Football Monster Hugs!

Hi there,
I have been playing with my Monster Hugs this week and so have 3 cards to share with you over the next few days! Finally, I hear ;-) and I'm going to start with a Football (soccer) version today.
Now, these are meant for small gift giving and would make fab party favours, table presents or why not pop one between pass the parcel layers? So many uses but alas there are no birthdays coming along in our house soon so I decided to add these little cuties to a card :-)
I stamped the football onto a 10.5 square Garden Green card using versamark and added a sentiment from Blue Ribbon layered with Champagne glimmer paper (all links to products are at the end of this post) to make this....
I wanted to make the football 3d so I used lots of punches for this but if you don't have them you could simply stamp out 3 or 4 and stack them in his arms.
For mine I stamped the ball 4 times with staz on and punched with the 1+1/4", 1", 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches, layering each with dimensionals, et voilĂ !
these little monsters have a note on the back and this cute butt too! I wanted to see this on this card so I punched out an XL Oval for this window ;-) Cute huh??
OK, I will be back tomorrow with another Monster hugs card.
Thanks for looking today!

Football Card

Hello there,
I made a couple of Football (soccer) cards today to share with you, I always need boy cards and most boys love to kick a ball around, I have kept the colour combo neutral, ie: not team colours so they can be used for any boy, whatever team he supports. I have used the now retired "Just Soccer" stamp set but you can still purchase a very similar (no boots though) set called Goal, find it on page 47 of the IB&C :-)
A silver  brad acts as a hook for the boots with the fab Square Lattice embossing folder giving some cool texture underneath (reminds me of astro turf?)
and this version is a little different, less texture but "movement" of the ball instead
main ball was punched and mounted on dimensionals for texture
I decorated teh insides of both the same, simple but effective, I think
Right, quick post today, I have to take Josh out, the dog for a walk and finish my prep for my first ever scrapbook club tomorrow night, busy busy!!

Harrison is 7!

Good Morning!
Last day and then 4 more off then, are you looking forward to and/or doing anything special for the Royal Wedding? We are hoping to do something, although we are still undecided exactly what, as of yet.
Anyway, today I have Harrison's birthday card and matching milk carton to show you, his birthday was last week but his party was just yesterday and I was running a little late so I only made this yesterday lunch time ;-)
The colour combo is Basic Grey and Pacific Point but the stamp set I have used is retired, there is however a similar football set on page 41 of the current catalogue. Harrison is football mad so this card set was the perfect choice for him,
The boots on both the card and box are hanging from crochet thread,
Inside the card,
and the matching carton which I would have filled with choccy footballs had I been a tad earlier in the making of it- instead it had mini eggs, he didn't mind though :-)
Well, short and sweet from me today, I am entering this card in the "Less is More" challenge this week which is off centre,
Thanks for stopping by today, if there is any Stampin' Up! products that you have seen today and "need" then please don't hesitate to get in touch ;-)

Milk Carton for Dad's Day

Hello to you all,
I have popped on here to share a few photos of another Milk Carton I have made to send to my dad for Father's Day, I have filled it with sweets for him, all ready to post on Monday. I hope it gets there in time (it's got to go to Spain!)
They are busy digging the footings today for the extension today so I have not got any jobs to do in the house without getting in someones way, so nothing else to do but play then eh?!
Here it is front and back, I covered the Kraft base using the Cheers to You wheel and versamark, star punched out from Sweet Pea Designer Paper, Beer Mug is from Cheers to you, sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set, and the football and boot is Just Soccer. Yummy Old Olive Satin Ribbon wrapped with Linen Thread finishes off the top.
As you can see I made it to match the card I showed you a few weeks ago.
Milk Carton Tutorial link is in the side bar-> -> -> ->

Short and sweet today I'm afraid, hopefully I will be back tomorrow with some more cardy stuff to share with you all, in the mean time have a nice Saturday and if you watch the footie "Come on England" :-)

Quick Footie Card

Good Morning to you all,
I have a cool little footie card for you today, I have scheduled this post as I will be a bit busy getting tidy and any last minute jobs before Saturdays Fathers Day class,
This card uses the Just Soccer stamp set which incidentally Zack and his friend decided was the best card I had out as they were eating their tea last night, so safe to say a good set for little (and also much bigger) boys ;-)
Happy Birthday was stamped in White Craft Ink using the Happy Moments SAB set, The footballs were stamped in Old Olive Ink to match the card with 'Goal' stamped in Versmark to give a little contrast,
I stamped and punched the football then raised it on foam pads but I only glued the toe of the boots to the card so the back stood out but they stayed in place,
I stamped a couple of the balls inside to finish it off.
If you would like to see this card and more in the flesh then please drop by the Southampton Papercraft show on the 5th June between 10.30 and 3.30 at St James Methodist Church Hall, St James Road in Shirley, please email me for more directions if you need them.
I will be demonstrating there and also there will be a little make and take for you to have a try for yourself the wonderful quality and co-ordination of SU! Stamps, Punches and Paper.
I am really excited to see lots of you there
Bye for now, Hugs S.J. xxx

2 Of The Same

Good morning,
Well, I am unpacked and all the washing done from our little trip, we had a nice time but boy, did we pick the coldest weekend to go away??? Unfortunately we didn't get to do much as we would have liked due to the cold, wet weather, but still it was nice to get away.
Just before we went away I was asked by a friend to make a card for her dads birthday, I had made one a week or so before ready for Fathers Day and she wanted the same but with birthday. Clear as mud? Yes? Well hopefully the photos will do a better job of explaining!! ;-) he he.
As you can see I layered up the images a bit more on the 2nd one and also added a bit of paper piercing to some of the squares, Football and boot are from Just Soccer, Beer mug is from Cheers to You, Fathers day sentiment is from Occasional Greetings, and Birthday one is from Cheer and Wishes.

I also used lashings of Crystal Effects on the top stars, love it!
and this is the inside of the birthday card...

Well, she was happy with it and I hope her Dad was pleased too.

Before I go and do a few bits, just a quick reminder that I have just 5 shares left now for the new colour ribbon, card and paper share, please see top post or email me on sarah-janerae@sky.com for more info.
Good to be back and looking forward to hearing from you, my lovely blogging buddies :-)

Josh's Football Card

Hiya,
How about a nice easy day today?? nope not for me! lol! We managed to get through Josh's party/sleepover yesterday, and a party Zack was invited to and now today Zack has another party!! And yes all mine are shattered and really miserable too!! lucky me ;0)
So here is the card I made for Josh using the great set Just Soccer, bargain too, just £10.95.
I think it would be fab for both men and boys, and we all know how hard they are to make for don't we?? of course football loving girls could be accommodated too ;0)

The fold of this card was inspired by a card I received for my birthday from Ruth, thanks hun x

I cut the boot out and layered it on with dimensionals,

Sparkly card was from my stash but matches Old Olive perfectly don't you think? More Mustard card was used for the scalloped layer and I simply used my snips on an offcut to make the "grass". The background was stamped in Old Olive ink using the football. I love this set, get ready for lots more using it!! Right gotta get homework done before the party!

and finally, just a quick reminder that Sale-a-Bration finishes today!!! you need to email me your order before tonight for your chance to earn free sets :0)

Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
