Stampin' Up! Perfect Postage

Good (wet) morning!
It's really rubbish here again today so it look as though I will be finishing off my swaps ready for SU! Regional Training in Reading this Saturday :-)
But first I have a card which uses lots of Spring Mini products which will be going next Monday, remember to get your order to me if there is anything in there you "need" (Cupcake punch would be my hot pick!)
Anyway, no cupcake punch on today's Thank-You cards ;-)
Perfect Postage stamp set, Blossom Party Die (heart) Spice Cake DSP, Borderlines (heart) all going at the end of the week :-(
Image was punched out with the 1+1/4" circle punch and mounted it onto the Giant Buttons, also from the Spring mini, it's a Spring Mini Fest today!!!
Choc Chip button don't they make great frames?
and the flower behind is made with the Blossom Party Die

Love this thanks, from Thank-You kindly set and punched with the Decorative label punch
and some of them all together
I hope you like today's cards? I will be back tomorrow with the first of next weeks stamp-a-stack cards, message me if you would like to join us :-)
But if you would like to order anything from the Spring Mini then please get in touch asap :-)

Stampin' Up! Borderlines...going soon!

Hello there,
Grotty weather here today, typical bank holiday don't you think?? ;-)
Anyway, I have a card that will cheer you up I'm sure! I have been seeing lots of rainbows around of late, so I decided to make a Rainbow card with the lovely Borderlines stamps, REMEMBER this set will NOT be available after the 30th April when the Spring Mini ends!! Gutted!
So, I stamped the floral line in rainbow colours and then cut it out using the Top Note die
adding clouds using the Cupcake punch! ((Another item not available after the 30th April)) I  inked the edges with Baja Breeze and embossed with .... a sneak peek from the Summer Mini ;-)
 arty angle
and a touch of stamping and embossing inside to finish
I have to admit to loving this card (can you say that about your own cards???) It just feels very summery and I am soooo ready for some sun right now!
Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of the bank holiday whatever you are up to

Thank-You

Hello there,
It's going to be a lovely day again by the look of it and I already have a couple of loads of washing on the line! Shame I have indoors stuff to do today ;-)
I was playing around with a cleaner look the other day, and I love Borderlines for this, and I made this little thank-you card
Borderlines stamped in Wild Wasabi with Melon Mambo itty bitty flowers, great little punches!
and curly cute for the sentiment, now it wasn't meant to be on a banner, but I was trying to be a bit clever and not use a stamp-a ma-jig so it ended up wonky! hence the lil' banner ;-)
Well, that's me for today, I hope you have enjoyed your visit today, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to my Mum!

A little later than planned today as I had the first of this fortnight's classes this morning, a lovely way to spend my Saturday :-)
How would you like to make cards with lovely ladies (and gents) for a living? Then why not join my team of Southern Belles? Message me for more info on becoming a SU! demo with me.
Right, last week was my Mum's birthday and this is the card I made her, I used the Faux Mother of Pearl technique again as I liked the effect so much when I made the class samples a couple of weeks ago.
The lovley flourish is from Everything Elanor and the sentiment is Curly Cute
Another ribbon rose in Pool Party with Wild Wasabi leaves,
I used Pink Pirouette with Pool Party and Sahara Sand colour combo, a lovely subtle and pretty mix with a couple of Vellum card flowers on the Borderlines vines
and more vellum inside too
Well, I hope you liked today's card, Mum did, thankfully ;-)
I will be back tomorrow with details of my next class (31st March, 2nd and 3rd April) this class runs from 9.30-12.30 and we will be making 10 cards for just £14.
Thanks for visiting today

Borderlines and Outlines ;-)

Hello,
I have a card for the next male birthday for you today using the fab Borderlines stamp set. This is a great little set and don't forget it is only available for a limited time too! (Spring mini finishes at the end of April)
Now, most of us find Men's cards hard to make but I was really happy with how this one turned out
It did take a while but only because it "evolved" and ended up quite different to the original idea I had!
I found it too plain as I had a totally white panel to begin with so the rip was the later addition
I heat embossed the Celebrate word with clear embossing powder by inking the stamp with Versamark and then Cherry Cobbler inks before stamping, this keeps the ink wet enough for the powder to stick and so then you can heat emboss in any colour ink you have! You can see it better here..
to get the graduated colours I coloured in using the blender pens and Navy ink pad, then I repeated this but only coloured the top section the second time round, I like this look :-)
and inside I added the second part of the Outlined Occasions sentiments with some more borderlines in the corner, spot my not so deliberate mistake??
Right, that's it for today, don't forget Sale-a-Bration ends on the 31st of March so if you would like to place an order to get your FREE stamps or papers then please message me for a chat :-)
Please remember also that NOW is the BEST time to join SU! too as in addition to the fantastic value starter kit you will also get to choose a FREE stamp set (worth any amount) from any of the current catalogues, again message me to chat about your options :-)

Josh is 15!!

