exclusive to the European market, so our friends in the rest of the world have to look on in envy (sorry guys!)
Anyway, I stamped the insert too, to finish
That's me for today, quick post today! but as I mentioned, I will be back tomorrow with the tutorial for this style of card,
Thanks, as ever, for stopping by today,

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Hello,
I know I said I would be sharing this months class projects with you today but I decided first to show you the projects we will be making at the Stamp-a-Stack class I am holding later this month,
Monday 19th FULL, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st September.
I only have a few spaces left for this class now so EMAIL me asap to reserve your place.
We will be making 10 post friendly cards in this class, this simply means they will not need a large letter stamp, they are so pricey now aren't they?! And I decided to use the soon to be retiring Jolly Holiday DSP for these projects so have gone with a co-ordinating and traditional colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake, retiring products can be found HERE.
We will be making 2 each of 5 designs:
With envelopes and all materials included for just £12!
Class runs from 9.30-12.30 for this one as I don't want you to be too rushed. To reserve your place then please email me sarah-janerae@sky.com or call 023 8084 3597
I look forward to seeing you at this class ;-)
