Smitten Mittens in Gold and Navy

Hello there and thanks for visiting me here on Christmas Eve!
I have one last hurrah of Christmas cards today but I don't just have one card, oh no! I have three (albeit similar) cards to share with you today :-) So let's have a little look, shall we?
I actually made five of these cards, all inspired by some lovely navy felt I had ordered this week :-)
Both the sentiments are from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.
TIP 1: I used a gold sharpie to colour the pearl (or an enamel spot would work too) to hang the mittens.
And I also used the pen to edge the sentiment...
TIP 2: Hold both the pen and the sentiment facing upwards, that way if you slip with the pen it will be on the reverse.
I love the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and it's so versatile. My New Years resolution is to use this folder much more often!
And all three of them together to finish today.
Well, that's all my Christmas cards this year! And I managed to blog them all before Christmas! Things are looking up :-)
I'd just like to take this moment to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I hope you have a wonderful time with those you hold near and dear.
Thank you for your continued support and I'm look forward to sharing lots more with you in the upcoming weeks and months xxx

Mitten Christmas Trees

Hello there,
We made today's card at one of my stamp a stacks this Christmas. I just love using the border stamp from Make a Mitten to decorate the Christmas tree die cuts from Scentsational season, I think the tree is my most used die this Christmas card making season!!
Today's card uses a colour combo of Island Indigo, Pool Party and Midnight Muse with the balance of Crumb Cake and of course silver bling stars!!
Most of this card was stuck flat so it would post cheaply (always a factor nowadays ;-)) but we did have to add a bit of dimension to the little stars!
This card is a great way to use up the scraps of card you can never throw away too ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to visit FIL now and decorations are going up tomorrow too, very late for us this year but it we seem to get later and later every year!!
Back tomorrow, I promise!

Candy Wrapper and Milk Carton dies

Hello there today,
I hope those reading in the UK you enjoyed your extra hour in bed last night ;-)
Today I have some little gifts I made to give out at my all day classes a few weeks ago.
I started by useing the Candy Wrapper die for these little crackers and added a tree also die cut but using the Holiday Collection Framelit dies,
I decorated the trees using the straight stamp from Make a Mitten, I think it makes for great tinsel ;-) The holly leaf is from the same set
Now, I wanted to give out a little tag saying thanks and so I made these, adding a peg to which I stuck a magnet onto the back so they can be used on the fridge afterwards
a different paper but they are all from the Festival of Prints stack which can be viewed HERE
Sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (page 134 of the main catty) and their matching dies
and here is a group shot sharing the sparkly champagne glimmer paper and snowflakes made with the Bigz die which is also in the Autumn/Winter catalogue
And finally as I did run the All Day Class a second time I made Mini Milk Cartons for a change on those days
same idea with the trees though
I love the look of these trees with their decoration and so in this weeks stamp-a-stack we made a card using the same idea, I will share those with you tomorrow!
Thanks as ever for visiting me today,

SU! Stitched Felt Ornaments

Hello there,
I was having a play around with the stitched ornaments from the Autumn/Winter catalogue ready for the all day class and came up with this simple and easy to make card using them, this is another card which would be easy to make in multiples. I embossed the DSP with the woodgrain folder but it's not that easy to see here ;-)
A close up of the pretty stitched felt, I also used the border style stamp from Make a Mitten across the bottom for a bit of extra detail
and finally a sweater trim pull to open the card finishes it off nicely
Right, I'm off out with the family for a bit, back soon!
Thanks for stopping by today,

More Make a Mitten

Hello,
I am back to sharing my all day class makes with you today. As you may guess by now I love the Make a Mitten stamp set and this one is a fairly easy card to make multiples of as I simply inked the mittens using my markers for the multi coloured effect before die cutting them out as a whole with framelits
I added Pool Party bakers twine for the string and glue dotted it up at the side so it didn't just hang ;-)
This pretty effect was made using versamark on the matching wheel and heat embossed with white embossing powder, looks pretty doesn't it?
Right, I'm off to get ready for next weeks New Catalogue class, I still have a couple of places left on Wednesday if you would like to join us then please email me to book a place
Thanks for visiting today

Make a Mitten card

Hello there,
I am back today with another card made at my All day Class last week. For this one we used the very versatile Make a Mitten stamp set, but just for the background on todays make!
The card uses a favourite Christmas colour combo of mine of Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler,
We used the matching punch to make the actual mittens and I think they turned out pretty cute!
TIP: Punch your first mitten from the paper and then flip the paper over for the second mitten. This gives you a pair of mittens rather than two with thumbs going the same way ;-)
We also used the new piercing guides found in the Autumn/Winter catalogue (page 30) and just £7.25!
Pierce on the reverse side of your paper for this look.
and some Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim finishes this card off reminding me of the string you used to have when you were little keeping your mittens in your coat :-D
Right, back tomorrow with more
Thanks for stopping by today,

Another All Day Class

Hello,
After last weeks very successful All Day Class I have had a couple of people ask, as they couldn't make it to the first date, if I am doing another one before Christmas? As I haven't any more dates planned for new all day events I have decided to run it again for one more day :-) The next date is going to be the 4th October running from 9 till 3, so during the school day, this is the same amount of time as the Saturday class just an earlier start :-)))
The cost is £30 and you will get over £25 worth of products plus full instructions and use of all the equipment needed plus as much or as little help as you need too. I can  also send you the kit by post but you would need to provide your own stamps (or purchase them from me) to make the exact same cards.
Closing date to reserve your place is MONDAY 24th SEPTEMBER, this is so your kit arrives in plenty of time, message me today sarah-janerae@sky.com
So, I thought I might share with you some of the projects from the class....
These cards are from  the stamps a stack section of the class and show a sneak peek at the 4 cards you would be making two of,
some Gingerbread men from Scentsational Season
3d Ornament using Ornament Keepsakes set
  a blingy snowflake
  and some cute mittens :-)
So, if you would like to come along for some crafty fun then email me today for details :-)