OMG! How old do I feel???!!! Lol!
He doesn't want to do much (typical teen!) so we had brunch and then we are going to chill today I think?
So this was the card I made for him, nice and crisp I think with Black and Lucky Limeade. I did use my old faithful (but retired) Engraved Greetings, so perfect for male cards, which I stamped in Versamark and used White Embossing powder to make it pop on the Limeade
Borderlines was used across the bottom, stamped in Old Olive with a little button to decorate seeing as I am not allowed to use a big ribbon bow ;-)
and to match the card I purchased this large glass jar, filled it with sweets and decorated it using the star punch (also retired) and some matching ribbon
the top of the jar also had a little SU! love
Well, that's it for now. I'm off to tidy the bombsite I call my craft room :-)
Thanks for visiting today
Happy stampin'!

Another Challenge!

O.K. I have been trying to upload this post since late Monday night, Blogger and IE apparently are not friends right now?! But here we are finally ;-)
Another day, another challenge, that two this week and yes, I know! Challenges are like buses at this here blog but when I saw Mandi and Chrissies challenge this week over at LIM was Punches and/or Die cuts I couldn't resist joining in. As you know though I am generally a more is more kinda girl so please, if this is not CAS enough, do feel free to discount it from the challenge :-)
To begin though I must show you the inspiration for the colour combo of Rich Razzleberry and Wisteria Wonder (I also added Sahara Sand as the Neutral) regular readers  may know I was at Gunwharf Quays the other day and when I was there I spotted this stack of towels in a display area. Crazy lady that I am I stood and took a photo of said display (see Zoe waiting patiently too in the reflection, as well as a gawping me, pritty, not!)
and this is the end result of afore mentioned inspiration
Lots of Itty Bitty Punches, DSP flowers and Rhinestones with the fab new 'Borderlines' flower stems to sit on top of (Borderlines can be seen on page 13 of the MINI catalogue)
Now, you can't really see on the top two pics but I also gave this a generous helping of shimmer mist (shimmer paint mixed with Alcohol) so this photo under artificial light (hopefully) shows the sparkle a little more
Well, that today's card, I am off out today with the girls so I really hope this post goes up on time?? I will like it onto the LIM blog later
Thanks for looking and I really hope this is OK for the challenge

Borderlines

Hello there today,
It's a chilly one here, luckily I don't have to go out for very long as I will be spending most of the day getting ready for my All Day class tomorrow, good thing I don't need to tidy my craft room though, that might take more than a day!!!
Anyway, I have a bit of a change from SAB today for you, I recently purchased the fab set Borderlines from the new mini catalogue, love this simple little set and I recently saw this card on pinterest which completely inspired me to make this card, this is not the best picture I'm afraid, the colours have come out a bit funny ;-)
Loving the Basic Grey satin ribbon, but I have done better bows ;-)
The centre hole was punched with the new 2+3/8" scallop circle punch,
I also added the little strip of Whisper White spots along the bottom and white inking around the edges too
Well, that's all for today, I hope you have enjoyed today's card.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to get the finishing touches ready for tomorrow, it should be a blast!

Good morning,
I was up really early (for me) this morning as Zoe had to be at school by 7.15  ready to set off for her school trip to Derbyshire :-) She has been so excited all weekend, and kept saying "I can't believe I'm going" every 5 minutes! So, I have waved goodbye (which was surprisingly short once her friends were there) and now I am just popping on here to post before I take the boys back round to school too, good job we live nice and close ;-)
Anyway, I have a card for you today, I have been playing with the SAB papers this last few days so I will be a doing a series of cards using them this week for you :-)
The first is a more manly card (I think) with the square punches being used to create a background with Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Outlined Occasions used for the sentiment. These can both be yours for FREE, see the pdf HERE
Across the bottom of the card I used the fab new set from the mini catalogue called Borderlines, love this set! Finishing with a string of linen thread,
A closer view of the sentiment, I coloured the letters in using Soft Suede and Crumb Cake using my blender pen, managing to resist the urge to glitter some or all of the letters in the hope of making this a more male card??
Right, that's me done for today. I have loads on this week including getting ready for my All Day Class which is next Sunday, I have one last kit for this class, message me to come and join in the fun!
Plus we are going to decorate Zoe's bedroom for when she comes home as a surprise! It's going to be a busy week!
Thanks for dropping by today
