Inspire. Create. Challenge #005. A Sketch!

Hello there!
Today see's a new challenge on Inspire. Create and it's a great looking sketch again this week and we'd love it if you could join in!! But first of all, let's see this sketch....
I decided to go all out bling using two of the papers from the Year of Cheer DSP, teamed with the extra sparkle of glitter! *Bling* ;-)
This handsome fellow is from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and I coloured him very simply using my new Stampin' Blends. I also added some texture paste to the bottom of the stitched circle and dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter for some snowy ground for him to stand on :-)
Tinsel trim and both gold and silver enamel shapes finish this card off!
Well, I did say I went all out on bling!  I love the mix of metallics and hope you do too. Don't forget you can join in with this challenge too! For tons more inspiration please visit the Inspire. Create. Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have been up to!

Inspire. Create. Sketch Challenge #002

Hello!
I can hardly believe two weeks have gone by since the first challenge for Inspire. Create. Challenges! And now here we are again, back with a Sketch challenge this week, my personal favourite of the "kick starters" for when I get stuck, take a look...
So, as I said, I do love a sketch and I actually made three cards using this one!!
Today I will share just the one that closely follows the sketch for you but please do pop back this week and see the rest of the cards I've made inspired by this sketch.
OK, lets get started! I used Seasonal Chums for this card along with a cute boxwood wreath...
This sentiment is included in the stamp set. You *may* have noticed I'm partial to a banner or two ;-)
I stamped the little deer onto shimmer card before using my aqua painter and blender pens to colour him (or her?)
Now, I have had this Pinewood Planks E.F. for quite a while but not broken it out until now, but, hello!! Why didn't I??? It's so lovely! It's a special "dynamic" folder meaning it's extra thick and it gives really deep impressions! So, in the imortal words of Ronald, I'm loving it!
 And here's a final shot of today's card :-)
Well, I do hope you will have a go at this weeks sketch challenge at Inspire. Create.
For more ideas and inspiration using this sketch then please do hop over to the INSPIRE. CREATE. BLOG and take a look at what the other DT members have made, I'm sure you'll be bowled over!
As I mentioned, I'll have more ideas with this sketch this week so I hope to see you here again soon! Thanks for looking today,

Hang Your Stocking Reindeer Card.

Hello!
I have a fun little card here today for you using the Hang Your Stocking stamps and matching Christmas Stocking thinlits. Don't forget if you purchase them separately 'till the 28th Nov they come to just £33.15! You can SHOP HERE with me or via the supply list at the end of this post :-)
**To see all the cards in this series go HERE (more posts will show as the week goes on)**
So, I've been wanting to make a little reindeer using these stamps and dies and I decided to use the stitched edge stamp in the set on kraft card to make this little chap. I am so pleased with how he turned out!! Take a look....
I used the Tree Builder Punch for this antlers and a regals enamel spot for his nose :-)
I decided to keep the card base CAS so I die cut stitched edge oval framelit from white card and inlaid it flat onto a white card base, giving a frame without too much fuss.
and I finished this reindeer with a couple of jingly bells tied around with twine!
What do you think?
Right, that's all from me for today, back tomorrow with another stocking card!

A Cookie Cutter Reindeer with the Cable Knit Folder by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
And welcome to another Cookie Cutter Christmas card. I shared an early view of this card on Instagram last week and it got a lot of love over there. I was really pleased with how this card turned out but what do you think??
Here are my Top Tips for this card with this super adorable reindeer ;-)
TOP TIP #1: Stamp him in basic black onto crumb cake card.
TOP TIP #2 : I coloured him in using a blender pen and ink pads. First I coloured the face in crumb cake then added shading with tip top taupe. Then I coloured his antlers using chocolate chip then went back over them with tip top taupe. I used Real Red for his nose.
TOP TIP #3 : I like to punch him out using the matching punch but think that trimming around his antlers by hand just finishes him off perfectly.
TOP TIP #4 : Make your own envelopes for this size card (10.5cm x 10.5cm or 4.1" x 4.1")
TOP TIP #5 : If you don't have an envelope punch board to do that then be sure to pop back here on Saturday for some extra special offers running for just 5 days celebrating World Cardmaking Day.
I'm in love with the cable knit embossing folder! I used the Classic Label to punch the sentiment which is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.
A top-ish view of the fold. I really enjoyed making this card especially as I hadn't made one in this shape for years! My friend Amanda already made a fab tutorial for this square card HERE, just omit the strip going across for this version.
That's all for today but don't forget my Prize Draw for September with any order  ;-)
