3rd Card for this months Class

Hello,
A late post from me today, just to share with you another card for this months class which is being held tomorrow and Tuesday, If you would like to come to next months class which will be our Mother's Day class. We will be decorating a candle and making a matching card, it promises to be great fun :-)
Back to this months card, we are concentrating on the Punch Bunch stamps this month which are only available for another 2 weeks! This little baby stamp is so sweet and I have teamed it here with Pear Pizzazz base and Nursery Suite papers, the re is also a blue bowed bunny with a green background in this pack so all flavours of bubbas are catered for ;-)

and this cute sentiment is from the SAB stamp set aptly named So Happy For You ;-) finished with a button from the subtles family and a touch of Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon,

so that's today's card, I will be back tomorrow with another tasty treat, enjoy the rest of your Sunday,

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hello,
I have had such a great week this week! I have had to make a couple of cards and so I like to turn to a sketch to make them different, I showed you one yesterday which I made using the Mojo sketch and today's was made with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch #88, I flipped it so it would fit the sentiment better...
This spotty DSP is from the Celebrations pack and the hearts one is from Play Date on a base of Pacific Point,

the lovely ribbon is the retired spotty one from the Christmas bundle with the star (?) in the background from Hello Again,

the main sentiment is from the beautiful Engraved Greetings,
I think it makes a great unisex greeting depending on what colours you ink it in, and finished (as always) with some Basic Rhinestones :-D

Well that's today's card, I made a couple of matching gifts to go with it which I will show you on Monday hopefully, as long as they have arrived at their destination ;-)
But I will be back tomorrow with the gift I made for my other new Southern Belle which matches yesterdays Mojo card, iykwim,
Thanks for visiting today,

Mojo Monday

Good Morning to you today,
I have a card today I made with this weeks mojo's sketch in Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz (there it is again, I think I have a pear obsession!) and a touch of Poppy Parade,

the main images are from the SAB set Sweet Summer {Free with a £45 order} which I coloured using markers and a blender pen, I love the little bee which I glittered up on his wings using Dazzling Diamonds,
the In Colour ribbon is ruffled here simply onto a piece of DST, it is very easy as it is so soft, I added a little button to the end of it,

and this cute little sentiment is from another SAB set Punch Bunch, it fits perfectly with this frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware tin,

Well that's all today, I hope you liked today's card, I will be back tomorrow with another challenge card, have a lovely day whatever you are up to, we are hiding inside in the warm and dry down here!

More Punch Bunch

Hi there,
I am back today with the second card we will be making in class next week, I think this might be my favourite of this months makes? I just love the colours, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze and a touch of Pear Pizzazz, gorge :-D
a close up of the sentiment, we will be layering it up plenty as per usual ;-)
and this yummy die cut border is from the Nursery Suite papers too, isn't it the best? it is topped with a strip of thin taffeta ribbon in old olive but I think it matches beautifully,

So that's card number 2 for this month, if you want to join us time is running out to reserve your place, email me for more details
Thanks for stopping by today,

February '11 Class

Hello,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, I spent some of it working and some relaxing ;-) perfect!
I also spent yesterday putting the finishing touches to this months class. We will be using mostly the Punch Bunch stamp set for this months projects with a touch of So Happy For You, both sets can be earned for free with a spend of £45 for each.
Onto the card for today, I went with a male birthday card in a trusty easel shape, great for making a mans card a bit special without too many ribbons or the usual flowers iykwim?

The papers used in this months class are from the Nursery Suite Speciality pack, a lovely mix which reminds me of the old favourite Sweet Always from a couple of years back..
We will be layering the main sentiment a few times like so,

and choc chip grosgrain to hold up the easel part,
Well, super quick post today, come back tomorrow for some more cards we shall be creating this month and if you would like to join us then email me for more details,

Sketch Saturday but too late this week

Happy Saturday to you,
So are you wondering what I did with that lovely ribbon rose?? Well, I started by making a tag in Crumb Cake using the lovely Bliss SAB set, more on that a bit later though ...
and then I realised I needed a card and I had copied this sketch into my little book from the Sketch Saturday site for this last week, obviously I am too late (again) to enter by posting today but never mind ;-)

Inside sentiment is Curly Cute and the flourish and flower are again Bliss,
Arty angle,

So, did you like todays card? Would you like to make it? Well you would need the gorgeous Bliss stamp set to do that and you can't just buy it.. but remember you can have it for free!
So here I have put together most of the basic equipment you would need to re-create this card and therefore earn Bliss to go with it,

You could include; In Colour DSP, Crumb Cake Card stock, Designer Label Punch, Spritzer tool (which I just realised I managed to forget to put in photo!), In Colour Markers and your FREE Bliss stamps too. Now this lot would come to approx £57 plus postage but remember this is just a suggestion of what you may want to order to earn your free Sale-a-Bration stamps, for a more detailed look at what there is on offer see the link in side bar <<<<<<<<<<<

Thanks for visiting today and have a lovely rest of your weekend,

Ribbon Rose Tutorial

Hello there,
I love it when you make projects using my tutorials but please be sure to link back here and give credit when you make and post to your blog.
Thank-you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy this tutorial xx
Wow! What a fabulous response I have had to the little ribbon roses I have been making! I have had a few requests for a tutorial so always happy to help here we go :-) although I must warn you in advance this is a long post with lots of pictures!
Lets begin, this is what you need...
3/4" circle punch (you can also use 1" for a larger version), ribbon, card in matching colour to your chosen ribbon, double sided tape, scissors and (optional) rhinestones to finish,

tape up a piece of card and punch out, it will be stiff as the tape sticks to the punch a little :-)

tie a knot as close to the end of the ribbon as you can, leaving it on the reel so you have no waste,
remove tape and stick the knot into the middle of the card tucking the ends under,
fold and twist around in a circle as shown,
when you have covered the circle, stick another piece of tape underneath, cut and stick the ribbon end to it,
and here is the finished flower, blinged up and stuck in the centre of a large flower here but it also looks good on it's own, see here and here for some others,
Well, I hope this is helpful to some of you. I think they are pretty, simple and a little bit of fun to make, if you have a go then please send me your pictures, if you blog them then I would greatly appreciate a link from yours back to this tutorial :-D
I will be back tomorrow with what I made with this pretty flower. Well, I couldn't let it go to waste once I had made it could I??

Long Time No See Butterfly

Hello there,
Thanks for stopping by here today, I really appreciate all your visits.
So, do you remember the card I made for last weeks Sketch Saturday HERE? I just loved the colour combination of Baja Breeze, So Saffron and Poppy Parade so much I decided to use it again so I hope you guys like it too ;-)
I used Flight of the Butterfly for the main image and trail with the small butterfly from the free Sale-a-Bration set So Happy For You,
In Colour Poppy Parade ribbon rose with a Basic Rhinestone middle, I also sprayed the background with shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to give a lovely pearlised finish,
Butterfly was stamped onto Confetti White card and then again onto Vellum Card stock, TIP: wait for the ink to dry before you punch it out as the ink stays wet on the Vellum for quite a long while :-)
and on the inside I used Engraved Greetings which I layered up a few times teamed with the little butterfly again,

Well there you have today's card,
I hope you like and if there is anything you need here (or indeed not here but in the catty ;-)) then email me with your questions/order sarah-janerae@sky.com
