Navy and Copper Hang Your Stocking Card

Hello there,
I have the final card I designed for my Hang Your Stocking class today (you can see the others HERE) and I decided to use the Floral Boutique DSP as I thought the pattern was like falling snow, don't you? I then used the small star shaped stamp on the paper and heat embossed it in copper for a little added interest, what do you think...
I also used the new stitched shape framelits, these are currently unavailable but you can pop in your email and SU! will send you a message when they return, I do love them and they are perfectly designed to match your existing circles, ovals and square layering framelits by SU!
This sentiment is from the stamp set too, I love that mix of fonts!
I do love navy (and copper) and in fact I have just painted my lounge Navy, that's why I have been a little short on blog posts this week ;-) You can have a quick look over on Instagram if you're interested...
Well, that's all for today, I have a rather long list of things to do today (nothing new there, eh?) but thanks as ever for looking today!

Hang Your Stocking by SU! to make Sparkly Cards!

Hello!
I hope you are well? I am in the middle of decorating here, no, not for Christmas but I (perhaps foolishly) decided I was going to re-decorate the lounge this week. Hubby is working away and I have been at work too so it's been a bit of a busy few days here!
Anyway, I am back with more Hang Your Stocking cards* today to share with you using plenty of Glimmer Paper, take a look...
*see the other cards in this series HERE*
So, this is the pink pirouette and smoky slate version, the little 'snow' effect is made using two of the small stamps from the set and versamark on the slate card.
TIP: To adhere your fine stocking die cuts use a sponge dipped in tombow on a silicone mat to coat the back of the die cut.
And this one is in more traditional colours but just as pretty! The snow on here is stamped using crumb cake ink as versamark doesn't show up on vanilla and white card.
I love the smooth look of the foil sentiment combined with the glimmer of the stockings.
And both together to finish today!
I hope you've enjoyed today's cards? I'll be back tomorrow with more, but for now, thanks for looking!

A 'Hang Your Stocking' Shaker Card

Hello!
I have my very favourite style of card for you today, a Shaker Card! I have made so very many and I still love both making them and the end results ;-) If you have no idea where to start with a shaker card I made a video tutorial HERE using balloon dies but the steps are the same. If you have any questions or wish to see a new video then please do give me a shout!
So, onto this new shaker card. This card is part of a mini series I have had running this week which happens to coincide with a couple of special offers from SU! More HERE and HERE, TIP: Purchase these stamps and dies separately for the cheapest deal 'till the 28th Nov '16. You can see all the posts in this mini series HERE.
So, back to today's card. I used both the stamps and dies to make mini stockings that were either stamped, heat embossed or die cut from glimmer paper for inside the shaker section and teamed them with the This Christmas DSP from the Annual catalogue to make this card...
I die cut the hole using the largest scallop circle die in the circles framelits set as I wanted a good sized window for my shaker.
TIP: To prevent the stockings sticking behind each other (and not 'shaking') add a couple of dimensionals to the rear of each stocking but did not peel the backing off.
This sentiment is from the Hang Your Stocking set, I changed up the layout and used the scalloped oval at the front with a pain oval behind for a different look.
Add a touch of gold glitter paper across the bottom topped with Gold natural ribbon and we're done!
Well, I hope you enjoyed todays shaker card as much as I did making it? And I hope you give it a go!
