Mini Milk Carton Bird Houses with Christmas Owls

Hello there,
Hubby went on his work Christmas do today and he wanted a little something for the girls he works with so this is what I spent a whole day last weekend making ;-)
I started with the Mini Milk Carton Die, some Crumb Cake card {the Crease Pad makes this job a lot easier as the score lines are a lot less likely to cut right through ;-)} and of course the Big Shot!
Once cut I folded the score lines and then before assembling I stamped with the Woodgrain Background stamp.
Top Tip: This die cut carton is too big to stamp all in one go, I simply folded it in half and stamped twice, this also gives the added bonus of the woodgrain was going vertically as it would naturally :-)
To make the roof I punched strips of Early Espresso card with the Scallop Edge Punch, then stamped the strips using White Craft ink and the (retired) Serene Snowflakes stamp set. A current set that would work could be Festive Flurry. Then I inked each edge, again with white craft ink, before glueing them first together and then to the milk carton sides.
A torn white card strip makes the snow cap and when removed allows access to the goodies inside :-)
Then I added a Punched Owl accented with Red Glimmer Paper to the front,
and sat him on a Gumball green branch made with the Bird Punch
and Santa Owl was topped with a cute hat :-)
OK, I will share the finished bagged and tagged houses with you tomorrow but that's all from me for tonight.
I hope you liked today's treat holders and thanks as always for looking.

Candy Wrapper and Milk Carton dies

Hello there today,
I hope those reading in the UK you enjoyed your extra hour in bed last night ;-)
Today I have some little gifts I made to give out at my all day classes a few weeks ago.
I started by useing the Candy Wrapper die for these little crackers and added a tree also die cut but using the Holiday Collection Framelit dies,
I decorated the trees using the straight stamp from Make a Mitten, I think it makes for great tinsel ;-) The holly leaf is from the same set
Now, I wanted to give out a little tag saying thanks and so I made these, adding a peg to which I stuck a magnet onto the back so they can be used on the fridge afterwards
a different paper but they are all from the Festival of Prints stack which can be viewed HERE
Sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (page 134 of the main catty) and their matching dies
and here is a group shot sharing the sparkly champagne glimmer paper and snowflakes made with the Bigz die which is also in the Autumn/Winter catalogue
And finally as I did run the All Day Class a second time I made Mini Milk Cartons for a change on those days
same idea with the trees though
I love the look of these trees with their decoration and so in this weeks stamp-a-stack we made a card using the same idea, I will share those with you tomorrow!
Thanks as ever for visiting me today,

I have decorated these Pillow boxes with the following stamp sets....
Bordering on Romance, Just Soccer,

Valentines Class

Hello,
So, I have for you today the projects we will be making at the next class I have running. The dates are 21st, 23rd, 24th and 25th January and it will be Valentines themed.
I have some spots left still, but not many so please message me soon to reserve a spot :-)
So this is what we will be making at this class
I have designed a cute little carrier especially for the mini milk carton die that SU! sell exclusively, I have also decided to write a full tutorial for this, watch this space for more details very soon!
PLUS if you purchase the die from me then I will send the tutorial to you for FREE! Message me for details or to place your order.
We will also be making this CAS card using the yummy new glimmer paper amongst other things,
and finally we will be stamping a clay ornament, I love this and have made a few different versions, I am wanting to make them tidier by using cutters to get a better shape instead of the more "hand finished" look ;-) More pics to follow I am sure...
O.K. that's all for today, I hope you like these projects and if you would like to come along then please do get in touch :-)

Harrison is 7!

Good Morning!
Last day and then 4 more off then, are you looking forward to and/or doing anything special for the Royal Wedding? We are hoping to do something, although we are still undecided exactly what, as of yet.
Anyway, today I have Harrison's birthday card and matching milk carton to show you, his birthday was last week but his party was just yesterday and I was running a little late so I only made this yesterday lunch time ;-)
The colour combo is Basic Grey and Pacific Point but the stamp set I have used is retired, there is however a similar football set on page 41 of the current catalogue. Harrison is football mad so this card set was the perfect choice for him,
The boots on both the card and box are hanging from crochet thread,
Inside the card,
and the matching carton which I would have filled with choccy footballs had I been a tad earlier in the making of it- instead it had mini eggs, he didn't mind though :-)
Well, short and sweet from me today, I am entering this card in the "Less is More" challenge this week which is off centre,
Thanks for stopping by today, if there is any Stampin' Up! products that you have seen today and "need" then please don't hesitate to get in touch ;-)

April Class

Hello!
Happy Easter Monday! How was your Easter Sunday? It was a lovely hot day here and we had a BBQ with my Mum and Hubby's Dad, it's so lovely to be able to eat outside isn't it?? my favourite bit of the summer :-)
Well, this Bank Holiday Monday I had the first of this months classes, and it was great! the projects we made went down well and so did the Rose Water cupcakes! Yum!
So, here is what we made, a card, a bookmark and my favourite- the mini milk carton (surprise!)
I started the card by looking through the mini catalogue and was inspired by one on page 6, I think it turned out quite different though..
much more vintagey with the Glass Glitter for the flower centre, this glitter ages as it sits on your project giving you a tarnished look,
Sentiment is from Artistic Etchings with the Seam Binding having had a thread pulled from the middle to get the ruffle,
Then we had to use the Owl Punch so we made a bookmark inspired by some Julie made,
Love the owl punch with seam binding ribbon around the bottom of the mark,

and finally the mini milk carton, it is similar to the one I made for my Jems swap,
Well, that's today's projects for you, If you would like to come to next months class then please get in touch, we will be making a little brag book and card for Fathers Day. I have some exciting news regarding classes, more details tomorrow once I have told my regular ladies, there's another good reason to come... you get to find out all the details first!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Stampin' Hugs
